The store is a bit dated but they have a large, well-organized inventory arrangement that makes the most of the space. Aisles are just a bit narrow because of it, and definitely hard to have two people pass each other in an aisle without brushing coats when everyone is bundled up in the winter.

If they had looked at the tracking number they would have seen that it was on the shelf all along. They were vehement that the package was not there and that I had to contact UPS to find out where it was. Thank goodness the driver, who has a regular route, remembered that she delivered it to the store. I spoke to four ladies that day and all of them denied that the package was there. I also asked for the regional manager's number and was just given his name and no number. I was told I would waste my time calling him. I'm posting this review instead.

The counter people in the pharmacy are not highly skilled at finding existing prescriptions - I've been told before by counter staff that there are no prescriptions in the system for me (which would have caused me to have to contact my doctor and take up their time re-sending it) - yet the pharmacist (which I asked for) was able to easily find it. The pharmacy often does not have certain medications in stock. Be ready for multiple delays if this happens: 1) they have to order the medication, 2) they have to process your insurance, 3) they'll tell you the Rx is ready but when you go pick it up (and wait in line) you'll be told they're out of that medication. If you press them, they'll MAYBE discover that it's there - but still in the shipping crate - at which point they'll ask you to come back later to pick it up. I've had to wait more than a week multiple times, to get my medication because of these sorts of problems. The pharmacy has not prioritized streamlining their systems - for example, processing your insurance at the time you present a prescription - to save you that wait wen you come back.

Well, they did expand it a few years ago, and it's been much better since. They've always done a good job of keeping the registers attended during busy times, and that expansion added the much-needed self-checkouts. They also added the To-Go section on the south end with a separate door for the employees to bring out your groceries and prescriptions from the pharmacy. They have parking spaces you can wait and call, but also a drive-thru at the aforementioned door to reduce the distance they have to bring your items - also convenient when it's raining.

The pharmacy seemed to be the most staffed part of the store, there were more behind the counter than any place else in the store. That's partly because of all the unmanned self-checkout kiosks in the front, somewhat crowded with a lot of other displays, service counters, and devices, many of which had "out of order" signs on them. The dark colored carpet and the dim lights add to the dreariness.

This new Hannaford seems to satisfy the company's need to have a store within easy reach of…read moreapproximately every 3rd exit off I-87 (they have other stores near exits 2E, 6, 9, 15, and 18, so this fills a void). It makes good business sense, as there is a lot of traffic on NY 67 west and NY 50 north, particularly during the evening rush hour. Also, the only other grocery store reasonably convenient was the Price Chopper in the village of Malta, whose motto appears to be "More Roundabouts? Sure!" The store is actually quite aesthetically pleasing. It's well laid out, particularly the produce department. It's brightly lit, and the aisles are easily wide enough for shopping carts going in opposite directions to not interfere with each other. There's a large dining area in the front, with a utensils stand including a microwave. If you're a regular shopper at Hannaford, the organization of the store will feel familiar, except for the beer aisle being closer to the produce/pharmacy departments. It was well stocked and clean, though that's understandable, as it's only been open 6 days as of this review. A few nits: Disappointed that they don't have a hot air hand dryer in the men's room... the salad bar containers don't have the 4-digit number on them for ease of entry at the self-checkout stands (though the newer self-checkout software does have a nice search facility)... only 3 self-checkouts, and I predict there will be a back-up of customers wanting to use these, especially if any break down (which seems to happen more than it should). Of these, only the last one is likely to bother anyone. I'm certainly glad to see a Hannaford here, as opposed to what might have otherwise gone in.

We had a unique prescription to be filled for some medical equipment and our doctor sent the script to Marra's to be filled. I reached out to them to get set up and they not only had a wide variety of options for the equipment we needed but spoke, extensively, on each of the choices so that Mr and my wife could make a fully informed decision. Not only were they informative but they were exceptionally kind, thoughtful and funny. When I went in to pick up the equipment I was blown away by the selection and the breadth of their pharmacy. It is really impressive. Never figured I'd leave a review for a pharmacy, but here I am. 10/10, they're fabulous.

Had to get a prescription written twice by my doctor and sent in again. Next time - I will stick to Walmart. I had never used Marra's before and the pharmacist was encouraging me to transfer my prescriptions here - I have 6 people in my family - so it would have been a lot. Lucky for me I didn't.
