If you have a sweet tooth this place is either heaven or hell. It's a candy shop and an ice cream shop rolled into one. It's decorated with candy, unique art work and pop culture themed posters. It even has a great little rest/eating area that's decorated with art you can purchase. The staff are all younger teen types that bring a fun energy to the shop. I bought some chewy sweet tarts that remind me of my childhood. Plus, I ordered a chocolate malt in the ice cream area that just might be the best malt I've ever had. She asked me if I wanted extra malt and I said yes. It was phenomenal and reminded me of the higher quality products of yester year. I really enjoyed my visit to this store and hope to swing in again sometime soon. I highly recommend this shop. I bet you'll love it like I did.

On our way to Boulder on Monday, June 24, 2024, we wanted to meet up with Cathy and Chris, so that we could meet their dog, Maki. Cathy suggested that we go to Scrumptious and Alyssa immediately thought that the idea was great since she had been wanting to check the place out. After finding free street parking in walking distance to the shoppe, we arrived shortly after 3 PM to a fairly quiet store. An old-timey candy shoppe/ice cream parlour that sells sweet treats, specialty bottled sodas, and a wide selection of homemade ice cream of classic and unique flavours, Scrumptious is a sweet tooth's heaven. On the day of our visit, the venue was clean, tidy, and perfectly air conditioned....Maki was welcome to sit inside at our table with us. Insert happy face emoji here - I SUPER love dog-friendly places. I had a complimentary taste of their Tropical Koolaid Sorbet, but passed on ordering a full scoop [only because I didn't want to spoil my appetite for our tea time]. Cathy had coffee ice cream, Chris went for the GIANT ICE CREAM SANDO (looked pretty standard in size to me), and Alyssa ordered a cup of Hershey Waffle cone ice cream, all of which were served with a friendly smile. As the three enjoyed their frozen treats, Mom and I got a kick out of going through the aisles of nostalgic candies. There were a lot of new, cool candies, too. Mom ended up purchasing a few candies as well as a souvenir Scrumptious zip-up hoodie. Scrumptious is mos def one of the sweetest places in the Denver area.

Yum yum yum! Inside is really cute too. A lot of candy that you don't see everywhere. Ice cream is homemade. They let you sample a couple flavors. We got brown sugar, banana fosters and raspberry cheesecake. Way good.

Awesome, old fashioned candy shop and ice cream parlor in old town Arvada. They have a huge variety of old school candies, as well as, all of the modern favorites. It's a super unique space and lots of fun to browse.

What a fun place! And who doesn't like a candy store that sells homemade ice cream? After meeting friends for lunch we decided to walk around Old Town Arvada and listen to some live music. We wandered into Scrumptious and we're met with more kinds of candy than I'd seen in one place in a very long time. BTW - I didn't know they even still made bubblegum cigarettes- but there they were. I loved the self serve Jelly Belly area and the self serve powdered candy area. They had some seating by the window so you could enjoy people warching with your ice cream. The staff was friendly and efficient and I was proud of myself for only buying 4 bars of Halvah.

Did not purchase anything here but based on the ambience it reminded me of my childhood. Very quirky, fun and nostalgic items are found in this store.

They don't make candy shops like this anymore! Super cute local place in Olde Town Arvada. I came here with my friend after parking several blocks away, insisting that we browse all the available candy before getting in line for ice cream. Got mint chocolate chip in a small cup as always. It was sooo tasty and really hit the spot. There's some seating inside, or you can walk around Olde Town if it's a nice day outside!

Some of the BEST ice cream I've had! We ordered a vanilla malt and coconut ice cream scoops. I ordered a kids size and it was still such a huge scoop! Coconut was AMAZING. I recommend it to all! They also have a ton of candy inside. Lots of fun and unique kinds that are difficult to find these days!! It was busy with a long line. But it goes rather quick and is totally worth it!

Delicious ice cream, fun candy shop, and cute location. Located in Old Town Arvada - there are tons of fun little stores and eateries surrounding this special ice cream spot. Keep in mind the parking is limited so you may have to walk. The ice cream is super delicious and the servings are generous. It is homemade but not the runny type of homemade. My eating companions and I enjoyed: cones and cups of mint chocolate chip, sweet cream, orange creamsicle, chocolate, cotton candy, mystery, praline and cream. The store is very well stocked with candy and novelty items. I am confident if you are looking for a unique gift, you can find it here. I purchased a Batman print made by a local artisan. There's not tons of seating inside, but when the weather warms up they do have seating outside where a person could relax with a bit more room. I highly recommend!

This place is awesome! I've had a sweet tooth & came across this spot. The reviews don't lie. There's a ginormous section of old school candies. Anything you could want! And the ice cream is so good!

Cute little candy/ ice cream store. All sorts of candy available even some nostalgic ones from long ago! Ice cream creamy, assorted flavors and served in different ways. Waffle cone, sugar cone, cup etc. Ice cream was a perfect way to cool off on this very hot day! Definitely would recommend trying this place. Not only for the delicious ice cream products but all this candy and nostalgia! Literally like a kid in a candy store!

Not sure if this should be a solid four stars for a western atmosphere or a three stars for making me think of all the boys I was around in high school, yet it's in a nice area to wander during the day (and sometimes night) so we're going to give them the benefit of the doubt. The staff are pretty good with the customers and even tho is can get crowded by school kids sometimes, it worth a visit if you're thinking Arvada is a good stop in your destination list. Their candy supply is pretty varied, and it's a lot like a rocket fizz with icecream to vouch for instead of zany soda pop. Great stop if you're a Harry Potter fan!

This is probably the biggest and best local candy shop I've seen! They have a variety of chocolate candy, gummy candy, and ice cream that's made in-house. I stopped in here for dessert after a delicious dinner in olde town. They had a variety of unique ice cream flavors. I tried pink cashew and chocolate orange. Both were so good! I didn't see any dairy-free or vegan ice cream flavors on my trip. They carry lots of different candy! This would be a great place to find old-fashioned candy and unique candies for gifts. When I came they had a huge Reese's chocolate display which spoke to my heart. There is also a big gummy pick and mix area and a Jelly Belly display. I saw many different candies that you don't normally see at the checkout counter in grocery stores. I'll be back next time I have a craving for something sweet!

They offer free tours, which involves watching a short clip about the history of Hammond and then watching the employees work through a looking glass. It was neat learning about this candy business; I've never heard about it. I love learning origin stories because it gives me an idea of the company's values. I think it's amazing that they HAND MAKE all their candies. They have cute paper hats that you can wear. In addition, there are some areas for good photo opportunities. After the tour, you are gifted with a candy cane! You are then led into their candy store. You obviously don't have to purchase anything, but to complete the experience, it doesn't hurt to walk away with some chocolate. (: I'm not from Colorado, so I'm not sure if the prices were cheaper or more expensive than the grocery store (I'm going to assume more expensive). Regardless, we did buy some things. I got a Hammond chocolate bar, some discounted chocolate from their clearance section, and their popular Mitchell Sweets. The Mitchell sweet is $2 for a small packet! My husband liked it, but I thought it was extremely sweet and I only took the tiniest bite. I feel like that little packet can go a long way because of the sweetness. They charge $0.10 for a bag. I didn't want to pay for a bag, so I just used my paper hat as a tray. lol Overall, I did enjoy the visit. I like that it was free and candy cane gift at the end was the sweet cherry on top of the tour.

You get a sample of candy at the end of the tour, too (Todays free candy was some taffy). The tour shows you a video of their history, and then you get to walk out and see how they make candy live on the production floor. Pretty neat to see. After the tour is over, you wind up in their gift shop. They have a ton of options for candy. It sure isn't cheap though. Candy bars were $5.00, candy canes $3.00 and up. You definitely pay for the quality. It is very good candy. I recommend looking at their "oops" shelves. They are the same great candy, just not visually "perfect" to sell, and they are at a great discount. We got some caramel, some lemon drops etc from this section. Would definitely come back if I lived in Denver. Great way to spend an hour or so.
