Han is super nice and knows what she's doing. She can see and tell you where things should be fixed. We brought in four bottoms for her to adjust and it only costed $55. We had two suit pants, one skirt and one stretchy pants. One of the suit pants needed a smaller waist band. The pants around the waist was loose but there were a lot of fabric making it look extremely oversized. So the entire pants needed to be cut down a couple sizes. The other pants just needed to be tailored at the ankle. The stretchy pants and the skirt also needed to be tailored to be shorter. When I gave her my pants and skirt, she noticed immediately that they're from Uniqlo without even looking at the tag. When I tried to ask Uniqlo to tailor my pants, they said their machine would ruin it. So I took it upon myself to use those cheap brothers sewing machine to hem up the pants. I clearly didn't do a good job and Han saw it and easily guessed that I used a portable brothers sewing machine. After getting them back, the pants fit perfectly and not loose at all. Han hemmed everything up really well and for a really affordable cost. We weren't in a rush to get them back but she did it in a week. She also had a lot of work to do from other clients, so for her to finish in a week was amazing. When you meet her, don't feel discouraged, she has a really monotone facial expression, but we chatted and she was friendly. If you need something done quick or small at an affordable price, would recommend seeing her. read more

The worst service experience I ever had was at this shop. I brought in a dress that I wanted cut into a shirt and she quoted me $20 and said she can have it ready by Monday. I came in Wednesday to pick up and she had not even started working on my garment. She said that she has been very busy and will be finished with it next Monday. I was understanding and said I would be back next week around 5 pm. Come next Monday, it is still sitting on the table where I left it, untouched. She said "did I say it would be done today?" and completely forgot about my order. She then again said it would be done by tomorrow and I gave her my phone number this time so she can contact me if anything happens again. I was annoyed at this point. The next day, I called her ahead of time and asked her if the garment was ready for pickup and she said yes. I arrive and it is NOT ready. The only thing she had done was messily cut the excess fabric off. I asked her how long it would take and she said she could finish it today but she could do a better job if I came back tomorrow. The following day, I call ahead of time again and ask if the garment is ready for real this time. She insists that it is and I tell her that I will come today to get it. I get there at 5:10 pm (she closes at 6 pm) and the door is locked and no one is inside. I call her again and she says she 'had something urgent' and left early. I am so frustrated at this point since I have been to her shop FOUR TIMES after she continuously promised I could pick up my order. She could have easily called me and told me that she was leaving early and not to come, but she decided to be extremely unprofessional and a horrid communicator even though she knew I was coming in. All the while, she never once apologized for her mistakes. When I finally was able to get my order, the "better job" she said she would do was something I expect from a beginner sewing student and not a professional. The fabric cutting was uneven, the surging of the fabric is very lopsided and at some points, even missing the fabric completely, and some of the topstitching skips the serging work she did. I also don't know what possessed her to use black thread on a pink garment. Worst of all, she decided to alter the garment in such a way that it is incredibly difficult to put on and take off. I will never support Han again and would recommend you also take your business elsewhere. read more

I was looking for last minute alterations for my bridesmaid dress because I didn't want to fall on it while walking down the aisle. That would be mortifying. So, I was searching on Yelp and came across this business. Shoutout to the previous Yelp reviewer who explained she also needed her bridesmaid dress altered on a Thursday and the wedding was on a Saturday. That's the same dilemma I was in. I called to confirm what the other Yelp reviewer said and sure enough the owner said she'd have it done the next day! I took it in on Thursday morning and she had it done by 5pm on Friday. So grateful she was so efficient! I paid approximately $40 (see photograph below). Han explained that because the dress was double layered it would cost a little more. I personally thought it was a lot, but when you're in a bind and don't want to drive far you pay. However, I spoke to the other bridesmaids who also had their dresses hemmed and they paid $50! The owner was not the friendliest upon arriving but once she warmed up to me she was super talkative and nice. I now know she has a son, lives in Alhambra, has been doing this for decades and likes to eat her lunch. She may come across as cold to others, but if you treat her with respect she will be super sweet. The dress itself came out perfect! I told her I needed three inches to be hemmed and she did just that. It legit looks and feels stunning. So happy with the end result. read more

Waste my time to come here, since they have the wrong building number and wrong pictures of the shop on Yelp, it took me 20 mins to look for it. Once I finally found it, it's was closed. Needed a dress alteration urgently. Came in and the lady wore a mad face to begin with. Asked her if she can do what I needed, she said yes. I needed my dress back by a certain time and she was hesitant so I told her if it was too much trouble for her I can take it somewhere else. The owner is Vietnamese, very pleasant and speaks English well, good start. My buddy needed a long rain coat altered. She wanted the hem and sleeves shortened. We came in on a wednesday, could we have it tomorrow? No, definitely too busy. Saturday was the earliest it could be ready. How much? Well, depends if she wants to move up the lapels and button on the sleeves or just shorten the sleeves and remove the trimmings. How much more would it be? Another $25 just to move up the trimmings. And without the trimmings what would it cost? $50. Ok. My buddy was good with that. As promised, it was ready on time and the work itself was neat and professional. Why am I not giving the place more stars? Since I sew, here's the breakdown. The work itself should have required less than 2 hours. So...is $25/hr a good rate for alterations? I deducted a star for being a little pricey, but for those that don't sew, it's probably good. I also deducted another star for not having at least a 2 day turnaround. I should have deducted another star for the over populated hard to find parking in the lot behind the store, but I didn't. This is California. read more
