It doesn't look like much from the outside- very 70s feeling building, but inside it's spacious and airy, with plenty of seating. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, from the seating host to our server to the attentive staff circulating with coffee refills. It was hard to decide what to have. My companion chose a steak skillet and I had the lemon ricotta pancakes. When they arrived, both were very ample portions (we both needed to-go boxes!) and delicious. For me, the best thing was the fresh otange juice, using a machine I've only seen in my favorite Latino cafes in Florida. It was so good, I had to get another to take with me! They were also just fine with us enjoying a leisurely breakfast, since we had a couple of hours to fill before the public muesum opened. We were there on a Tuesday and they were steadily busy, but not packed. No obtrusive music and sound level was quiet enough that we didn't have to yell to hear each other. Prices were decent, given the 2025 economy - you get plenty and parking is easy. Will definitely return if we get back this way!

Gorgeous space right on the lake and even though we were there in winter, it was still a pretty sight to look out the windows. The restaurant was packed with regulars and the it was a fun Friday night, I'm glad they took reservations. We started out with drinks, which had a separate menu. Not the easiest to navigate for the specials as they just had funny names and not what was in it. Overall my old fashioned was super sweet due the maple syrup, so I would probably just stick with your usual order. As for the food, the CHEESE CURDS were truly some of the best that I've had! Ooey, gooey, deliciousness! Perfect crunch and also melted in your mouth. The menu itself is very extensive and there is something for everyone to eat. I appreciated that most of the entrees came with a soup or salad, though I will say that none of the food absolutely wow'ed me. The dessert was interesting. The brownie was classic and the gluten free cheesecake..was gluten free. Very strange in my opinion, but appreciate that they have it as an option. Overall, I would definitely come here for a fish fry, a drink, and I can totally see this place hopping in the summer.

Gabby was our server, she was terrific! The food, however...huge disappointment! The gumbo was watery and not given the time it needed to meld the flavors just right. I had the Walleye with a cauliflower sauté...the fish was very good, but the cauliflower sauté was OVERWHELMED by a ridiculous amount of bacon (unmentioned in the description.) I'm glad I wasn't pescatarian. The accompanying squash was tough and lukewarm, I suspect cooked earlier and waiting to be dished up. My husband got the Gnocchi with a rubbery sirloin steak and a sad potato gnocchi. Neither of us finished our meals. I would definitely go back for the view and drinks, no food. (This review was from our visit last summer. I left it in drafts)

The only good thing about it is that we were seated fast and the staff was attentive and friendly. We got water at the start of our visit, which water shouldn't have a taste, no? Our water tasted like battery acid. It was bitter beyond belief, absolutely foul. We asked for bottled water, they didn't have it. We ended up getting wine and an old fashioned. My wine was good, my fiances old fashioned wasn't anything to write home about. We only got an appetizer platter because we were scared to order food based on how the water tasted. Everything was lacking seasoning, lacking SALT. The steak bites were rock hard, it hurt to chew. The only edible thing that we ordered which was the shrimp cocktail. I don't know how this place is rated so high, it may have been good back in the day, however my experience here was abysmal. I won't be returning.

I had the chicken pecan for lunch which included soup or salad, choice of side and the pecan crust med chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce all for $13. Service is good and there is plenty of seating with different side rooms and the bar. My only complaint is that the Bloody Mary doesn't come with a chaser. It's only a $1 more but you do need to ask for a chaser.

This shop is half store, half bakery/cafe/delicious eats! I browsed around the store - which was full of local trinkets, clothing, magnets, and other that was just fun to look around. The bakery/shop was filled with trinkets, souvenirs, clothing, wine, snacks, popcorn and cookies! When I say this is popcorn heaven, I mean any and every flavor you could think of, is here. White Chocolate, Loaded backed Potato, cheese curd, everything! While the popcorn is impressive, it's the cookie bar that's insane....and what we came for! All cookies are made and decorated in house - with the coolest flavors and pairings around. For $15, we could pick 6 cookies of our choosing - all of which were fancier than a simple chocolate chip. I can't remember our flavors, but all were moist, delicious, and reminiscent of a Crumbl cookie - only better! We left with a few Wisconsin items and noshed on the cookies all weekend. If in Oshkosh again, we'd happily return here!
