Originally developed in New Zealand in 1934, they've definitely earned their reputation as the ideal lunchbox apple with their sweet and mild flavor. Pick-your-own runs from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily, and the weather couldn't have been better for it. Afterward, we stopped into the farm store (open until 6 PM daily) and were impressed by the variety of apples and other local goods available. To top it off, we grabbed a cider donut (delicious, of course!) and checked out the newly rebuilt cidery and brewery. Not too sweet or tart and tasted actually quite natural. Ended up taking a growler home to share with friends. We weren't hungry so we didn't try the food but they had a chicken barbecue going and were selling cheese boards that looked pretty great. The bathroom situation is port-o-potties but to my surprise and delight they were actually clean and they offer a handwashing station outside. A++ recommend and would return.
