They also sell wine coolers of all different types of varieties. They really have just about something for everybody in here even selling kegs, some you may have to order ahead of time. I am not much of a drinker but I do on occasion enjoy a good full-bodied beer or a nice glass of wine. I decided to check out Troy Beverage Center, and fell in love. They have a very wide variety of different beers. I've gone back multiple times to try different ones, and I plan on keep going back! The only problem with this place is the lack of organization, making it very tough to find things if you have something particular in mind, and it's also very dusty, which makes me wonder how often they rotate beers out. Other than that, this is a great spot to pick up some specialty stouts, IPAs, or whatever you might be looking for if you're in the Troy area!

They cool the growler containers for you before they fill them up because they are sweet people just trying to get you a decent frosty buzz going. Lots and lots of choice of beer and something else I really appreciated, MIXERS. Lots of tonic and seltzer flavors to keep you satisfied. I think I even peeped a Cucumber Melon flavor. Go here, get your beer, drink your beer and come back again. At least, that's what I'm planning on doing.

During my short visit I was approached by three sales people, two very friendly, welcoming, and anxious to answer any questions. I was primarily interested in French and Northwestern wines. Not a huge selection but some very interesting and fine selections, several of which I haven't seen elsewhere in the Capital Region. I walked out with seven bottles. While I didn't expect this, I received a half case discount. Not inexpensive, but seemed quite fair for the area. I am looking forward to a return visit.

I have never been so disgusted and disappointed in a business..I used to be a rewards member with…read morethis store and now I refused to come back ..I came in the store to purchase some champagne I pick up a bottle that probably value $80 and decided to go with something cheaper so I put it back down but apparently I didn't not put it in the right placing .I purchased my item and left ..several hours later I receive a voicemail from the cashier stating " you were looking at some champagne and now we can't find it we need you to bring it back now " .They were insinuating that I had stole the bottle without even doing a clean sweep of the place and was being demanded that I bring back a stolen item I never took ..when I called them I politely but sternly told them that I did not steal the bottle and they needed to look before assuming I took something, I mean at least look at the camera before calling someone and labeling them a theft . After that I wrote the owners an email and I never heard from them .Not an apology was issue not even a reply .I can't help but to think This was somewhat racially profiled but I can't make that judgement only god can I just know I will never set foot in that establishment again .

The prices are higher on the same items they haven't sold through from the previous owners. Just after the store changed hands, I ordered some bottles online. When I got to the store, the price was higher. They honored it and then took the item down from the website. It's now just a generic liquor store that sells some decent things at an elevated price. Don't expect any help close to what you'd get from the former crew.

I had no idea Empire Too even existed until I saw a post on the 518 vegan page…read more I was excited to see they carry a variety of Rebel Cheeses, a plant-based artisan cheese company which is a woman owned and veteran owned business I am proud to support! Aside from the dairy free cheese selections, they have a large selection of meats and cheeses. The store walls are lined with local NY State products from small businesses, snacks, sauces, pasta, cocktail mixes, hard to find ingredients, glassware, gift sets, and bar supplies. If you spent an hour walking around inside you would still struggle to see all the products available. They have a ton of holiday gift ideas that would be great anytime now through New Years or throughout the year. Yes, you can see in the photos, they have a very large selection of non-alcoholic alcohols like Tequilla, Gina, Rum, Vodka, etc... as well as N/A beer and mocktails. To me, there's something special about a visit to Yankee Distillers. There's a sense of "We know…read morewhat we want to do, and we're gonna do it!" here that I haven't gotten from many other distilleries. Being off the beaten path, it's not someplace that will get a lot of casual drive by's - they get the people who want to come here. I wasn't sure what would be of interest to me here. After the tastings, I was very pleasantly surprised to find it would be their vodka! I'm not normally a vodka person, but there is a very short list of distilleries that make a vodka I can actually sip, and I just added their Eleven Lakes Vodka to that list, most likely right at the top. Finishing a very close second was their Rye. By the way, the ingredients for these come 100% from New York State. And with so many distilleries in NY shortening their aging, I appreciated that all their whiskies age a minimum of 6.5 years. The people here definitely love their craft and appreciate conversation with folk who have an understanding of distilling. If, of course, you can make it past the very effective guard dogs, Basil and Barley - though it's not so much they're protecting the place, just making sure they get their much deserved attention from you before, during, and after, your drinks. There's almost always something new going on here; when we arrived today's list had just been freshly laminated. Visit often.

They are going the extra mile by making authentic mixers made with real ingredients. Take one look at the container of bloody mary mix on the bar and you will see what I mean. I ordered the Manhattan and it was fabulous. Every sip was perfection. The owner is a very warm and happy fella who clearly loves his business. The other draw at Yankee is the team of pugs that meet you on arrival. They look like loaves of bread with smooshy faces connected. One will sit on your lap with out any coaxing! This is a happy place serving happy things. The bottles of booze are a bit pricey but the drinks are reasonable. Definitely get out and enjoy one soon!
