I looked at the menu online and called to order for pick up. They were fast in making my food and by the time I got there it was already ready. I ordered 2 Tang Su Yuk & Ja Jang Meon combos. We ordered half jampong with half tan su yuk and don katsu. She bring out jajangmyeon with tan su yuk. I don't Want to waste the food so give it a try. Jajangmyeon was ok, need little more favor. Tan su yuk usually should be crispy but mine wasn't crispy at all despite it cover with flour and it wasn't hot either. Feel like it been sitting out for awhile. Don katsu was bad. It so dry and hard. I never have bad don katsu. The dipping sauce was so salty. Thanks good for the sauce of tan su yuk. We were able to finish it. When we enter there was only 1 table, it's a sign for us to leave but we try and huge disappointment. Service was not good. We have baby so every time we go to restaurants they always offer baby chair. The woman didn't offer us baby chair. We have to go get it ourselves. She did refill my husband water and give us extra tissue but that is it. Never check on us. We have to go up to her ask for a check. Since we didn't receive good service so didn't tip good. But the audacity of her walk up and ask for more make me don't want to come back. We tip base on service. No service no tip. Good service great tip. Don't think I would recommend to anyone. I want to give 6 stars to Hao Ru! It has greatly surpassed my expectations. The staff here are very friendly and professional. In NoVA one thing that always stops me from revisiting an Asian restaurant serving delicious food is their rude staff. But it is not the case for Hao Ru. In terms of food, pure delish! One of the best Jjamppong of my life. I want to drink the soup, or soak a bowl of rice inside if that's available. The noodles are chewy and Al Dente. The portion size of mandu is huge. It is interesting to pair it with the the khan poong sauce and surprisingly delicious! I like it when the chef put his/her creativity in the food. The tang su yook is a must-try. Every table ordered this dish. The batter is very light and crispy; the pork is tender with a hint of pepper. They've made it somehow like tempura (light, airy, and crispy). And I love such variation. Definitely an improvement from the tang su yook I used to have. The restaurant is very clean and spacious.
