Although we'd probably recommend, we expected Hangar B to be better than it was... The Earl Grey tea was delicious, as was the artichoke and fingerling potato and sweet onion hash (with poached eggs, garlic aioli and sourdough toast), however the hash was quite colorless and gray looking, so did not look anywhere near as appetizing as it actually was. Unfortunately, the lemon ricotta pancakes were a bit of a disappointment and we only ate half of one of them; there was no essence of lemon or ricotta and they just appeared to be regular pancakes (and a bit overpriced at $15). The staff were super friendly and we enjoyed the experience (and would consider returning another time), but would probably avoid the pancakes and try something different! ;-) read more

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Hanger B on a Monday in busy August. The wait was approximately 20 minutes for a table for three around 11 AM, which was not bad, especially considering the planes going by as entertainment. The Donut is a must for a starter. The Donut comes with 4 homemade jams, which are delicious and two of them even feature herbs! Then I ordered the Red Hash made with beats, potatoes, bacon, poached eggs and other ingredients, which was super delicious. My two breakfast mates ordered specials, a Lobster Omelette and an Artichoke Hash and both were awesome as well. We will most definitely be back soon! read more

Really cool little gem at the airport. All local and organic, neighborhood kind of feel and small. Had the berry smoothie no sugar, omelette with roasted tomatoes, arugula, Vermont cheddar, Potato buttermilk donut and huevos rancheros. The service is horrible and terribly snobby. The hostess told us the wait was 35 minutes. After an hour, we asked her how much longer the wait was. Verbatim, she said, "I can't keep telling you how long the way is. I'll call your name when I call your name." Her attitude was snotty and we only asked once after we waited double the amount of time she quoted us. You work at a restaurant. You don't need to be overly friendly but you have to be polite. This place was way out of my comfort zone as they have a very healthy menu. We started with a donut, yes a healthy donut that came with jams. It was incredible and enough for everyone to share. For breakfast I had the Brussels sprout, potatoes ,and eggs special with a creamy red pepper sauce. It was delicious. Everyone at the table loved what they got too from pancakes, to eggs benny, and a red hash. The owner Tracy came to our table too and was very friendly. We've been trying to get into here for the past few years. What that really means is if you want to dine here, get here early or prepare for a wait. There's a reason for this - the food and service are amazing. I will hazard anyone with small children or anyone with sensitive ears that the first thing we heard after being greeted by the wait staff was the chef berating one of the cooks with the words "What the F&^*?" The expletives continued throughout our meal as it appeared as though the cook was having a real hard time doing things correctly. Understanding kitchens it's fairly normal for that type of language to be used. The tough part is that it's an open kitchen to the dining room and we had two toddlers with us. My recommendation is in the future to take it elsewhere. Getting back to the service - the ladies there were great. Attentive without being obtrusive. The food that was put out was excellent and I can definitely understand the reason for the wait we have experienced in the past. read more

Staying in neighboring Harwich and my Airbnb host recommended this place for breakfast. I showed up 30-40 mins after they opened on a Saturday and was sure I wouldn't wait long (it was just me!). Turns out this place is tiny! Less than 10 tables inside and a row of bar-style seats outside facing the runway. I ended up waiting ~ 25 mins. The food was all solid (I got the artichoke hash with a side of sausage) and the jams they give you are... the jam. I might go back today to buy some to take home! Super fun to watch the planes going in and out, and there happened to be an open house at the airport that day which meant lots of people milling around checking out the aircraft and cool cars. read more

This restaurant was excellent-from the unique setting to the amazing food. The wait to be seated was a little long, but that's to be expected on a weekend. Plus, while you wait you get to sit in a nice chair out on the deck and get a little sun. :) You can hear the air traffic controls over the radio out there too, which was neat. I've never heard that before. My food was awesome. I ordered juevos rancheros and it came out quickly and perfectly. The sauce, whatever it was, was SO good and my favorite part! The menu is innovative and doesn't skimp on the freshest, highest quality ingredients. I'm so glad we found this hidden gem!! Food that even Martha Stewart would be proud of. Special of the day.. Balsamic roasted mushroom, arugula, aged Vermont cheddar omelet (!!) Simply amazing!! The homemade jams are not to be missed for the toast. Raspberry red wine vinegar, blackberry lemon and strawberry thyme balsamic.. Um delicious!! We also ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes that came with fresh berries on top. What a treat! I can't say enough about this place. Even the picky 11yr old that was dining with us thought it was out best meal that we've had on the Cape! :) We made sure to stop and give our compliments to the chef.. who happens to also be the owner. Okay so this is an airport but wow the food was amazing food and absolutely healthy! Everything they make is great quality food. I had the eggs Benedict but this was not any ordinary yellow hollandaise sauce it was orange but wow great taste. Let me tell you about the bread pudding French toast topped with fresh berries and strawberries the moist bread it was my aha moment it was that good!!! My husband and Daughter had the crab cake Benedict awesome and my son had the ready for this??? Fish tacos Baja style!!! Omg it was wicked awesome fresh cod deep fried perfect absolutely perfect taste flaky and delicious. We also had the homemade fresh warm donut it's an old fashion served with a lemon marmalade, fresh whipped butter and fresh berry jam!!!! I had the Lemon Ricotta Cheese pancakes, which were absolutely delicious. 3 pancakes with an array of fruit - strawberries, blueberries and blackberries with lemon tart sauce and raspberry sauce. Open year round, and best experienced when not having to wait long (though even if off season on weekends you may have a wait during breakfast). Thanks to Yelp for helping my wife find this place during a recent visit to the Cape -- and thanks to the place for making it so delicious. We had to wait for 45 minutes at this neat, little airport-adjacent eatery. They told us the wait would be 30 minutes, which doesn't seem like much, but we were starving. So, not a great start. (They made up for it in a nice way, which I'll get to later ...) We went in and started with delicious orange juice. The creative menu caught our eyes, but we went pretty basic with a waffle and home fries (me) and the pilot's breakfast (my wife.) The food was simply amazing. Think of the best breakfast food you've ever had and it was better than that. The waffles were light, fluffy, and filling; the home fries were seasoned and cooked to perfection; the eggs and bacon, well, you see where I'm going here. The staff was friendly and attentive, and gave us a few free muffins as thanks for the long wait. Definitely a classy move. In short, go here if you're ever in the area. It's worth the wait. Hanger B is a really cute eatery located in Chatham Airport. It's fun to sit outside and watch the planes fly. They try to use as much local produce as possible here. Their food leans more towards the vegetarian side but they do have some meat options. I absolutely adore the breakfast sandwich. They rub garlic on the croissant and then put it on the grill to toast. This creates a delicate garlic flavor with a perfect light crunch. The only reasoning behind 2 stars is due to the location being pleasant. It was enjoyable to watch the planes go up in the air as I took a bite of my rubber eggs. As I waited to be seated, I noticed 2 boxes full of 8 dozen eggs each sitting in the sun, with a label in the box on all caps saying "keep refrigerated". Stupid of me to try the eggs after seeing this. Took one bite and it tasted like rubber. I could have kneeled down and took a bite of my car tire and it would have tasted better. Regardless of the food, the service was abysmal. My server looked miserable as she took our order, and did not smile at us once during our entire meal, not sure if she was a robot or a human, but she was scary. Save your time eating here, pack up a bag of food and sit below the restaurant at the hangar to go on the planes. Same view, better food, no attitude. read more
