They say presentation is everything. What attracted me to Hao Sheng is the beautiful dishes full of color. Their fried rice has lots of vegetables and even some scallions on top to make it more attractive and tasty. Yhe service was excellent. They got the order correct on the phone and when I arrived 15 minutes later it was ready and correct. The food had nice flavor too. I need to try some other dishes to really experience all they have to offer. Food was very solid. Walked in, orderd, paid, and out the door in about 10 mins. One negative, went at 2pm, lunch specials are supposed to be until 3pm but was told they dont do lunch specials on sunday (even though it doesnt say that on the menu). Sesame chicken was nice and crispy, perfect amount of sauce and very tasty. The rice was kinda bland though. Not the worst ive had, but not great. Fried wontons were extremely greasy. We've been taking out from Hao Sheng II for a few months. The food has been okay but we like their cold noodles with sesame sauce. We took out an order the other day and it seemed fine. There were leftovers and the next day, I felt like a snack. I felt something hard in my mouth, thankfully didn't bite down thinking maybe some kind of shell from a nut. To my horror, when I removed what was in my mouth, I found a piece of jagged glass. While you can tell they took over a pizza place at some point (still has those 70's booths), the walls are freshly painted, the signs are updated, there's a decent TV, and the menu is clear. In other words, it looks CLEAN. I mean, I get it. You're serving and catering to a crowd who want cheap food, fast. But, once a year clean yourself up, dude. Put some lipstick on that pig. Back to HSII, the food was as solid as Americanized Chinese takeout gets with a $6.50 price tag (including tax) on their lunch specials. Cheap fried rice and decent sesame chicken. Over salted wonton soup but still tasty. This is the only spot maybe open after 9:30/10 where we could get Chinese food. Even when I try to repeat it- because I KNOW they will mess it up , the lady gets all rude and says " I got it I know I know " but still manages to screw up the order. And when I take it back to get my correct order they don't even discard the food, I've seen them put it back in the kitchen in the pan again to give to someone else. Gross. And they get mad.
