Love, love, love this venue. They have great bands, great drinks, an outside area incase you need to smoke or just get outside. Tons of room for everyone. The bathrooms seem to be clean (filled with stickers but still clean). One of Theo my venues I go to. read more

What an improvement!! I haven't been here in a few years and the last concert had us waiting outside in line for hours. And hours. It was miserable. The show started late and I still don't even know what the reason was. There was no communication. But that was then. I was so pleasantly surprised when the doors opened right on time and while we waited in line, security came around and checked everyone to expedite the process. It was smooth sailing from there, absolutely nothing negative I could say! We had a front row spot, the sound was awesome, the bands were incredible. Great venue, cool disco ball, sweet lights. There are no disabled spots. The lot we used to park in was taken over by another business so you have to park around the corner and up the hill with all the other cars. Impossible for walkers and wheelchairs. There are marked spots being occupied by the tour bus and the other spots marked in the lot are for certain businesses only. We had a great time last night. I don't think they are enforcing the purse or bag policy. I got smacked and pushed around by lots of purses that were clearly larger and not clear. Aside from that, the air wasn't working properly and we were all dripping in sweat. Friendly staff last night even though they were clueless about the parking. Wil have to see what happens next concert and will report an update then. read more

I found out one of my favorite artists was coming to the Blind Tiger and quickly purchased tickets. All the information said doors open at 6:00 and the show starts at 7pm. Shortly before we left to go there, we were informed that there had been 2 separate shootings within the last week outside of the club. Now this is obviously not the clubs fault, but we did find out they were closed since last week due to multiple violations, they were being investigated by Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE), and that this was the first show since they reopened. I'll explain why this is important shortly. All the information on the show stated that the doors opened up at 6:00pm and the show started at 7:00pm. We figured we would plan to get there around 6:30 and with the time it would take to find somewhere to park, get inside, and get a drink at the bar we would miss some of the openers that we didn't care that much about. We arrived after 630 and saw there was still a huge line out the door. It was nearly impossible to find somewhere to park. The only signs regarding parking were large ones that said absolutely do not park here. It took us probably 20 minutes of driving around and looking everywhere on Yelp and the internet to find the designated parking areas. You have to go a block or two away, turn between two buildings into what seems like an alley way, go up a hill and pass several parking lots that say don't park here, only to arrive at 2 unmarked lots that we ended parking at hoping we would not get towed. We got into line a little before 7 and began waiting. Periodically several security guards would walk up and down the line seemingly doing nothing. About 20-30 minutes passed and they started coming down giving fluorescent wrist bands to people under 21. About another 20-30 after that they began walking through IDing everyone else that was over 21 and wanted to drink. At this point I was figuring out that they probably never bothered to do any of this before and this process was new due to their ALE investigation. It was really inefficient and seemed to be stumbling along because they were not used to it. About another 20-30 minutes later they walked up and down the line and said there's no renter. Another 20-30 minutes later they walked up and down saying don't bring vapes in cause they will be taken. The wait took so long people were leaving the line and walking to sonic, coming back and eating their food before the line even moved. We ended up waiting almost 2 hours in line and the doors opened 2.5 hours later than they were supposed to. No one ever said why it was taking so long and why were not being let it, which would have made me far less annoyed. Inside the bathrooms were on either side of the stage and the bouncers would only let one or two people go at a time. Sometimes they would not let anyone go because a performer was coming out from right next to the bathrooms soon. The show was awesome, but I give that credit to the performers. Only good thing about the venue was that service at the bar was quick and the prices were higher but not outrageous. The only chance of me coming back here are if there's a performer I cannot see anywhere else. I would rather drive twice as far as I did to get here to see another artist at a different venue. read more

I went to a concert here this past weekend and I believe it was the third one I've been here so it is about time I posted a review. (I know, right?!) this is a small venue so it has that close feeling where even the people in the back are pretty close to the stage. There are a ton of great bands of all styles and it's a hopping spot. Upside: the drinks are actually fairly priced considering that it's a venue! Downside: the parking situation is not great. But there is food nearby and the ticket prices (and fees) are reasonable. There is plenty to like and lots of reasons to come back. read more

It's been years since I've been to a concert venue, over a decade in fact. Set It Off was headlining here along with Super Whatevr, L.I.F.T., and With Confidence. The whole household was very excited, and while I was more concerned with when I was going to get to bed, I had a good time. First off, parking? Or should I say lack thereof. Their website says that there are two gravel lots up the hill. I think a picture on their website would be nice, because I more or less had to guess where to park and hope my car didn't get towed while being a good hour and a half away from home. Fortunately it was still there at the end of the night, but the anxiety was definitely in the back of my mind. Bar in the back, stage up front, a nice patio for people to smoke/vape/drink, or if you're me just cool down a bit. It's a concert, it's going to get warm in there! The floor and bar was pretty clean, and the acoustics were very satisfying. Some of the bands were having some mic level issues, but that's on their engineer, not the venue. The bathrooms were, well lets just say it leaves a bit to be desired but at least they were relatively clean. No door to the bathroom and one of the security guys will be watching you, presumably to make sure there's no illicit activity going on. I get it, the venue is open to liability if something were to happen to someone while on site. Despite the weird parking, if you take the back road far behind The Blind Tiger, it's a straight shot to the Sheetz down the road! So keep that in mind if you want to beat all the other concertgoers there (and you need to beat 'em, that Sheetz gets hit HARD after a concert). Sometimes good things come in small packages. Hangar 1819 - Super Whatevr, opening for Set it Off - Music Venues Near Me - Greensboro, North Carolina

A Sunday night is a bit of an odd time for a concert, but we all really wanted to see this band (Set It Off) and the tickets were affordable so up the road we went to Greensboro and The Blind Tiger. Similar to the Fillmore in Charlotte but a bit smaller, the inside is 90% open floor for general admission style shows. Bar in the back, stage to the right, patio to the left, bathrooms to either side of the stage. Didn't really go out to the patio myself but the weather was nice enough they left the doors open all night. The breeze from outside was a godsend in a club full of a couple hundred folks jumping and singing. The few members of the staff I interacted with were super polite, we even joked with the security as we made our way inside. The guys and gals setting up the stage and lights were all on point as well and with the exception of the speakers being blown out for the first song everyone sounded great. Only real complaint is the parking situation. To get to the only nearby parking you have to drive up two hills past a tiny church to reach these little gravel lots that barely hold any cars (everywhere else is a tow zone). All in all it was a fun, loud evening and I would certainly see a show here again. read more

This was a great night out for me!! David Allen Coe was playing and the crowd was good. Now, that being said not everyone will like it here. One reason is that there are no chairs, unless you book them in advance for $$$$$. It is a stand up concert place. Second, concrete floor that is hard on your legs after standing for 4-5 hours. The music is also very loud, which I like, but maybe some of you can benefit using earplugs. Outside there is a small patio with tables and chairs, mainly to smoke there. There is no food available. So eat before going! The drink prices are fair $5 for domestic beer, for example. I also need to mention the tremendous support for our injured vets. I had no issue getting a chair for my hubby. This venue is now Hangar 1819. I've been to two shows since they came under new management - the first one was the night they reopened, the second one was last night. Both times the sound was completely awful, all low end. You cannot hear anyone's guitar - only drums and bass. Extraordinarily disappointing both times. I threw a birthday party for my wife at The Blind Tiger. Everyone there, from the enormous security guy to Doc and the rest behind the bar were top notch! I'm no epidemiologist so I don't know if any event is a "super spreader", and neither does the cranky self important fool who claimed Blind Tiger caused one, but I do know that they took every precaution to make sure everyone who was really concerned about their 99.9% chance of surviving Covid was in as safe an environment as possible. They followed every regulation regardless of how much logical sense it makes. Thanks Blind Tiger for a great time! read more

PARKING SCAM-- BEWARE!!! We came to the show at the Blind Tiger this past Friday November 12, 2021 We were routed by a person sitting outside The Blind Tiger to park behind the bar along with many other cars. We came out after purchasing merchandise at the show about an hour later and our car along with every other car but one was gone from the lot- tow truck in live action removing the last car. I thought I was in the wrong lot for a minute because the FULL lot was empty. I could understand the fb post that the Blind Tiger posted on Saturday AFTER the event but some had directed us to park in that lot. We were directed to park in this lot by WHO??? So sad that this racket goes on. We had to Uber to the tow service and pay $250 to get our car- we didn't even get to see that band that we had bought tickets to see. I guess we got lucky that we came out while the tow truck was there so we knew what tow service to have the Uber take us to. Needless to say, we won't ever come back to your venue. Whether it is your scam or Spectrum's scam or the tow service's scam- its a shame that you ,The Blind Tiger, AFTER THE FACT put a FB post blaming your patrons for parking illegally. I'm sure this is not the first time that this scam has happened based on what I've been hearing but I'm super disappointed. read more

Our experience was exemplary and the show was fantastic! Everything and everyone from staff to performers were on point all night, until the very end. A presumed bartender named Natasha overcharged one of our guests for four drinks amounting to over 20 dollars, more than the price of the ticket. The bartender proceeded to yell over his polite disagreement to seek him removed from the bar. We took solace in the fact that even the security seemed to know she was out of line and even apologized to our group. That being said, I spoke with several others outside of the venue after the end of the event who had very similar experiences with the same person. This is is my reason for a low rating, even if you have a wonderful establishment, if you hire aggressive, people who attempt to steal from your customers they won't stay long. I certainly hope that if I return my experience is different as there was a lot of fun to be he had beyond what happened needlessly. read more

Security guy with the green bay hat had no professional bearing, he was rude, pushed people out of the way when moving around, complained all night about how it wasn't time to leave yet and ripped a girl off the dance floor for using her eucalyptus inhaler. The female security guard actually did her job in a professional manner you need employees like her. We've been to the new Blind Tiger now twice in less than a month after a hiatus of at least a couple years from the old location. There are several reasons why we are fans again of the BT. Those who are familiar with the old location at the Elam and Walker Street intersection, will remember a noble but very dated venue. Years of use (and abuse) had left it feeling dirty and grimy with well worn floors, bar surfaces and just about every other square foot within reach. The restrooms became an adventure in themselves and trying to get a drink during busy times was just painful. Just getting in was a chore with limited parking in the area. The new location on Spring Garden is a vast improvement. For starters, it is just significantly larger and more roomy. The stage is definitely bigger and the area for the sound board is logically placed. Along with the extra footage comes a longer bar and bigger, cleaner restrooms. There is a good sized outdoor smoking area for those craving a nicotine fix, as well. Parking is better though not totally sufficient. The band quality is at least as good if not better than the old venue and the new and bigger layout allows you to enjoy their performances more. You have more room to maneuver and dance without having to deal with a mosh pit. The comment my girlfriend made was that it now feels more like a music venue first and a bar second. As far as prices go, band tickets seem to range from $8 - $25 depending on the act and there is a couple dollar service charge if you buy online from their web page. Drink prices are higher than a bar-only location but significantly cheaper than most music venues I've been to. I'm looking forward to seeing more shows again at The Blind Tiger. read more

Great place to see up and coming artist up close and personal. First visit was tonight to see Brandy Clark and Charlie Worsham. I had never heard of Charlie but he is an excellent singer. Both singers were within a few feet of us as they sang there songs. Not a lot of places to sit so either buy a table for the night or don't fuss and complain when your feet start to hurt after hours of standing on them. All in all a great venue to see and hear some great music! I would definitely recommend this place! read more

This is a new location. I have only been to the old Blind Tiger a couple times and I am not from Greensboro so I have no attachment to the old Blind Tiger like some locals do. The new place is a lot nicer. Everything is new and the sound in there sounds real nice. I took a peek at the soundboard and my non-professional eyes thought it was pretty sweet. While this venue brings bands that you will go see, there are several factors that you should be aware of in order to make your experience that much more memorable. This place has a cover price to get in, unless you have already bought you ticket - if this option is available. It was credit card friendly the last time I had to use plastic at the door. Maybe bring cash instead if you don't have a ticket. Fair to average stage space, and standing room. Two bathrooms, each on either side of the stage. The outdoor patio is large enough for perhaps 30 to 40 people, comfortably... there are tables which for the most part, take up a lot of space that could instead serve as standing room. The floor is not desirable to stand on, inside and outside. You guessed it. Concrete. If you are not used to standing for a long period of time, the next day you will have an almost "shin-splint" sensation in your legs - take about a day or 2 to get over it. Being that the floor is concrete, the potential hazard of spilled drink creates a slippery footing. Ladies, be careful while wearing heels. During the busy shows, the bartenders tend to over-serve. Be careful, you don't need to drive home inebriated... Word of advice, bring ear plugs. Whether the band has their own sound guy and have brought their own sound gear, or if the band uses the "house" sound engineer on the "house" system, does not make a difference... wear your ear plugs if you are going to stand on the right or left side of the stage. You know.. right by the speakers... Parking is sketchy. Leave the venue at the very least as a pair if you leave before the show has ended. That's all I have. read more

NATASHA IS WASTING AIR MY KIDS SHOULD BE BREATHING, Great show terrible staff.... confronted the bartender about my tab being overcharged waited over twenty minutes at an empty bar just to speak with a manager (natasha) ,a real c u next Tuesday. Once she finally arrived I was recieved with condescending tones and disbelieving looks, making it clear almost immediately I would receive no help. AFTER being told to leave the remorseful bouncers ,who had witnessed the situation, told me that this has become the norm for this establishment and a rational conversation, at least with this ice queen, should not be expected. read more

Owner or manager was super helpful, and seemed to genuinely care about our experience. Short girl tending bar was super friendly and helpful. Albeit Blind Tiger has a great sound system, the staff are extremely rude. For example, their persistence that I was 16 years old and couldn't drink (I'm 25 with a beard) and rolling their eyes when asking for water. In addition, the staff closed my tab as soon as the concert was over, and left themselves a hefty tip. I hope this was an isolated incident. My friends and were not pleased and have a number of other venues to attend. read more

For customer service at this place is some of the worst ever. Love the music. But the drinks are ridiculous..as a career bartender, it is offensive to spend $60 on drinks per person per couple of hours and not blow on a breathalyzer. Everyone says it's bad.. It's not if it's being watered down, it's that it is to the extreme...wanna see the bands, if there was another place to go! I would not go back based on the bartenders being so rude. Will never order anything there again except a $3 bottled water that doesn't require a tip! ..Just a shame because it is an enjoyable atmosphere and crowd seems good. I returned to Blind Tiger for New Year's Eve, and despite only being a few days since my last time there, my experience warranted an updated review. First off, the show was great. The Mantras were a great choice to bring in the new year, and both of the openers were solid performances as well. The music started before I arrived and continued until almost 2:30am. By the time The Mantras took the stage, there was a sizable crowd present, but no so large of a crowd that I felt cramped--there was always room to move and dance a bit. Now, the primary reason I'm updating this review is because when I left that night, I forgot to close my tab and get my card back. I was about 20 minutes away from the Tiger when I realized this, so I instantly called them to say I was coming back for it. It was about 3:40am by the time I made it back, and when I arrived I ran into someone outside who had my card waiting for me. Typically, this is something you'd wait until the next day to do, but that wasn't an option for a few reasons: (1) I live 2 hours from the Tiger and needed my card to get gas to get home, (2) they were going to be closed the next day (the 1st), (3) even if I got a hold of friends in town to crash with them, I had work well before the Tiger reopened on the 2nd, so I'd have to miss a day of work just to pick up my card. In short, I was kinda screwed if I couldn't get my card that night, so I was very appreciative they let me get it after hours. After confirming I was the owner of the card, they returned it and my receipt to me. The tip that was added on was only $1. I only had one drink, so that was 20% (which is typical on tabs that aren't closed out), but it was actually less than I would've tipped (regardless of percentage, tipping less than $2 always feels like a dick move to me), so I felt bad about that bit. So, for them being helpful and understanding about getting me my card back that night, I'm definitely going to make it a point to return to the Blind Tiger. read more

Don't waste your money on this place who doesn't value their paying customers!!!! i went to a show for a rapper and the staff they hired was gross humans. First I was at the bar and opened a tab when a guy with a blue flag rapped around his head yelled at me and told me I couldn't stand there all night and needed to move. i had wasted a drink on my very nice and not cheap shirt and he tried to use that against me once I reported him to the security outside... They was no better they only threaten to personal take me out even though I remained calm... It was gross to be treated so bad when I don't act in the way they wanted me to! i went outside for fresh air and they told me I couldn't come back in even though they watched be walk out and stand by the door and had a vip wristband ( went outside to cry ) I was shocked i suffer from depression and have no friends in greenboro and was only looking to get out and have fun while out alone . i was attacked and treated like shit! .never spending my money here in this ghetto place And once the lights came on 3 fight broke out read more

Really want to love this place as it has so much potential. Alas, though, more times than not, the staff has been rude, the cover overpriced, and the crowd so-so. Usually decent to good bands which make the experience bearable. My most recent experience was not-so-great as I had several guests from out of town visiting. We had gone to a few bars on Elam and Walker Street earlier in the evening and wanted to close out the evening at Blind Tiger. We showed up just after 1 am - just enough time to grab one or two rounds - and were asked to pay full cover @ $20 per person. (or $100 for our group of 5... we'd rather spend it on liquor... either way, they would have gotten their money) During the conversation, the band made the announcement that it was the last song for the evening, and the door staff said that we could then get in for $15 each. Still not OK. We walked away and finished the night at College Hill with a not-so-fresh feeling from the experience! #fail read more

I stumbled upon this place thinking it had some affiliation with the NYC bar of the same name (no relation). The beer selection was still diverse enough to make my stay worthwhile, and the main event kept me in until closing time. The room is giant and has great acoustics, especially once the room starts filling up with people. Would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the Greensboro area. read more

While just passing by the tiger, I saw that Kings X was playing that very night so we decided to go. The show was not sold out and we paid the 25 dollar cover to get in. I thought that was a fair admission to see a once very popular band with many released albums and all the original members still intact. The venue was nicely set up for concerts, with a good sized stage and plenty of room in front of it to watch the bands. Drink service was good, and there was a nice crowd of people here. A very good place to see a live act in a pretty intimate setting. The show was awesome and I would come back here anytime. read more
