I can't believe it took me so long to try Hanju Kitchen! I've been following them on Instagram for a while and always salivating over the pictures. I didn't realize initially that Hanju Kitchen shares a space with The Royal Bobcat but the pairing really works! You can grab some delicious food from the kitchen window and a lovely cocktail at the bar and enjoy. We sampled the kimchi mac and cheese and the surf n' turf po'boy. Both were truly outstanding. I'm not sure I could pick a favorite as they were both executed flawlessly and were just so flavorful and delicious. I am totally sold on the Cajun/Korean fusion food offered by Hanju Kitchen and am looking forward to returning again soon! Would 100% recommend it :)

Hanju kitchen is located in The Royal Bobcat. I was super excited to try this place since its a fusion between Korean food and cajun food. I also follow them on Instagram and they post really great photos. Great job on marketing! I rang the bell for service and ordered the Bulgogi mac, Bulgogi po'boy, and Surf N Turf rice. The Bulgogi mac has bulgogi, kimchi spice cheese sauce, cajun spice, and kimchi relish. The Bulgogi po'boy has sweet soy korean marinade beef steak, lettuce, tomato, daikon pickles, remoulade w/ Cajun fries. The Surf N Turf rice has bulgogi steak and fried shrimp. All the food was delicious and very flavorful. The mac n cheese had different types of pasta. The bulgogi po'boy was great, but it was interesting to have hot bulgogi and cold lettuce in one bite. The bread was fresh. The fries were fried to the perfect temperature. I am definitely interested to coming back to Hanju kitchen and trying other dishes.

Stumbled upon on this bar and ordered the following: - Cajun Kimchi Mac n Cheese $12: House kimchi, Cajun cheese sauce, 3 cheeses, kimchi relish, scallion, house chili oil - WOW this was so delicious! Packed with flavor, really had a good spicy kick so if you cannot handle spice, it might be a bit spicy for you. There were two different types of pasta(Penne and shells). - Hush puppies: It was my first time having hush puppies and I'm not a big fan of cornbread. My friend did like it though. - Poboy (Surf N Turf): Bulgogi Steak & Fried Shrimps, lettuce, tomatoes, daikon pickles, remoulade w/ Cajun fries $19: AMAZING! Bulgogi meat was tender and the fried shrimp was lightly battered and the combination was perfect! FYI - To place an order you will have to go to the corner window and ring the bell and pay there as well. Whether you condiments or napkins you'll need to go to this window. Water is self served and is available at the bar. The wall is full of cat pictures so if you're a cat lover that's a plus! Haha. There seems to be free jazz on Wednesday and Saturdays!

Came here with two friends on a Thursday night. Great vibes, drinks, and food! Hanju was not there when I lived in Providence, so it's great to see there's a place like this now in Prov. We ordered the kimchi mac & cheese, gumbo, and surf & turf rice. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, they were all flavorful. The kimchi mac & cheese was my favorite, actually, one of my fave mac & cheese I've had in awhile. I can't locate the drinks menu online, but they were also good and decently priced. Overall, a nice place to chill and hangout with your friends. I would definitely come back here!

Bulgogi Mac is incredible. so extremely flavorful with a pleasant kick at the end. I have no idea what they marinate their beef in but it is out of this world. Such an elevated max and cheese dish that bursts with a cheesy, spicy and hint of sweetness from what we the beef is marinated in. Would be hard to visit Hanju kitchen and not order this every single time. The churro sundae like everything else, did not disappoint. Perfect churro texture, crunchy outside, soft inside, absolutely delicious sweet treat to end the night. Everything else pictured we have had before and they're never a disappointment. Go to Hanju and eat everything. You won't regret it.

Ordered Hanju for take out and the way the food was packaged was a good sign of detail. The food was packaged with care and closed with stickers with the name of the restaurant. Ordered the bulgogi po boy, kimchi Mac and blueberry bread pudding. Portions of the food will definitely make you full. The had great flavor with the taste of bulgogi and the veggies. It had some similar notes of eating a banh mi due to the veggies which I enjoyed. The kimchi mac had a good spice to it with 3 different pasta noodles (shells, farfalle, penne) used. The kimchi provided a bit of a sweet taste which made a good contrast to the spice of the mac. The bread pudding was warm and I had to take a bite before I even got to the actual entrees. Definitely a not too sweet type of dessert which tasted perfect to me. Definitely would recommend trying it out. Overall everything was delicious and would recommend

I had high expectations after seeing the menu and the food definitely lived up to it. Everything was delicious! We ordered the steak and shrimp Po boy, the gumbo, dumplings, and bulgogi Mac & Cheese. I would suggest ordering at the counter instead of ordering online. We went on a Saturday night so they also had live jazz, so the food, music, and drinks made for a perfect night.

I absolutely love Hanju Kitchen! They offer Korean infusion cuisine and I'm satisfied every visit! My favorite dish is the Bulgogi Cheesesteak. There are so many words to describe this sandwich: delicious, flavorful, rich, meaty, spiced, cheesy, HEAVENLY. The bulgogi beef is prepared perfectly, and the sauce truly completes it. It is the best cheesesteak you will eat in Rhode Island. I will choose this every time. I'm a big fan of their weekly specials. I've tried the Derek's Quarantine Po'boy, which was marinated bulgogi beef steak, mashed potatoes, braised greens, gravy. That bulgogi, you can't resist it. The Cheeseburger Po'Boy was full of flavorful with an average thickness patty. One day there was Kimbap specials which included bulgogi, tuna, and kimchi. They started rolling in ramen, dumplings, savory pancakes and more. Always keep a look out for the weekly menu updates!

I've been wanting to come here for so long and finally had the opportunity. I like the concept of two different businesses in one. I also liked the decorations (took me a bit to see the cat portraits) and different kinds of seating area; there were high chairs, couches, low seats, etc. Since it was our first time we were a bit confused on how ordering worked but you ring a bell and someone will come out to take your order. Then, they'll come out to give you your food when it's ready. According to reviews, one of their popular dishes is the kimchi mac and cheese so it was what I was mostly there to try. We took it a notch further and ordered the bulgogi kimchi Mac and cheese. We also ordered the Korean wings, and bulgogi po boy. Let's start with the wings. The wings were good. Crispy and flavorful. I wish the sauce was more absorbed into the chicken as opposed to coated on. The sauce was on the thinner side and beware that there is a spicy aftertaste despite the sweet introduction. I'm sure the lettuce on the plate was a decoration but I actually think it gave the wings flavor a crunch. Next, the po boy. The flavors almost reminded me of a banh mi. The fries were a bit cold, and I couldn't really taste too much of the Cajun. Now, for the star of the show. The Mac and cheese was amazing! I would go back just for that. It was spicy, it was sweet, it was creamy, and it was filling. I'm not a huge kimchi fan so I was almost tempted to ask with it off but I'm glad I didn't. It was finely chopped and there was just a little bit anyways. It didn't have an overpowering acidic taste which was good. The bulgogi was tender and sweet but next time I would be interested in trying it without (or asking for half the bulgogi portion) because I think the Mac and cheese alone had enough flavor. One thing I noticed is they use different shapes of pasta and I liked that, it was a surprise as to what you'd be getting in your next bite. There were some things on the menu that caught my attention so I think I'll be back for more. The staff is kind and quick to serve. They don't have a parking lot (which is common on Atwells Ave) but there is free side street parking.

It's time to experience the Hanju Kitchen! We are here on Ramen night. Fingers crossed that the food delivers.... The bar- The Royal Bobcat- and the kitchen - Hanju Kitchen are separate entities. We started with the Kimchi rice- tasty and the Korean flavor was totally prevalent. The short grain rice ate very nicely and the chili sauce was the taste of the dish. My friend ordered the classic and asked what the fish Odom was- the waitress said fish sauce but they were fish cakes - not a fan. The Carbonara was a good ode to An Italian Carbonara with the egg - however where are the peas and more veggies. Overall a good dinner but the pictures didn't truly represent the dishes. Yet the taste was on point and I am looking to try other dishes.

Luckily a friend told us about what to expect here otherwise we would've been totally confused. There are two separate businesses located in one location called "The Royal Bobcat" with OUI over the entrance. If that isn't confusing enough you'll need to walk thru the bar area to find a couple of menus on a small counter or, you can use the QR code on each table to peruse the menu. Ring the bell on the counter and someone will appear to take your food order. If you want drinks you order from the bar. We had the gumbo which was a small bowl of a Southern grandma's comfort food. Next, the gooey chicken wings coated in a Korean finger lickin' glaze and the vege dumplings - crispy and delicious although I have had better at another Korean restaurant. Overall, the food was good and I really like the vibe of the place with stained glass and sparkly lights in an intimate setting. My only negative comment would be the bartendress who is low on the scale of friendly and definitely not a smiler. See my "The Royal Bobcat" review. Cracking a smile now and again can make your customers visit a beacon of joy amidst a delightful menu of seoulful bayou Korean-Cajun fusion concoctions.

First time visiting Providence and we randomly picked this restaurant because it was nearby. What a pleasant treat! We happened to arrive on Wednesday, so there was a live jazz band playing which added to the retro ambience. The food was delicious and great portions. Loved the cat portraits hanging on the walls.

So good! I was pleasantly surprised. I tried the gumbo and pork dumplings and both dishes were loaded with flavor and absolutely delicious. Such a cool concept to fuse Cajun and Korean, it works so well. Definitely worth a try!

First of all, Sun & Moon feels like a home-y Korean restaurant. The owners are Korean and I'd come here when I crave Korean food. I will caveat that it's not necessarily the best Korean food I've ever had, but it's probably the most authentic you'd be able to get in Providence. The vegetable pancake was surprisingly really good - crispy around the edges, right amount of veggie to it. This one I would recommend - it's legit. I've also had the knife cut noodles which is pretty good, but different than the kind I normally get at other Korean restaurants -this one is more seafood forward which is usually not the case at other Korean restaurants. The spicy rice cakes were a bit mid - I would skip out on them next time. The rice cakes didn't have a good chewy texture and they were quite pricy too. The tonkatsu was actually pretty good, so when I got the tonkatsu udon, I was expecting that too be good as well, but the udon was way too salty and had too much MSG flavor, so I couldn't finish it. Overall, cute little place to come when craving Korean food. Menu is huge and not everything is a hit on the menu, but if you know what to order, you'll hit your craving. Parking is street only!

It's a known Korean restaurant right by the Thayer street Providence. Inside is like a bar and has decent amount of seatings but can be busy on weekends as it's a popular spot. The place offers variety of Korean dishes but the place is known for the Korean fried chicken. We got gluten free bone in spicy Korean chicken, spicy Korean rice cake, and cheesy boneless fried chicken. I've come to the location with my friends and his partner and he couldn't have gluten. We had ordered gluten free fried chicken and I noticed that the chicken was more fresh and crispy. Since then i always order gluten free bone in fried chicken. Fried chicken was crispy with savory, sweet, spicy and tender. Cheesy boneless fried chicken had nice char and was sweet and savory. Spicy Korean rice cake was spicy, sweet and chewy. The food was pretty good overall. Spicy Korean chicken and spicy rice cake may be a bit too spicy for some and sauce for spicy rice cake is too much some times. Service was great. There was some issue with ordering and they gave us hot tea and made cheesy boneless fries chicken off our check. Overall, the place was good and a solid place for Korean fried chicken and some Korean dishes. Price is a but pricey but tips seem to be included in price so its not too bad. Walked past this small noodle bar on my way to PPAC to catch a show and thought I would grab a bite…read morepost show. Easy access just across the street from PPAC, both table and bar style seating. Very friendly and helpful service as I was quickly seated at bar and provided with some awesome recommendations with the miso salad and ragu. The ragu was phenomenal with perfect combination of fresh noodles, combo of meats and a bit of spice that gives it a little extra kick. Good selection of beers and drinks to wash your meal down over conversations with staff or friends. Stop on in for some great noodles in a casual and relaxed atmosphere!

If you're a vegetarian, I'd suggest skipping this restaurant. Went in last night for dinner wanting…read morea soup because it was cold out. The server said there was really only one option on the menu for vegetarians which is what I ordered. The food is served luke warm and for $15 I'm pretty sure I could have made this same dish at home for much cheaper and probably better. It has a spicy chili oil on the side that you mix in along with the pickled radish which was more salty than pickled tasting. One bunch of noodles wasn't properly cooked and clumped at a section. I consider myself pretty good eating with chopsticks and the slippery noodles proved to be quite difficult to eat. Not a good option if you're on a date and maybe concerned with how you will look eating this dish. Probably the saving grace of the dish was the mushrooms which allowed me to give this place 3 stars. I will not be back to this restaurant. I only ordered a hot water with a lemon for a drink. No lemon was given, only a chipped little cup (pictured), and the restaurant was freezing. I kept my coat on the entire time. The menu is really tiny. I suggest looking at the menu before going and really making sure there is something you want to try before going. Rookie mistake made on my end!
