I absolutely love this place. The ice cream is great and the owner, George, always remembers me when I come in.

The long line would give you 16 selections and options for milkshakes etc. I got the Salty O on the waffle cone - salty Oreo's highkey really good. We didn't have to wait in line cause salty o was in the express lane. The outdoor seating is plenty. So many different spots to sit down and enjoy your ice cream. Need to try more flavors.

This…read morelocation of Little Man is an absolute icon in Denver, as noted by the line stretching up the sloped street at nearly any time of day. Beyond serving ice cream, they serve as an outdoor gathering spot with events like ice cream making, movies on a projector screen, and live music throughout the year. They also sell real Christmas trees (little ones for the little men/women in your life) during the holidays. This is LoHi, so be prepared for a bit of street parking headache if you're driving here. While waiting in line, browse the posted signs for current specials and sneak a peek at the scoop flavors posted between each order window. On extra long wait days, you can walk down the street to their factory location just a few yards down to save time on their year-round flavors. They do have dairy-free options as well. Once you're at the front, walk up to the first open scooper at any of the various windows and you can sample any flavor on the menu. Obviously the Salty O (a salty Oreo) is a staple, but I'm partial to their Ube Cheesecake (it does taste like ube!) as well. Some of their salty flavors can err a little TOO salty, which was a first for me ice cream wise, so just be warned that I wouldn't get more than a single scoop of these unless you're a sodium fiend. Their ice cream sandwiches are pretty good too, but come out solid as a rock from the freezer so you might get stuck thawing this in your pocket while the rest of your friends are downing their dessert. Take a minute to unplug and people watch on the patio while you enjoy.

Another awesome ice cream spot in Denver. Bonnie Brae Ice Cream might officially have one of my…read morefavorite ice cream flavors I've ever had: the Oatmeal Raisin. They don't just make the ice cream taste like oatmeal raisin cookies; there are huge chunks of actual oatmeal raisin cookies mixed throughout, which made it even better. If you're an oatmeal raisin cookie fan like I am, this flavor is an absolute must-try!! I also tried the Salted Oreo. I normally love a salty-and-sweet combo, but this one leaned a little too salty for my personal taste. Still good, just not quite as much of a standout for me as the oatmeal raisin. Overall, definitely a spot worth checking out, and I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more flavors.

It always hits the spot and I never get tired of it. It has that classic neighborhood feel where there is usually a line outside, but it is always worth the wait. The Order: Salted Oreo & Price The Salted Oreo is my go-to because it has the perfect sweet and salty balance I love. If I'm not getting that, I'm getting the Lemon Custard. Both are incredible. For a double scoop in a cup, it cost about $8-$9. While they have great vegan and dairy-free options, the Salted Oreo I get is their traditional dairy version. Homemade: One of the reasons it tastes so good is that they make their own ice cream and cones right on-site! You can really taste the difference in the freshness of the scoops and the crunch of the waffle cones. Customer Service: Even when it's packed inside with people ready to order, the staff is very quick and efficient. The customer service is great, which is impressive considering how busy they usually are. Parking: A huge plus for this location is the free street parking, making it an easy and accessible stop compared to other busy areas. Overall Experience: I managed to time my last visit earlier in the day to beat the line, but even when it's busy, the quality is top-tier. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! It's a local gem that truly deserves more hype.

We…read morestumbled upon this little gem completely by accident while visiting the Natural History Museum, and honestly? Best accidental discovery of my entire trip to Denver. This tiny, adorable hole-in-the-wall shop is everything you want in a neighborhood ice cream spot -- warm, welcoming, unpretentious, and run by two of the most genuinely lovely women I've ever encountered in the food service industry. From the moment our group of six walked in, we felt like we'd been coming here for years. They were patient, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about every single thing they make. Now let me talk about the ICE CREAM, because wow. Six people, multiple flavors between us, and not one single complaint -- which if you know my family, is basically a miracle. Everything was rich, creamy, and tasted completely homemade in the best possible way. But the thing that absolutely sent me over the edge? BANANA PUDDING. Multiple banana pudding options. I grew up in the South and I have been low-key grieving the lack of banana pudding culture everywhere else I've lived, and here it is -- in Denver, Colorado -- done absolutely right. I may have embarrassed myself slightly. No regrets. This is a Black woman-owned business and these two have built something truly special. It's family-friendly, it's joyful, and it has that rare quality of feeling like a place that was made with real love. If you're anywhere near the museum, you would be genuinely doing yourself a disservice to walk past this place. Go in. Get the banana pudding. Thank me later.
