Went three times during our two week trip and tried new flavors each time. Love that you can sample before you commit. Kids loved walking around the charming shop and looking at all the candy as well. Charming location with plenty of outdoor seating. Really enjoyed the live music on the street outside. read more

I'm often wary of candy stores that have giant bins of candy for the picking because you don't know how long they've been out there. I was desperate for candy though so I got a little paper bag and started picking things out. Unfortunately the taffy I got was very hard and the individually wrapped bite size air heads also tasted stale and the date on them was 2007. The full size bars I picked out seemed much more fresh so that hit the spot. Staff was super friendly, store was fun to shop around, and they have some awesome artwork in one of their rooms. I would try the ice cream if I'm in Arvada again. A lot of the positive reviews seem to be about that and I didn't get to try the ice cream when I was there. I wouldn't buy the candy again though. read more

I was actually really impressed with how nice the service and ice cream was! As a preggo, I get picky with my food and sometimes crave weird stuff. I wanted something chocolatey and crunchy and got exactly what I wanted! We forgot our masks at home and they were kind enough to come outside and let us order instead of going inside. Great service. Was here with Hubs while running an event just outside this store sometime back on Saturday September 15th 2012. Man, this candy/ice cream eatery is packed to the MAX with other patrons alike. There are about 8 to 10 flavors of ice cream that afternoon to choose. Hmm.. Decisions, decisions, decisions... I opt for Blackberry and Tang Sorbet ($5). All in all its A-OKAY, not too sweet for my personal tastebud. Might return when needed if we are in this neighborhood. The ice cream was so good! We tasted sour cherry, coffee, German chocolate cake, and strawberry. They all were so creamy and delicious. And the serving sizes are huge! The kid's cup was the perfect size! They also serve as a candy store and it was so cute! My daughter was living looking at all the candy and we picked up some old school candy and my daughter picked out some jelly beans. read more

The coffee ice cream was OK, could barely taste the coffee flavor though. The Smurf guts ice cream was pretty good, not quite sure what the flavor was and I was too scared to ask, which brings me to my next point. There were 3 employees when we went in this past Saturday night. One of the girls working was sweet and polite while the other girl and guy working had such an attitude for no reason and were annoyed whenever anyone placed an order. We got a kids chocolate personally it seemed like a frozen hot chocolate kind of basic chocolate taste imo. Tried a sample of the lemoncello very nice would get that next time and skip the chocolate. Overpriced? No. Did any of you complaining about the price actually purchase ice cream? I got a kid's cup, and I swear it was the same amount of ice cream as a medium size at any other ice cream shop. Bang for your buck, people! My husband had the pumpkin cheesecake and coffee chunk, and I had the cookies and cream. My husband said he died and went to heaven. I thought it was pretty good too. His pumpkin cheesecake really was amazing. They are definitely worth a try, and if anyone can break the curse of that location, it's them. You guys need to have your employees updated on the Covid-19 regulations. My husband and I came, with masks on. A family of three came in just after us, masks off. As I was getting ready to place my order, the behind the counter started giving the family a really hard time telling them it's the law that they had to wear masks. I'm FOH manager in a restaurant. It's not "the law". It's a recommendation for guests. Your guy was really inappropriate in how he handled the situation. It made me so mad that I walked out and so did my husband. I was traveling through Denver and I thought to myself "you deserve an ice cream cone after driving 12 hours." So that is exactly what I did. After doing some serious research online, I picked this establishment! And it did not disappoint. I'm going to let you in on a secret--I eat a lot of ice cream. First- I had two scoops. One was peanut butter Oreo. There was enough of each ingredient where in essentially every bite I was satisfied. The other flavor was toasted coconut with white chocolate chips. I am not usually a white chocolate fan as it is not chocolate. But man! Something about it had me hooked! The inside of the store is super cute! In the adorable town of Arvada, there are so many ice cream places to choose from. How do you know where to go? YELP, obviously! And this one is rated the best. We walked in--well, attempted to walk in. The line was out the door. They were set to close at 10ish. But luckily, we made it in time. You can try flavors as you please. I won't lie though, it feels a bit intimidating given the line being so long and the employees working really fast. You feel slightly rushed to make a decision. Or at least we did. We landed ourselves with the salted oreo and coconut cream pie. Both were delicious. They were a bit heavy, but my wife and I shared a small and it was plenty for us. read more

What a treat! My parents and sister and I were walking around Olde (note 'e') Town Arvada and happened to walk by this place amongst all the breweries. What fun! We walked in and could smell absolute sweetness. As a sweet-lover, I was overwhelmed with the candy selectiion on the right side of the room and the ice cream straight ahead. I frequent a lot of ice cream shops in Los Angeles (my home) and was impressed with Scrumptious' selection. They had a honey flavor ice cream, which I've never seen before. So I picked it. Stopped by here for an ice cream cone before a show at the Twelve Volt. What an awesome find! The ice cream is delicious, and they have a really cool selection of old candy too. Some things that I haven't seen in years. There's a little seating area inside that has some pretty awesome artwork for sale as well. It's a huge candy store with Avarda made ice cream so it's going to be a little noisy. It's a 60f day today and we came about 2pm, not too busy which was great. The ice cream is nice, there's more than what you see in the display cabinet so be sure to look at the board behind the register where all the flavours are. I had maple walnut and he had cookies and cream. Small scoop each. The small is quite generous but they only do 1 flavour if you're getting a small. The scoop is so big I would have been better if you could do 2 flavours. You would have had plenty of each. When I found an Australian violet crumble bar in the shop I was so excited that I was going to buy a few till I saw that they were $6 each!! Crikey!! read more
