This is a beautiful venue and it has so much great potential. Well stocked bar in the foyer space, elevated decor, and event better location. Given the right decisions this could be one of the best spots in Greensboro. However based on the shows booked and overall vibe of staff and patrons it does seem like a place that intends to cater to all audiences. I would to see show Soul and RnB bookings, something to expand and diversify the customer base

Told the bartender to make me a drink and he delivered! It was smooth well mix and taste amazing first time telling the bartender to surprise me and it went well. Definitely recommend if you're in downtown Greensboro

Very excited to check out The Pyrle on opening night. This multi level live music venue is located in the heart of downtown Greensboro in the former Triad Stage space on Elm Street. Be prepared for metal detectors at the door so leave your junk at home but don't forget your ear pro! There is ample, well lit floor space in front of the stage, 2nd level mezzanine seating, and an additional VIP section. There is a large central bar in the lobby area, small bar window upstairs, and another large bar on the bottom floor. Bathrooms on all 3 levels. We love live music but always dread the long drive to Charlotte or Raleigh. We are tickled to have a shiny, brand new venue close to home! Bonus, there are several great restaurants within walking distance to grab dinner before a show. We grabbed quick slices at L'Italiano across the street. If you timed it right, you could spring for a delicious dinner at Blue Denin or yummy Crafted tacos. You could grab a sub at Jimmy John or walk a few blocks to Natty Greens, Mellow Mushroom, Bonchon, and many more. Dear Dads is getting ready to open across the street soon. Excited to check them out. With so many good restaurants recently closing downtown, hopefully this new beautiful venue will help bring more patrons to our much loved local spots. We are definitely looking forward to more live music!

Had my first visit here last night all thanks to Yelp events!…read more I love how they have remodeled from previous tenants. Industrial/rustic type atmosphere. The auditorium can be customized for any even from cocktail tables to standing room only. They have balcony/pew seating on second level. And they have a lounge to order drinks. Parking available is street parking or nearby parking deck. Security was good but not overbearing. Sound quality to my taste was good, not extremely loud but very clear. Look forward to my next event here.

Attended a Morgan Wallen concert on a Thursday night at Cone Denim. Had to wait a while to get in…read moreafter doors opened. It was a 35 degree evening so that was unpleasant. It did seem like efforts were being made to get people in as quickly as possible while still checking IDs and completing a security check. As others have mentioned, the venue is pretty narrow. In light of recent events, I had some concerns about how to respond in case of an emergency. Those quelled eventually but it was my first thought coming in. Sound and lighting were good. The floor has just enough of a slope that I didn't feel bad about blocking someone else's view. As with most places, if you're in the front and you need to get a drink or go to the bathroom, getting back to your group is going to be next to impossible. There definitely aren't designated aisles or pathways to allow for crowd movement. Beer prices were reasonable given the venue/event. Tallboys help prevent having to return to the bar frequently. Best to go to the bathrooms upstairs as they are much larger. I'd go back to an even at Cone Denim.

Steven Tanger Center For The Performing Arts - Having cocktail during intermission

The Performing Arts Center hosts many events, from the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra to touring Broadway shows, concerts, comedy shows and discussions. The Tanger Center has a parking lot available for performances, and there is street parking and a few nearby parking garages. With Greensboro taking down two garages, it might be a little more challenging to find a space. When you arrive, ticket scanning and a security check are first. I am glad they finally clarified the bag policy to just one rather than three different policies. Phillips Hall is impressive with its high ceilings (3 stories) and a large glass window. It is 8,000 square feet and has porcelain staircases on both sides and elevators in the center. The concessions are in front of the window and under the stairs, so it is a shame that the architectural view is blocked. There are high-top tables in the center for your food and beverages. But I do not remember seeing any seating with the tables. The women's restroom on the first floor is large, with many stalls, extending from one side of the theatre to the other. I like that you can also see whether they are occupied or vacant. Staff have been very pleasant and helpful, from finding where you need to be seated to the Prelude Dining before performances. Seating is on three levels; the orchestra and the Grand Tier can be entered from the main level. The Loge is the balcony on the third level, and elevators are available from the lobby. I've had tickets for the orchestra in various sections, the grand tier and the grand tier boxes and learned where I prefer. It is also very easy to leave after the performances with multiple exits. The Tanger Center is a great addition to Downtown Greensboro that knows how to handle large-scale events.

Case in point at the Blue Man Group show - I was on the front row of the Grand Tier Center section. I climbed the steps (followed the signs) and showed her my ticket. She told me when the doors opened I could use that entrance, but I would have to go down all of the levels of that seating area. She suggested I use the Orchestra level entry, and then I would only have to go up the stairs once to my seat. I appreciated the advice. Audio and visual effects were top grade. Seating was comfortable, and interior had a modern yet elegant decor. Very pleasant experience.
