The menu is so large and varied (sushi, izakaya, noodles, Thai food, etc) and yet every item is done so well! We got the teriyaki chicken, chicken katsu, yaki ika, and unagi and cucumber roll, and every item was fresh and delicious. Our orders were taken and served quickly, our waters were refilled regularly, and prices were normal for the area. I would definitely come back to try even more of their menu items!

The premium upgrades really are not worth the price difference, especially since they told us they were out of uni only AFTER we had already placed our first order. A server came back and said, pretty unapologetically, "I forgot to tell you we sold out of the uni." It felt like a bait and switch and was really disappointing. They should have let us know before we ordered, or honestly before we were even seated, and at least offered some kind of accommodation or discount. The only premium items that felt worth an upcharge were the torched salmon and salmon roe. The otoro was not very fatty, and the wagyu was just ok, sliced a bit too thin and not very tender. The scallops and sweet shrimp were also ok. The $50 AYCE is a decent value. The sashimi cuts are thick and the quality is high for AYCE. The salmon is my hands down favorite. But tonight's experience was disappointing enough that I probably would not return. And ultimately there are other AYCE spots that offer slightly lower quality at a much lower price, and thus feel more worth it.

The noodles are wonderfully textured with the right amount of chew. The broth is wonderfully balanced. The other ingredients are also well balanced and in the right quantity. The zangi fried chicken is to die for! It's tender, juicy, flavorful, and has the right amount of crisp sitting above a flavorful complementary sauce. Lastly the staff is very pleasant and interior is cozy and comfortable.

We missed the first round but managed to get a bowl from the second. It was definitely unique, but it tasted like a very simple clear fish soup--not something worth lining up for two hours to get. We also ordered the spicy miso to try some variety, but the soup did not have a lot of depth. For a place that is very expensive, the flavors were just okay and felt a bit flat. For sides, the chicken was a major disappointment. There was so much breading that we could barely taste any meat; it felt like we were just eating the starch or whatever coating they used. Unless you are already in the area and there is no line, I would skip this. The food is definitely not worth the long wait or the high price tag.

We got here right when they opened so they were still preparing the premium onigiri for the day. Service was very friendly - order at the register and pick up your food when ready. We did order one of each - Chashu & Aji-Tama (Braised Pork & Egg) - this was one of my favorites, flavorful and fresh. Karage - Probably our second favorite - the chicken was tender. Spicy Karage - similar to the regular karage but I wasn't the biggest fan of the spicy mayo Takana (Pickled Mustard Leaf) - this one was surprising but very good and a little spicy. I also ordered their Cherry Blossom Tea and the Hojicha Latte. Both were good teas. I did some shopping here too as they had a variety of snacks, teas and other trinkets. They have a small little refrigerated fresh food section where you can also get onigiri and other foods. Very cute spot and good amount of seating inside. Nice, quiet and calming inside. Would definitely come back.

The hostess was very kind and accommodating. I have high suspicions this place is owned by Chinese people based on some clues, such as Chinese style noodles on the ramen menu and steamed pork buns as an appetizer. We got the beef noodle soup which was excellent (albeit not expected in a Japanese restaurant!). It was actually a little spicy. Came with lots of beef and a flavorful and rich broth. We got two of the special rolls, Kiss of Fire and (I think) Torched Yellowtail, which were both tasty. No complaints there! For our appetizer we got sashimi salad, composed of strips of several kinds of raw fish (salmon, tuna, white tuna, yellowtail) and some surimi and avocado on top of a bed of greens. There was a ponzu like sauce on the side. Although fresh and not bad tasting, I think this was a bit plain. Overall though, the prices and vibes were good and I'd come back!

I was stuck between getting cold or hot udons but I'm sooo happy we ordered the Signature Cold Niku Udon! The udon was cooked perfectly chewy and the broth was refreshing and light. They had music going and you can see all the workers vibing, it was good energy to see while eating. The menu isn't large but there is option for cold or hot and spicy. Pick the cold noodles!! They are so good, the soup was good too but the cold noodles are definitely the star of the show. The portion size is great, it was more than I expected and the portion with protein and everything was balanced well. The bowl came with beef, ginger, seaweed and I think tempura. The tempura was a perfect crisp to add into each bite. Unfortunately in the broth it did get pretty soggy.
