The store is a bit dated but they have a large, well-organized inventory arrangement that makes the most of the space. Aisles are just a bit narrow because of it, and definitely hard to have two people pass each other in an aisle without brushing coats when everyone is bundled up in the winter.

My father was in the hospital due to a major and serious first time seizure. He was in for 7 days until they could find the right meds. They sent him home but the seizure meds were very difficult to come by. The distributor for cvs was out of this particular med. They were on backorder. There was nothing else anyone at CVS could do. The pharmacist K, Edmo even tried to call the neurologist for an alternative to make sure my dad would have this crucial medication or something similar. The doctors never called back. Amber gave me great advice about which other pharmacies may have a different distributor. This did the trick and I was able to find another pharmacy that had the needed med. I still couldn't get a hold of his neurologist and had to have the script called in by another one of my fathers doctors. Thank you everyone at cvs!!

The pharmacy area in the back is large, though what few chairs they have are somewhat cramped along one side. There is a customer consultation area behind the pharmacy for things like briefings and vaccinations. The man behind the counter at the register was very friendly. Just be careful if you are backing out of one of the parking spaces from the West Avenue entrance, because that gets a lot of traffic from the customers proceeding to the drive-thru prescription area on the Washington Street side.

The counter people in the pharmacy are not highly skilled at finding existing prescriptions - I've been told before by counter staff that there are no prescriptions in the system for me (which would have caused me to have to contact my doctor and take up their time re-sending it) - yet the pharmacist (which I asked for) was able to easily find it. The pharmacy often does not have certain medications in stock. Be ready for multiple delays if this happens: 1) they have to order the medication, 2) they have to process your insurance, 3) they'll tell you the Rx is ready but when you go pick it up (and wait in line) you'll be told they're out of that medication. If you press them, they'll MAYBE discover that it's there - but still in the shipping crate - at which point they'll ask you to come back later to pick it up. I've had to wait more than a week multiple times, to get my medication because of these sorts of problems. The pharmacy has not prioritized streamlining their systems - for example, processing your insurance at the time you present a prescription - to save you that wait wen you come back.

If you want to make jokes about people shopping in their underwear or the lack of parking near the entrance because shoppers would rather wait in their cars for a space to open up than walk, Walmart is an easy target. He proceeds to berate me in front of the line of customers talking about me as if I'm not there. He says to them "people just don't like to read etc." while he FORCES me to skip the line to checkout AFTER I already said oh I see the sign and move to the line. I get it. You make 17.00 an hour and someone gave you a superiority complex because you saw a crowd. Walmart should keep more supervisors around so their employees don't cross the line, they clearly need to be managed. This was absolutely a crappy experience after spending so much money in less than hour.

Well, they did expand it a few years ago, and it's been much better since. They've always done a good job of keeping the registers attended during busy times, and that expansion added the much-needed self-checkouts. They also added the To-Go section on the south end with a separate door for the employees to bring out your groceries and prescriptions from the pharmacy. They have parking spaces you can wait and call, but also a drive-thru at the aforementioned door to reduce the distance they have to bring your items - also convenient when it's raining.

I reached out to them to get set up and they not only had a wide variety of options for the equipment we needed but spoke, extensively, on each of the choices so that Mr and my wife could make a fully informed decision. Not only were they informative but they were exceptionally kind, thoughtful and funny. When I went in to pick up the equipment I was blown away by the selection and the breadth of their pharmacy.
