The garlic knots were off-putting and seemed to be fried rather than baked. We actually overheard a server telling the table behind us that they were fried, which explained the texture. The Caprese antipasto was also disappointing, with barely any balsamic vinegar. But the biggest issue was the pizza. After waiting more than 70 minutes for it to arrive, the Supreme Combo was still undercooked in the middle. Waiting that long for a pizza is frustrating enough, but after that kind of wait, you at least expect it to come out properly cooked. Between the garlic knots, the underwhelming antipasto, and the undercooked pizza, there really wasn't anything about the meal that stood out in a positive way. We called in an hour to see if it was ready and they said they had tried calling to let us know it was ready, however we hadn't received a phone call, but we were just happy it was ready so we went to pick it up. You pick up the pizza at the pizza counter and pay for it at the front of the store. Things went smoothly and we were soon on our way. Once we arrived home, we opened the pizza only to realize they had given us the wrong thing. Instead of sausage and jalapenos, it was pepperoni and jalapenos and the cheese looked a little burnt, but as we were hungry, we just decided to keep it and eat it anyway. It ended up tasting really good. There is something about Simple Simon's pizza sauce that is just a little different, maybe a hint of cinnamon? But it was very good and worth the wait!
