I just had my first burrito from Burrito Heaven and am SO SAD. I ordered a tofu burrito, it was very VERY plain tofu stuffed in refried beans.. I asked for pinto... and rice. nothing else, so plain. I asked and PAYED for sour cream and didn't find any. super sad. I love burritos and not sure I'll go back. Should be called Taco Heaven. They have these thick chewy fresh homemade corn tortillas I could eat everyday. The spicy pork, carnitas, carne asada, and shrimp are all good. This place is amazing! It's down the street from my house... The staff is super friendly. Manny, the boy at the counter is super sweet and nice. This restaurant is family owned. I haven't had really good Mexican food till I came by this place. I've tried the soft chicken tacos and a bean rice and cheese burrito. I think they have 3 sizes of burritos (medium, large, and extra large). I definitely cannot handle more than a medium. It's plenty for me. I usually get either a burrito or two tacos. I spray the red sauce on everything. Gives the food a nice kick! They accept credit and debit, but charge 50c for under $5. No biggie... :) I try not to come here too often but I can't help it. We recently moved to Corvallis and my husband came out for a few days to settle paperwork two months before we moved. Somehow he heard hype about Burrito Heaven and tried to go there but thought it was closed. Cue three months later and we decide to try it. Bad sign #1, he thought it was closed again, but on closer inspection, it was open with one lone diner and one lone employee. Bad sign #2, we two burritos to go, which we got almost immediately. Despite arriving home about five minutes later, they were lukewarm at best. I had the bean and three queso burrito and the first bite confirmed that the reviews about too much saltiness were valid. Bad sign #3... the cheese was NOT MELTED. This burrito was literally watered down, over-salted refried beans with cold cheese lumps in it! They couldn't even bother to heat the damned thing up to melt the cheese. I ate half of it and was questioning my life choices when my husband put down the remaining half of his steak asada burrito and declared he was throwing the remainder away. I enthusiastically joined him in dumping my own. We couldn't stomach anything else that day and have had some epic bathroom experiences today. Perhaps if we had eaten there, the woman might have at least heated it up if only to prevent us from demanding an immediate refund. The food is absolutely delicious. My buddies and I all got the fajita burrito. Mine had all the fixings and everything went together quite well. The burrito includes sour cream and guacamole at no extra charge which is a welcome change from most establishments. The staff is also SUPER nice. The younger dude working the register who I'm assuming is the owners son was super friendly. He answered our questions about the menu and gave item suggestions based on things we said we've had and liked. The food arrived pretty quickly. Nothing unusual which was great. The only criticism I have is with the decor. First impressions are pretty gnarly. If I hadn't read the reviews on here before going I probably would have been worried about food poisoning. Not a heavenly burrito, or experience. First time I came in was close to closing time. I was pretty confused as where to place my order, as two tables by the register were littered with what looked to be business paper work. I felt like I was intruding in their office space. Plus, the odor! Strong, putrid, like the fridge hadn't been cleaned out in years and was thus building up mold. Only isolated around the register area. Once you moved away, it was fine. The fajita burrito was OK. The veggies had that wonderful smoked flavor of being done over a grill. But that's where it ends. The rice was dry, and it lacked any real flavor beyond the fajita vegetables. I tried it a second time thinking it was a fluke, so close to closing that the rice was bad. Nope! Still super dry rice. I think I'll detour up to Chipotle til I find a decent burrito place, as this is not it. read more

Prices have gone up and now they were going to charge for cheese when all the tacos were going to be just meat and cheese. Burrito Heaven is one of my new favorite spots in Corvallis. The food is amazing, the hot sauce is actually hot, and it's the most authentic Mexican food in Corvallis. It's also family owned and really reasonably priced. If you're wanting some Mexican food and a beer, you can order at Burrito Heaven and then take it next door to Beer 30 and eat it there. I have ordered really large orders from Burrito Heaven for meetings and gatherings and they are always super accommodating. I call it in earlier in the day, tell them what time I need to pick it up, and it's always ready on time. My friends always love the food and are always really surprised that it came from "that little burrito place in south town?!" Seriously people, give it a try! I do wish that they were open later. It's a family owned business and could be easily missed when driving down 3rd street. The cashier was really nice and friendly. I got the XL fajita burrito, hoping it can be for 2 meals. Ordered two burritos to go. An xl steak and an xl chorizo. Both were pretty good. I can't say I would have picked them over a couple loco burritos from Rivas, but they were priced decently and it was within walking distance from where I was in southtown. Both my burritos came with about 5 tortilla chips, which seemed like not enough but maybe that's normal? The carne asada burrito lacked flavor and seemed to have a lot of filler compared to some other Mexican places I've eaten at. The good: Aside from those two minor complaints, most of the items that I've sampled from the menu were actually pretty decent in flavor, freshness, and quality. The chorizo burrito was tasty but a little dry. If you're a seafood fan, the Burrito Heaven and the cameron (shrimp) burritos are some of the best offerings on their menu and extremely good.
