Amazing burgers and hand cut fries! Little place in Sapulpa. I tried this place a couple of weeks ago after dropping of my son and his friend at paint ball. Friendly staff and wearing masks. It was to go orders only. I ordered their double cheeseburger the way it comes. It was delicious. I would have been fine with a single patty but the reviews recommended getting two so I did...it didn't disappoint! Highly recommend checking this place out. Locally owned and operated.

Did you know this is the longest continuously operating hamburger stand on route 66? Great burgers but also known for their steak sandwiches. This is a "must eat" stop if you're traveling Route 66.

.Day 4 of the 'jus passin' thru' trip from LA to Ohio. Just outside of Tulsa and I'm dying for a burger, because I haven't eaten nearly enough crap this trip. Hubs gets right on it and he comes up with Happy Burger in the little town of Sapulpa OK on RT 66, between OKC and Tulsa. Ok. I can't even with this place. I. Can't. Even. I'll get right to it. I ordered the jumbo burger with an extra patty. The meat is paper thin and full fat so go for two or more patties. You'll thank me. Got it with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mustard and grilled onions. Do Yourselves a favor and leave off the lettuce and tomato. They just get in the way. Fries hand cut weren't necessary but go 'head if it floats your boat. Hubs got the 3 patty jumbo with cheese bacon and chili. (Yes he's still Alive). They served it to him in a boat with knife and fork. At the suggestion of another reviewer he got the butterscotch shake. Amazing and they gave me the dregs out of the steel malt dooflingy which I appreciated--about a cup, which was enough. Literally one of the best burgers I've ever had. Nostalgic, like what I used to get regularly as a kid. Don't pass this place up. It's worth the detour.

Food is great! Got a double cheese burger and the chicken basket. Only complaint would be the wait we had in drive-through.

Eaten here a handful of times. Good burgers and good fried mushrooms as well. The price isn't too bad for the food you get. Would recommend

Best Burger I have ever had. The old fashioned burger joint is authentic and the food matches it. I will be back

We came in for lunch as a group of six, traveling through town, where we could sit at two booths, or at the soda bar across from the grill. The server met us with menus we could use inside or outside on a being developed patio. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and burgers from the menu, not knowing what to expect. One thing I was sure about was that if this diner didn't have something special, it would have never survived as long as it has. The appetizers- (pictured) corn ribs & fried mushrooms were good and served to order. The hamburgers and fries were fresh, warm, and well-prepared. The price was a little more than expected but the hamburgers they delivered were more than what was expected as well and I would order the same again.

First, the food is great. They focus on Oklahoma-sourced ingredients. The owner is a trained chef,…read moreso you can get better-than-average burgers and a rotating seasonal menu. I prefer the beer-battered chicken tender basket. The chicken tenders are huge. My only food complaint is the fries. They are a little heavy handed on the seasonings. The restaurant is small, with four booths and a bar counter with seating. It's very cozy and clean. Our server was very rude, unfortunately, the last time we came in. The other owner thankfully handled it with grace, and we will continue to frequent Anchor 66 due to her response.

We met friends in Sapulpa which is on the opposite side of Tulsa from us so we rarely make it over…read morethere. Decided to ask the former fire chief for a recommendation and he said try Crossroads Cookery. Our friends wanted to go antiquing so this was right in the heart of Sapulpa's antique area, so perfect place for lunch. I really enjoyed all the care they took with making it feel nostalgic but classy at the same time. It's a lovely restaurant but they also have an ice cream parlor area, bar and coffee bar. Now the food was ok for some of us and one in our party got a way overcooked burger that was dry so it sucked for her. My Santa Fe bowl was so good and I recommend it. Hubby got the string onions for the table to share and they were delicious. Our server was really interesting and friendly as well as took care of us. We'll definitely go back during the Christmas Chute!

You know when you kind of love a place so much you almost don't want the whole world to find out…read moreabout it? That was this place for me. I had noticed it before when visiting the Christmas Chute, but the reviews were a little mixed so we never gave it a try. Fast forward to this weekend when we got invited to a birthday at the speakeasy upstairs... and I'm so glad we finally went. First of all -- they're doing a great job with the speakeasy concept because I genuinely had no idea it was there. It's upstairs above the restaurant and you need a code word to get in. Since we were already there, we decided to have dinner first and the menu honestly surprised me in the best way. It's very much Southern comfort food, but elevated a bit. The vibe inside is eclectic and interesting. The staff was super friendly, and even on a Saturday night it wasn't overly busy. The new streets in Sapulpa look great now that the construction is finished, but because most of the parking is behind the buildings the street can look like a ghost town even when places are actually busy. Kind of a weird illusion. They start you off with bread and a trio of fresh butters which was unexpected and delicious. The bread itself wasn't anything fancy, but the butter definitely was. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered from the kids menu (which I very much appreciated did not say "12 and under"). I got a grilled cheese and the waitress suggested adding a cup of tomato bisque. Yes please. Both were excellent. My husband ordered the grilled chicken and said it was moist and really good. They also have a full bar and a huge coffee bar, which I thought was a fun touch. Then we headed upstairs to the speakeasy and it's a whole different vibe up there. Very cool space. Also extremely eclectic. Think Tommy Bahama meets world traveler's curio cabinet. There were travel finds from around the world displayed in cases, parrot chandeliers, a baby grand piano, and a cheetah print pool table. It somehow all works. Live music was by Steve Lindell and he was fantastic. Two thumbs up. Bar service was great, just a little slow -- but to be fair I don't think they were expecting a 40-person birthday group to roll in all at once. All in all it was a fantastic night. If it wasn't about 45 minutes from my house, we would probably be regulars. But maybe it's okay if it stays just a little bit of a hidden gem.
