My tween daughter really wanted to try rolled ice cream so this was the closest place I could find at the time. It was spur of the moment so I didn't have a chance to do my Yelp research beforehand. Upon entering, I thought it was nicely decorated and the employees were very friendly. My daughter picked a small original with strawberry mix in, cookie straws, and whipped cream. The total was a little under $11. I can't get over the extremely high price. There was only an option for small or regular but really they should also have a kids size. The small was way too much for her. Anything and everything (mix-in, topping, syrups) was an additional $0.55 each on top of the high base price. It was fun to watch them make the rolled ice cream and the finished product was super cute, but I won't be returning based on price alone. We might check out other rolled ice cream shops next time though.
Delicious, great customer service, and color changing spoons! I drove here 30 minutes and it was definitely worth the drive, they have so many flavors, toppings, and add ins.
Super cool way to eat ice cream!! It's like a fro yo place mixed with cold stone but they make the ice cream "spirals" in front of you. Tons of mix-in and topping options to choose from and they also have specials as well.
I've seen many videos of rolled ice cream but didn't realize there was a location so close to me. There were SO MANY options for toppings and combinations. The staff at Frozen Spirals were very helpful, and the ice cream was really delicious. A really fun twist on traditional ice cream. I ordered a matcha ice cream with condensed milk and shortbread cookies. They made the ice cream right in front of me and added the milk and cookies as the cream started to freeze. I also topped it with hello pandas. It was a really fun flavor combination!
Wouldn't make a regular stop but it's certainly delicious. Especially when you consider the Starbucks across the street for a sweet treat. Or local schools within walking distance. I'd much rather of had this after school then a drink with a mermaid on the cup. Open for a year now so I figured it's time to stop in and taste. Went in Wednesday evening figuring we would have a bit more time to make selections. Also avoid a crowd of kids and families. That mostly worked out, it's a popular place even at the onset of Fall/Winter. Opted for the Matcha Madness with popping boba x3. Went all in! I expected a poo rock type situation but basically it's Boba meets Gushers. Partner did a original (vanilla) base with bananas, butterfinger, and coconut toppings. One size cup from the pre-made or custom menu. For an evening treat I may suggest sharing it with your significant other. Maybe in future they'll release a smaller half portion size. Owner was extremely nice and helped out on the production line. We were waited on but an extremely patient and cheerful young man aware it was our first visit. Will certainly be back and with numerous friends!
After waiting 30 minutes from time of ordering, we witnessed two guys go in without masks talk with their friend behind the counter. The two "friends" proceeded to stick their head over the glass where our ice cream was being made to talk to the employee. The employee brought our first ice cream out and we asked him to ask the guys to step away from where our food was being made. He went inside and sarcastically yelled at his friends to step away. They did go outside. I didn't want to write a bad review because I know how hard it is to be a business but this needs to be addressed. I will happily take down orthis review if I see that a training has been put in place to prevent this from happening again in the future. ****UPDATE**** I was not contacted by anyone representing the company but I was harassed by a few different Yelp accounts because of my review. I've attached screenshots.
I am so happy I found this place! It is such a unique twist on a classic dessert. They have many signature options to choose from or you can create your own! We chose monkey business and mint to be. Monkey business was banana and Nutella while mint to be was a mint Oreo and chocolate sauce. You also got to pick one complimentary topping, yum!! They were both delicious, the mint to be was richer than the monkey business. It's so fun to watch them "make" your ice cream. My favorite part besides the delicious ice cream was the spoons! They have color changing spoons which I love since I'm still a kid at heart. The little details just make your experience so much more special and unique. I also think this is a local family owned small business, which I love to support. I believe both the owners were working when I visited. You need to try this local ice cream shop and support your community in the process!
I cannot believe how highly this dump is rated. Skimpy and a cheap knock off of ICENY (rip) don't waste your time or money here. I ordered a Cookie Monster, see picture. It's supposed to have every kind of cookie including Oreo and chocolate sauce which neither appeared in my dessert. There's supposed to be chocolate chip cookie crumbles and as you can see, barely a sneeze of cookie made it into this "confection". My wife ordered the mangoberry and got a singular slice of mango. Weak, expensive and incredibly disappointing.
This place is great! The shop is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The great taste of both the ice cream and toppings is probably due to the high quality ingredients they use. Want great ice cream...come here!
So fun to watch them make. This is delicious! Staff was welcoming and friendly. The inside was exceptionally clean and seats about 15. I'm pretty sure this is the best ice cream I've ever had. The portion is large enough to share.
natural fruits only! Had so much fun while waiting for my ice cream You can also print selfies here

Cool little spot, ice cream was good honestly. Service was pretty slow especially considering other rolled ice cream spots that I have been to. Took around 25 minutes to get the ice cream which considering is quite long. Unfortunately wouldn't merit a revisit in my opinion. read more

Amazing!!!! It was delicious, I do recommend it. I would love to try other flavors but the one I ate was good read more
We were looking for a sweet treat after seeing a movie at the nearby Alamo Drafthouse, and as we drove around we saw Frozen Spirals and had to stop! The inside is adorable with colorful walls and the amazing looking freezer display of all the ice cream flavors. Once you choose your ice cream flavor/s, the staff goes to work flattening it out into a roll, adding in the toppings you've picked, and then rolling and rolling into little curls that make almost a "bouquet" of ice cream! It's super neat to see the process and even better to TASTE it. I got the coffee base ice cream with caramel syrup and Oreo crumbles (and a smiley marshmallow on top)! My husband got the horchata ice cream base with brownie mixed in and just whipped cream on top - it was also amazing! They have so many options for the base, mix-ins, and toppings - you will for sure find a combination that fits your taste. read more

The decoration inside is super cool and feels very fun. I also love how all the ice creams are named after The Never Ending Story. The ice cream is super fun to eat and super tasty. Highly recommend if you're looking for a sweet treat! read more

Frozen spirals is a special ice cream shop! Hidden away, this place makes rolled ice cream to order creating some amazing flavor combinations! The staff is very friendly with welcoming smiles and the place is well decorated. Fun Note: when they add sauce to your rolled ice cream they draw cute little pictures before rolling the ice cream. Favorite flavors so far: s'mores, strawberry cheesecake, matcha green tea read more

Twas AWESOME! Went on a cold day but who cares! Got a coffee base with chocolate syrup. She made a Swan! I didn't get a picture of it, but it was so cool! Four toppings we got more chocolate syrup, banana, and whipped cream. Strawberry would have been better than getting the whipped cream. The consistency was awesome! Creamy and a little of that frozen taste to it. Having the syrup IN the spirals made for having some topping throughout the ice cream. The color changing spoons they give out are so cool! They're going to be something I collect, lol. They change colors when it's cold. There is a water dispenser with fruit in it. Free water is always nice. They have another feature where you can connect to their wifi, take a picture with your dessert and friends, and print it out there in the store. They hang them on the window where you sit. It's cool to look over them whole you chow down. Overall awesome spot! There's also a cool thrift store in the plaza that is worth checking out after you've had your dessert :-) read more

Tasty ... Pure novelty as far as I'm concerned only one size so it makes it pretty expensive for a family of 5 .. $7 per person I really enjoyed the nutella :) My kids enjoyed watching the ice cream being made staff was nice read more

My daughter and I have been wanting to try this spiral ice cream for a while now, but didn't know if anywhere to that made it. My expectations were not that high, not sure why, but it ended up being great! The texture was really smooth and it wasn't overly sweet. They had lots to choose from, but we ended up going with s'mores flavor ( Fantastic) Everyone was VERY nice and friendly. My daughter thought the best part was the color changing spoon! read more

Nice little corner ice cream shop with friendly staffs. There's plenty of ice cream flavors to choose from so you can make endless combinations of mix and match. They also use fresh fruits like strawberries, mango, kiwi so that's a plus. read more

I saw some complaints on Yelp about the price and blah blah blah. I don't disagree with them. You are going to be paying about $6 for a cup of ice cream. Might as well buy a tub of ice cream at the grocery store, right? But Frozen Spirals is about the experience. It is not a fancy ice cream shop but I'm all for supporting small locally owned businesses. Especially, the couple rolling the ice cream are so cute! They take their time to personalize each cup with cool designs. They can draw so well! The results are not disappointing. The ice cream is actually not bad! And to make your cup even extra, they ask you what color spoon you want and to your surprise, it changes color! So expect a little wait and enjoy the show. read more

It's good for the money and I'll definitely be back, so many choices. Be prepared for a wait, we waited 25 minutes just to get two ice creams. It's nothing more than the boys working can only work so fast. Get those boys some help (they're hiring by the way). The two boys working 7/23 evening did such a good job handling the crowd, and making orders correctly. They absolutely did the best they could and didn't give up. When we left the line was out the door. We'll definitely go back. But maybe during a less busy time. I got the s'mores with a rolled waffle cookie (pictured) and my husband had Say cheese with bananas. read more

Just took both my kids here today, and this place is incredible! My kids loved watching their ice cream being made - the owner even pulled up a chair so my 2-year-old son could see over the counter. It's really a great place to bring the kids for and ice cream experience that's markedly different than anywhere else. Frozen Spirals is clean and has a friendly staff, but the ice cream is also fantastic! It's fun watching your dessert being made right in front of your eyes, but because it's made right there with a variety of mix-ins, the flavor possibilities are virtually endless! Add to that a plethora of toppings, and you've got a treat fit for Instagram! And, speaking of, don't leave without printing out that tasty pic to hang on their wall of fame! read more

So happy we found this place! I had the s'mores rolled ice cream, and it was amazing! I've been to another rolled ice cream place in Denver and this place was much better. I had this layer of cream on my Palate at the other place which had turned me off of rolled ice cream. But I didn't experience that at Frozen Spirals! It was deliciously cold and icy, not as creamy which I appreciated!!! read more
