Since then, I've visited a few times and have ordered a few different types of pupusas, all of which have been absolutely delicious. Each pupusa is freshly prepared and served with curtido (pickled cabbage slaw). Each pupusa is a pretty large size - I order two each time, and 1 1/2 in, I'm usually pretty full. Pupuseria Del Valle operates out of a food truck in Common Fields. Unlike some of the other food trucks there, you order directly at the food truck's window. After ordering, you receive a restaurant pager, so you can sit down and wait for your food. The wait time is usually between 10-15 minutes. I'd never gotten a chance to try a pupusa (only gorditas, which are somewhat similar) before eating them here. I'm so glad I tried them for the first time at Pupuseria Del Valle, because they are now one of my favorite foods!

I tried their bean and cheese, cheese, and pork papusas with curtido on a warm Saturday morning. While I'd ordered only two, one of the choices was accidentally given with my order. They brought out the correct one for free, so I ended up with three. The bean and cheese and cheese were my favorites. While I'm used to green curtido, the purple tasted as delicious! It had just the right amount of tang. The food was quite filling and I had to take a box to go. By the way, this is a food card with a secure location in a small food truck area located south of downtown, within walking distance of many shops. The two staff working were kind but there was some mild confusion when I placed the order, which was compensated for by them promptly making a correction to the order.

The Menudo is seasonal - although the person taking my order recommended the tacos, they did mention that the Menudo was pretty good for the super cold weather. Opted for it and was not disappointed. The bowl was chock full of tripe and other meats and was also served with corn tortillas and a plate full of extra garnishes and seasonings (e.g. onions, cilantro, pepper, etc.). Super delicious and it fully warmed me up!

I wish I ordered more food so that I could have tried more of them. The habanero salsa will rip your face off. The tomatillo salsa was amazing. There was a chipotle one. All so very good. I wasn't as impressed with the tacos themselves. They got the job done and I would definitely come back for some of the soups (menudo, pozole) or a larger item like a burrito or torta. All in all, a great spot in Albany for real Mexican food.

I pulled in around 1:00 AM and was greeted with exactly what you hope to find at that hour, hot Mexican food that absolutely hit the spot. I ordered the chicken taquitos and a carne asada burrito, and both delivered. The taquitos were crispy and packed with flavor, while the burrito was big, hearty, and loaded with perfectly seasoned carne asada. The kind of meal that fixes hunger fast and leaves you happy you stopped. Another big win here is the price point. The portions are generous and the pricing is very reasonable, which makes it even better when you're grabbing food late at night. There's indoor seating available, but this is also a great quick stop if you're grabbing food to go.
