I've been meaning to have my trash and recycle cans cleaned for quite some time. They're pretty funky because I recycle everything. I did an online request and they were able to come out the same week. I watched on my ring cameras and the whole process was pretty cool. They come out and sanitized and clean the cans right there and the guy even brought the cans back up and put them by my house so the HOA didn't freak out. So nice! They look and smell brand new. I am amazed at the job (1 time job) Happy Cans did on our black trash can a week ago on August 2nd. Very clean and no smell. I was not sure if either was possible since A) pressure washing it a couple years ago didn't get the black one completely clean and B) we also throw bags of dog poop in there which are not always 100% tied. They did our blue recycle one too, which was cleaned perfectly btw, but our recycle can just doesn't get anywhere near as dirty. Plus, we only moved in to our new home in 2018 and, more especially, I cleaned it pretty good a couple years ago with our 2700 psi gas pressure washer hooked up to our hot water heater. Obviously, I cleaned the black one too, but it is a little unique. Someone traded us their obviously much dirtier, smellier and older one for our newer one in 2020. (Really?) I did my best to clean that can using the pressure washer with a 15 degree nozzle and hot water after letting the bottom sit overnight in 4-5" of water with some degreaser, including Dawn liquid and bleach (not recommended due to potentially toxic gases). I also used a couple of different heavy brushes and some heavy duty nylon pads. I got it 95% clean, but a few small areas had some stuff which apparently became one with the trash can. I also can't speak on the affect it had on the "nasty" smell since there was still a slight smell of bleach and degreaser when I finished. Anyway, the point of all this is that when Happy Cans cleaned my black (and blue) can, it looked just as clean as I had gotten it a few years ago and it didn't smell. I found that very impressive. I won't be cleaning garbage cans again myself. It's not worth it. I will be calling them. read more

Super fast and easy to schedule and finally have trash cans so fresh and clean!!! We will be using them again

We've used Happy Cans since its inception and are very happy with their service. We keep our trash and recycle cans in the garage so we don't have to walk around the house to empty daily trash, so it's important to us to have clean cans. They clean and deodorize them and even roll them up the driveway when done so we can just slip them back into the garage. They send a reminder the week before so we can remember not to put things in the recycle bin until the next Tuesday, and also the day before so we remember to out the cans out. They've never missed an appointment and are happy to reschedule if asked within a reasonable time. All that plus the owner is super nice! We highly recommend Happy Cans - give them a try! read more

Happy Cans cleaned my bins since Covid and never had any issues. I used to refer them to all of neighbors. Over the last few months they have become unresponsive after reaching out a number of times. My cans are NOT very HAPPY. My two cans were looking forward to their bath and waited patiently by the curb in front of their home at 7am this morning. The appointment was scheduled and confirmed. The sad cans waited and waited until 5pm this afternoon. The happy cans people never showed. The happy cans people never called or texted that that would not show up. The two cans were stood up by the happy cans people. This company is not a business that wants your business. Stay away. The service was horrible. None of the 3 trash cans were cleaned properly. I would say too pricy cause I got a msg they are arriving in 10 minutes n then within 2 minutes another msg saying this is ur invoice! I'm being charged $37.97 for a two minute job! My cans didn't even smell nice as some of the reviews mentioned. Response time is also not 4 hours like how they claim it to be. This was my main reason of me asking them to come at a time when I'm home so I could check the cans n if not done properly I could ask them to do it again. I was told they would come after 12pm for sure but they came around 11am. I was only a few minutes away from home. When I got home they had left. Contacting happy cans is hard. I just had my outside cans cleaned by happy cans... there are so many things that would make me do this over & over again. I called & not only did I not have to wait, they were so fast & left them acually spotless. I reccommend them for everyone. They schedula for as often as you would like, pricing is terrific . I do yard work, have young kids (diapers), a cat (lots of dirty litter), and a family of four. We have a lot of trash and with some of those combinations sitting in the sun for up to a week the trash can had gotten pretty nasty. We keep it outside but still, when you have to open it you'll get your whiff. The recycle can was not that bad - maybe some spilled drinks since recycle is not bagged. I signed up for the initial deal using 35NEW and got both cans cleaned for $35. Other services seemed to require some sort of multi-visit deal, which ended up being more. I am not sure if I wanted some sort of time-based cleaning service so this was good for me to just do it one time and see how it goes. I wasnt home but service was quick in looking at my cameras. Pulled up. Cleaned. and then put the cans back at the side of my house (not on the curb where the HOA would undoubtedly get angry). The only part that kind of sucked was that to get the recycle washed I had to empty the recycle can and place in a bag - as they clean the cans after whatever day is your trash day. Not a big deal - but if you dont want to have both cans empty at the time of your service and to "hold" trash outside your can, then this may be a problem for you. You could just do one can (same price as two cans, no discount, I guess). For payment you can pay by CC or Venmo. I opted for Venmo so my wife would have to pay out of her "slush fund" instead of buying some crap we don't need. Bwahahaha! read more

What a great service!!! My cans were NASTY but one thing I can't talk myself into doing is scrubbing down my trash cans. My husband would give them the occasional rinse, but it's just not the same. I received a flyer on my trash can and thought....what a great idea. You schedule a service for the day after trash pick up, leave your cans out, and a magical trash fairy comes during the day and cleans the cans spotless....it's great lol. I saw from upstairs we had a yellow "notice" on our trash can. I thought it was something from the City. When we checked it out, it was a flyer for trash can cleaning services. I went online to check them out and saw they were a new local company and I really appreciated the owner taking the time to share his story on his website. We moved into our house back in March and the last people didn't take the best care of things here. We have been wanting to get our cans cleaned, but just haven't taken the time to do research. Getting this flyer, seeing the fair prices, the plans offered, I knew it was diving timing. I reached out yesterday, received a prompt response, had us on the schedule for the day since it happened to be trash day. He arrived, had the cans cleaned in no time and NO JOKE, they LEGIT look nearly brand new. SO clean. SO fresh. Got rid of that old grime. I know it's just a trash can, but we take care of our stuff. Everything is bagged. Nothing "dirty" is tossed in there per say. No liquid is tossed in there. So being able to have it clean, especially sitting every day in the hot sun is a good feeling. And as advertised, they pulled our cans to the back gate when finished. I thought that was a SUPER nice touch. All I had to do was open the gate and store them again. They offer multiple ways to pay and just made it SUPER easy and stress free. The owner is very friendly and provide multiple avenues to reach him if you have questions.
