I just didn't like it. Both my friend and I's drinks were not good at all. Boba is also distastefully hard.

We've been to almost all of them in SoCal being locals and we've agreed that this is the most disappointing location. CityWalk's Kitty Cafe's drinks are lazy, I'd say they're uninspired. I would only recommend the lemonade, as it was fresh and sweet. As for the other drinks, it was like adding shaved ice flavoring and dumping into it into a cup of ice water. Next, you sell it for a high price. The desserts are DRY! The only saving grace for the small cake we tried was the frosting. We disposed of the rest, such a shame! Our cashier was also quite confused and condescending. I did not like his vibe, it's not cute being a passive aggressive person. I seriously hope this location works out the kinks. I found the location had cute bistro tables, there's potential here. However, they need to fix their cafeteria-looking shopfront. Note: Character meet-n-greets are available on select days. Also, a Sanrio store can be found next door.

We walked into a space designed around soft colors, cute details, and Hello Kitty inspired decorations that make it feel more like stepping into a character themed world than a traditional café. The attention to detail throughout the space is what makes the experience stand out, especially if you enjoy taking photos or are a longtime Sanrio fan. The interior is playful and intentional, with every corner offering something visually engaging that fits the brand's aesthetic. The café offers a mix of desserts, pastries, and drinks that match the playful theme. The desserts are designed to be visually appealing with Hello Kitty inspired touches, from decorated cookies and macarons to cakes and specialty treats. The madeleines are a simple but enjoyable option, with a light texture that makes them easy to snack on while taking in the surroundings. The apple pie is another highlight, offering a nice balance of sweetness and texture without feeling overly heavy, a good choice if you want something that feels like a proper dessert rather than just a novelty item. The drink menu also fits the theme well, with options like strawberry based lattes that bring the colorful aesthetic together and add to the overall visual appeal of the visit. The main appeal here is really the overall experience rather than just stopping by for a dessert. The tea room adds a more elevated feel with a dedicated sit down setting, while the main café area works well for a quick visit to grab a drink or treat. The tea room in particular feels more intentional, with a setup that encourages you to settle in and enjoy the space rather than rushing through. The staff adds to the experience with friendly service that matches the welcoming atmosphere of the space, making the visit feel warm and approachable even for those who are not deeply familiar with the brand. Because the café is built around a specific theme, it is the type of place where expectations matter. It is less about finding the most innovative desserts and more about enjoying the combination of food, décor, and the Hello Kitty experience. The cute presentation and photo friendly environment make it a fun stop, especially for fans of Sanrio or anyone looking for a memorable café visit. The food is enjoyable, but it is the setting that makes the visit feel distinct from a standard café. Hello Kitty Café succeeds at creating a fun and immersive experience. The desserts and drinks are enjoyable, but the biggest reason to visit is the atmosphere and attention to detail. It feels like a place designed for slowing down, taking photos, and enjoying a little bit of nostalgia, offering a visit that feels more like an activity than just a quick stop for a sweet treat.

My friend and i did the bow room afternoon tea which is SO pink and gold and hello kitty perfection! They started us with chocolate mousse and strawberries which was delicious and i picked the honeyed pear tea (non caff) and my friend got earl grey. My tea smelled and tasted amazing. The sugar cubes are pink hello kitty shapes. Our tea came with 2 of everything: cucumber hk faces, beet hummus pitas (tiny), 2 egg salad waffle cups, lemon tarts, blueberry scones. chicken salad croissants, macarons, strawberry tarts, and little petit-four type cakes. Everything was quite delicious and i did get full from it and i didnt even drink all my tea. It seems like the pots are endless refills but nothing else is. I was disappointed that they gave us one small pat of butter and one little thing of jam for both of us - at that portion size we needed 1 each. Had a nice time! Would like to revisit the "to go" counter next time. Everyone was SOOO friendly and helpful but not smothering. Everything is perfectly hello kitty which i love.

The price is $20 + $0.51 booking fee per adult (ages 16+) for a one-hour session. [Experience]: Our party checked in at the front counter and hung out in the waiting area. The waiting area sells various pug merchandise and also has a touchscreen pinball machine. There is a unisex restroom available. Once our party stepped into a separate pink & clean room, the staff went over instructions on how to handle the pugs. Visitors are allowed to pick up the pugs but cannot carry them while standing. Any pug wearing a pink bandana is available for adoption. Each of us received few free treats to start, but additional treats like pupccino (a small pup cup), sausage treats, or fruit cups are available for purchase. The staff was friendly and was playing fun & energetic background music during the pug session. Our party didn't stay for the entire hour and left around the 45-minute mark because we had a dinner plan afterward. [Conclusion]: Our party had fun playing with the pugs and took plenty of photos. It was a fun and Instagrammable experience & I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who's visiting the Escondido area.

I was really nervous about the wait, reading other Yelp reviews, but we strapped on our straw hats on a Monday, arrived at 12 noon to no line at all! Really cool fluffy, red bun with "BF-37" branded on the top - hardcore fans will appreciate the Easter egg! Patty was properly cooked, not dry or tough to eat, and juicy. 8/10 The fries were nicely seasoned and also cooked with care, not soggy & not hard as a rock. 8/10 The drinks were good enough that I would come in just for the beverage, even if I wasn't hungry! * Gum Gum Ube Horchata 9/10 * Franky's Coke Ice Cream Float 8/10 * Zoro's Matcha Horchata 9/10 One Piece Cafe is a fun place, but not an immersive experience, like Medieval Times. I bought each son a shirt, a quality, thick shirt with crisp screen printed graphics. Come early in the week, close to opening at 11am, to avoid the 60-120 minute wait on weekends. Great for family fun or nerding out with your buddies!

Maid Nagi was on duty and she was both very professional and very polite. I ordered the Maid Lele Combo, the fish and chips were very good. The fried fish felt juicy kn the inside and crunchy on the outside. The chips/fries were good, right amount of soft and crunch. The Arnold Palmer Lemonade was a first time ever and it was nice and refreshing. But if you're a fan of sweets. The star of the show is the cheesecake. It has to be one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had. Since the combo was a Maid Special, Maid Nagi turned me into a cat (it was really fun and cute) and we cast a blessing to the food as well. You also get a cheki with the maid on duty, this time being Maid Nagi of course. Overall the atmosphere of the café was peaceful and fun. We were served by a wonderful Caucasian maid, and we also noticed a cute Korean maid taking care of some other tables--the whole staff was super friendly and really added to the charming, positive vibe of the cafe. One thing that really stood out to me was their retail section. They have a surprisingly solid selection of Japanese trading card games like Weiss Schwarz, Hololive, and Pokémon, alongside some manga. It's an awesome touch if you're a fan of the hobby or just want something interesting to browse while waiting for your order. As for the food, I had to try the classic maid cafe staple: the omurice. I ordered the curry omurice, complete with the signature cute ketchup art drawn right on the egg. It was hearty, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. We also tried a couple of their specialty iced espresso drinks, including the tiramisu latte. They were topped generously with whipped cream and tasty crumbles. The drinks are definitely on the richer, sweeter side, making them feel like a dessert in themselves. If you're into Japanese gaming and anime culture, or just looking for a cafe experience that's a bit out of the ordinary with fantastic service and indulgent drinks, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

We went for an early-ish lunch, so the options were much more limited compared to dinner. One of our friends has gone for dinner before, and that was much livelier with a much MUCH better menu option. I did take this into consideration as otherwise lunch review for a Sunday would be closer to 3 stars. From outside the cafe to inside, everything was really cute. They have a mascot, which is shown outside and in as well. Enter, and there's a wall of merch you can see and buy. There was another door in that room that takes you to the main dining area, but before it opens, they tell you a lil chant with movements to do. Pretty cool! We were then seated and given our menus. There are combinations which included a photo with a maid. We ended up getting 2 food combos (meal, drink, photo), a dessert combo (dessert, drink, photo), and a drink combo (drink, photo) to all share. The menu had a lot of options, but the food wasn't actually available (darn, was looking forward to some maid drawn omu-rice!), as it was lunch and that was a separate menu. Some items from that were unavailable, so we were super limited with what we could order re food. We ended up trying the following - Miso Salmon - lol, not great. The sides / veggies were better IMO, but they were really small portions. Chicken Teriyaki - the other 3 thought it was pretty good, and I thought it was just mid. Lack of flavor, but chicken texture was decent. Matcha Parfait Dessert Thingy - forgot the actual name of it, but it was pretty! Our maid drew on this which made it special. Taste-wise was fine. Various Drinks - I got a cold brew with tiramisu foam, and that was quite enjoyable. She drew a dog on the foam. Cute! A friend got the coffee with sea salt foam and she requested a fish be drawn. The best LOL. Another got their magic lemonade which was pretty cool! The mixing and such was fun to watch. My daughter got the oreo oat milk drink and she requested a cat to be drawn. Our maid was really nice and explained things extremely well. For the photos, she helped us with standard poses and we all left with a lil polaroid with our experience. Many of the clientele when we were there were solo male, which was what we saw in Tokyo as well. Some groups too. There were a lot of similarities with this maid cafe and the ones we visited in Tokyo, and some differences do include quality of the frequent visitor card (actual plastic card in Tokyo versus paper card here) and the photo came in a frame booklet thingy in Tokyo compared to just the photo here. Would come back for dinner to check that out though!
