Full disclosure: this was a doordash order. That said, it arrived in a timely manner, so I don't think that reflects upon my review. I generally don't like to give a restaurant below 3 stars, but this was just...not good. I ordered based on the doordash reviews, which gave 4.8/5. I purchased fried rice, spare ribs, and a shrimp egg roll. I'm giving the restaurant 2 stars because I did get exactly what I ordered. Unfortunately, this was probably the most flavorless Chinese food I've ever tasted. My egg roll had cabbage and 2 shrimp...but no seasoning. (I will say that the shrimp were nice-sized though.) My fried rice had no egg and far too much onion. The spare ribs were tough and had very little meat. They didn't send any orange or soy sauce to assist with the lack of flavor. Hopefully this was just a bad day, but given my experience, I would not recommend Hang Yuen. (I'll include a photo of the paltry spare rib.) read more

Friendly, fresh, and fast. I really enjoyed this place. Generous portions and nice efficient service. I walked in to order my food and was out in about ten minutes. The food was not greasy at all, and it all tasted very rich and flavorful. I felt like this was a little bit of a higher quality than many other Chinese places. It is not far from my home, but it is hard to find if you aren't looking for it, tucked away into the back corner of a bland looking strip-mall area. But don't let that fool you. Our new favorite place for takeout. We have had this place twice now & they are consistent and tasty. The general tsos is good with no hard chewy pieces. We did order veggie egg rolls both times and last visit they tasted like plastic! Like something had been dropped in the fryer, they did not taste like that before & I think it was a one time thing. We will try it again. Fair prices for the portion sizes. Yummy lo mein & wonton soup. We used to often go to Lucky Star in north canton but have decided to switch it up & will probably stay with this place. We tried the fried shrimp last time and it was the best I've had in a while. read more

Most of their food is very good. But their crab rangoon taste like cardboard. They fold them over to many times before frying and they don't get crispy and flaky. They should probably just fold them over once. read more

We have loved Hang Yuens for many years. That being said I had to drop down our review because last night we ordered our regular--General Tso's chicken. It was phenomenal as always, but they have started putting the rice in the same container as the chicken--which reduces portions considerably. Also, there wasn't nearly as much filling in the Crab Rangoon as in the past. We have ordered from here at least 30 times. I wonder if management changed?? read more

Hang Yuen has been a family favorite for years. Yet, just today I had a terrible experience. Ordering our typical items, I picked up our food and took it home for a family meal. I was enjoying the General Tso Combination dinner, when I saw what at first was a gray looking onion slice. But, when I touched it with my chopsticks it was hard. It then became apparent that it was a bug- either a stink bug or an assassin's bug. I instantly lost my appetite. When I called the restaurant, I was told that I would need to bring the food in and that they would make me another. So, I had to drive through rush hour traffic, in the middle of a meal with my family, to return the food and to prove I found a bug in it. When I got to Hang Yuen's, the manager told me they would make me another; however, I honestly wasn't interested in eating any more of their food after finding the bug. The manager offered my money back for the combination dinner, but not for the rest of the meal. I suppose I should have returned all of the food? But, I was under the impression that restaurants automatically make you new food and offer a complete refund when these types of situations occur. I was dissatisfied with how this was handled, and will not be returning to Hang Yuen anytime soon. read more

Best Chinese Take Out in the area! The people are always friendly, and the food is great! Prices are decent, and you get generous portions. I love their hot and sour soup, and house lo mein is another favorite. I have tried several things on the menu and everything is always good. There are a few places closer to where I live, but I always opt to drive into North Canton because the food is just better from Hang Yuen! read more
