Simple Shine later said they had canceled the booking because they had no cleaners available in North Phoenix, but I did not receive or locate the cancellation email or text they claimed to have sent. I took PTO, prepared my studio, and waited for a cleaner who was never coming. Their phone went to voicemail. When I asked for proof of the cancellation notice, they provided an internal cancellation record and an unrelated older SMS record, but no evidence showing that a July cancellation email or text was actually sent or delivered. Their response focused on the fact that I was not charged, while ignoring the wasted PTO, preparation, and waiting time caused by their communication failure. I would not book with this company again.

Prior to scheduling the appointment my wife went over exactly what was needed including a recently remodeled bathroom. Due to the recent remodel it was suggested that we do a "Deep Clean" verses a standard cleaning. We agreed to the service and the price, which included the kitchen, dining room, living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an office. The manager, or at least I think that is his title, said just make sure they have access to the areas and let them do their job and clean. That is exactly what we did. To the point my wife and I sat in my office so we were out of the way. After about 5 hours the cleaners had completed the kitchen, dining room, and living room, they took a short break for lunch, and returned to continue on the rest of the house or so we thought. After returning, the cleaners started on the master bedroom and bathroom. It was at this point we ran into the end of the day when Greg text my wife said the cleaners were leaving and would be back the next day to finish the job due to it taking so long. The excuse that was given was it was because of the remodeled bathroom, which was referred to as "post construction." Doing a tile floor and replacing the caulking in a tub is not construction. As a matter of fact it should have saved them time, because they didn't need to clean the floor or wipe down the floor panels, which was included in the service, since they were brand new. Greg stated this was never discussed and we would have to pay additional money to have the rest of the house finished. He said we told them the house only had " a little dust" which were in fact his words about my office, and had nothing to do with the master bed and bath. As far as I'm concerned this was a bait and switch. We even went to the lengths of going over the initial call, which was recorded by them, and confirmed that everything WAS in fact discussed. Still, we were told we would have to pay more. Keep in mind they didn't even complete 50% of the work promised. The master bedroom was not complete, they didn't finish cleaning the master bathroom, they didn't touch the second bathroom, either of other other two bedrooms, or my office. So they did less than half of what was promised, charged us FULL price, and tried to charge us additional funds outside of what we agreed on. They have made no attempt to make this right, or even take any responsibility. My wife and I had to clean the rest of the house ourselves. Also, I have security camera footage which can confirm all time frames stated above. They company knew exactly what they were suppose to clean here and just simply didn't do it. We had to foot the bill for the lack of time management on the part of their staff. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

My roommate and I hired GGH for a move-out cleaning service. Our house is about 1000 sq ft, and there was no dirtiness outside of normal living wear and tear. We just wanted a professional service to clean all the nooks and crannies of things that we did not want to deal with and to avoid the rental company cleaning fee. We had already moved out so we had GGH come to clean the house during the day while we were at work and gave them the garage code to enter. We did not receive much communication during, however we did receive an additional $250 bill when the cleaning was complete. This brought our total to $500... an outrageous number for a 2 bedroom small home with no carpet or furniture. I immediately called Julia, the woman who answers the phone for GGH, and she explained to me that they charge by the hour. This was already a red flag as we were never told that, otherwise we would have made sure we were home for the cleaning because now there is no accountability for how long they were there or what they did with all that time. She also told me it took 2 people 4.5 hours to clean our home, therefore, our service was $500. I was shocked, but I am not one to argue with service workers and had not seen the house yet so I accepted it and thanked her for clarifying. I decided to check out the house and make sure we got our money worth for the cleaning. I wish I was exaggerating when I tell you the house was untouched. See the attached pictures for reference, and if you want a real laugh check out the checklist they left on our countertop of all the things they completed.... We called Julia back and the only thing we were obligatory offered was for them to come back and re-clean it. We declined because our lease ends tomorrow, not to mention the fact that they didn't even do the most basic cleaning like wipe the counters or vacuum so they had lost our trust. For $500, I should be able to perform open heart surgery on the kitchen counter with how sterile the house should be. I would also like to mention Julia told my roommate there were 3 cleaners and it took 3 hours which is why we were being charged the additional $250, so the stories are not aligning as she told me 2 people for 4.5 hours. Furthermore, she told me we were quoted $400-$500 for the service which is an outright lie but unfortunately our consultation was over the phone and our receipt for the $250 deposit does not disclose the quote so we have no proof. Pretty sly of them. We provided the pictures yet they still refused to give us a refund and only said they would reclean, which we kept explaining that was not an option as the keys to the house would be returned tomorrow morning. The most inconvenient part of this all was scrambling the last night of our lease to go buy cleaning supplies and spend 4 hours after a long shift at the hospital deep cleaning the floor boards, appliances, fans, blinds, etc. At this point, I wish we would have just eaten the cleaning fee with our rental company, it would have been far less than $500 and less stress. I believe this company thought since we were moved out that we would not go back to check their work and figured they could scam us out of additional money without proof.
