I love Jasmine. That is all. I miss the 30th street location so much! But I'm so glad this location exists. I love the sushi, the chicken coconut soup, the Thai basil chicken, the sweet and sour chicken, just to name a few. And all of the sushi I've tried is fresh and fantastic. The service has always been friendly and attentive. Beautifully decorated inside, and they have a lovely room for bigger parties. Can't wait for my next visit....which is in 4 days.... We've ordered for years from the restaurant on 30th Street. Now that it's closed this is our first time at the Belden Village location for carryout. The restaurant looks like it's decorated nicely and the meal was ready promptly. The food is the same as it was at the other restaurant. The egg rolls were crispy and the salad was tasty with the ginger dressing. My wife had the "mango tango" which was made with mangos, and warious other veggies. There was abundant chicken and shrimp in a sauce. I had the walnut shrimp. There were about 8 or so moderately large breaded shrimp with a mayo based sauce. The fact that I've ordered this dish many times speaks to how much I like this creation. Both meals were accompanied by fried rice that was an excellent choice. We ordered the tempura shrimp and veggies and the lettuce wrap for appetizers. Lettuce wrap was good. tempura needed to get a bit crisper. The teriyaki chicken was ok, but a bit bland. My husband ordered the Hawaii 5-0. He liked it, but wouldn't go back for it. We both got fried rice as a side, unfortunately it was the worst fried rice we ever tasted. I'm so happy to have a good Chinese restaurant close by. This is located in Thursday's Plaza, we used to have to drive all the way to their 30th St. location. There is an outdoor patio area however he would not allow us to bring our little tiny dog which didn't make me happy... but it's his restaurant! All three of us enjoyed our meals. We started out with the gyoza (pork potstickers) which were tender and quite tasty. Our three entrées were Sambal sauce with chicken, Yaki udon with beef and Fried rice with shrimp. All three of us loved our meals and would order them again. Serving sizes are quite substantial, we each took food home and had it for lunch the next day. Our waitress was darling. Jasmine's has long been our go to for sushi. IMO it has simply been the best in the area and even among those we've had while traveling. That being said, our order on NYE puzzled me a bit. Two of our salmonella rolls - most notably the "Amazing Salmon Roll" which is a chef's special roll- were a really odd fake red color. My son described it as the red coloring of the Red Hot Cheetos which was a spot on description. I'm not sure what's going on with the salmon but I hope it's not permanent. Aside from this most recent experience I would rate them a 5. Sushi is expensive enough because we often order for 4 or more so when a couple main entree favorites are not good as usual it leaves me feeling less confident about the rest of the order quality. read more

Badil- they ruined the fresh basil. It was cooked, not left raw. Chicken- yes. So no heat. This is classically spicy. Supposed to be. All salt. I don't recommend this dish there. read more

We were excited to try a new Chinese place that we had heard pretty good things about (they have another location). We do not eat out right now inside a restaurant, but have been trying to support by getting curbside and to go. This restaurant does not offer curbside, but it does do to go orders. The person that took the order did not know what vegetables came in the certain dishes I was questioning, however, they may have been new and they did find out for me. The food overall was good. I wasn't a huge fan of the types of veggies they use, and was actually kind of disappointed to see that they do not offer Kung pao chicken (this is always one of my favorites). I tried the teriyaki chicken and the sauce was pretty good. Also tried the chicken satay. The peanut sauce that came with it was pretty good. A little thick, but overall very good. We will go back again for sure. You could tell the vegetables were fresh, and the quality was there. read more

I have to say, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, service Wise. Yin was our waitress, I ended up finding out that she is actually the owner of this restaurant which is even worse. I asked her for a kids menu so I could get some easy to eat food for my 2, 9 month old twins, she responded that kids normally just order rice or noodles. Not super impressed that that is all they serve for kids, but we ordered the rice. Approximately 50 minutes later, our food was brought out. Our dishes tasted fine, just like normal, and obviously the kids did make a bit of a mess because of their age. She walked up to the table and embarrassed my wife horribly. She was clearly upset and made it known to us that she was upset about the mess. I included a picture of this "mess" she was mad about. My sister, who was with is, ended up cleaning it up for Yin. After all of the attitude that she gave my family, I just asked for some to go boxes and the check. It took her probably another 5-10 min to bring these items to us. Once I had the check, I ended up having to walk up to the front counter approximately 5-10 min later and pay because Yin did not come back to our table after she brought us the box's and check. I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day, but this was horribly unacceptable. Especially since my entire table probably spent over $300. After going to this restaurant in the original one for years, I won't ever step back into that place, unless they reach out to me personally and apologize. read more

What a horrible experience. Not only did our waiter NOT know what options the restaurant had to accommodate food allergies... they messed up our order (twice) and made us pay for it. When brining out the wrong food (Pad Thai) and leaving it at the table (insisting it's what we ordered), our oldest son was still hungry and started to nibble on the Pad Thai. Then the waiter came back and said the manager did non want us eating that food, and that he wanted to take it back... In the middle of a pandemic... Expected to take the wrong dish off the table. The manager then came out to let the table know it was "our fault" and then never took the wrong food off the bill. He made the correct meal and still made us pay every cent. Not even offering to make it right. Even after we told our waiter that he never comped it (in which the waiter was even stunned). I used to love the place years ago, but I would avoid Jasmines at all cost. What a disaster. Bad management to say the least. read more

I was excited to try this restaurant. I've heard great reviews about the 30th street location. The restaurant is beautiful! The hostess was friendly and helpful and this is where my positive experience ends. There were four tables seated, mine being one of the four. There were two servers working. We waited forever, 25 minutes after putting our menus down, after getting our tea. The hostess explained the bonus box lunch selections, the waitress never did. When my sister mistakenly asked for "brown rice", the waitress snorted and stated "we don't serve brown rice, we have white and fried!" Strike one. I ordered tempura and stated I did not want the soup or green salad and would like the tempura with the appetizers. Another snort. Strike two. I ordered curry, my all time favorite meal. The fried rice had no taste, the egg roll only after I doused it in duck sauce, the curry was awful. It tasted as though it had been made with a curry paste and thinned with water. The waitress never returned to ask about our food and I had to flag down the other server to request a bill. I will not return, I am not only disappointed but a little angry that a $45 lunch was so awful. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

Really wanted this to be good, but it was awful. I'm a huge supporter of independent places and they make you long for Applebee's. We waited 35 minutes for drinks, the chicken satay was just a piece of chicken breast on a stick, food was cold 1.5 hours after we ordered, bills were wrong and tgen the waitress and manager said I should have told them my meal, which I had already sent back once needed redone a 3rd time. Had a reservation for 10 at 6:30 last night. Was seated right away. Waitress took our drink and appetizer orders. Another party of about 10 was seated about 30 minutes after us. They received their food before we did. Which was around 8:00.Still no main courses. Their food was cold. In the meanwhile our waitress disappeared for about 45 minutes. Was told at the bar we could only order drinks from our waitress. So no food or drinks. We finally received our food around 8:30. COLD!!!! Sent our food back , it came back cold again. Talked to the manager? Told him I wasn't paying for mine. He immediately snatched it away like I was going to keep it. No thank you. They had a lot of excuses but a two and half hour wait for cold food is ridiculous. We will never be back. Ended up leaving hungry,thirsty and angry. We have been trying to support our local restaurants to try to keep them open. We love the 30th street location of Jasmine. The new location on Dressler is beautiful inside, but not ready to serve dinner. We are usually very patient and understanding, but this new (6-8 weeks) location shouldn't have opened yet. There were 6 in our party, celebrating a birthday. We were seated and it was nearly 15 minutes before our waiter took our drink order. The glasses of water came quickly, but the drinks from the bar took forever. We ordered our appetizers and dinner at the same time to make it easier for the kitchen. The appetizers came out in a timely manner, but we were told that they didn't have any small plates. The appetizers were delicious. Then after another long wait we received our dinner. The dinner was served except that 2 people in our party didn't get their fried rice. The waiter promised it was coming very soon. Both the meals were incomplete without the rice. 10 minutes later the rice came out, and by this time the meals were cold. Very disappointed. Save yourself a trip, and a headache. I have enjoyed everything I've had at Jasmine's. I'm not into sushi so I can't speak about that. But service and food has been excellent.

All I got to say is don't get sushi in Canton. In general they have mediocre Asian cuisine. I got the dynamite roll and is just tasted bland nothing special. They did too much to the sushi but it was still lacking flavor. I do give them props for the presentation. The only good roll I could say didn't even have fish in it and it was the sweet potato roll. The soups were a disappointment. The server said it was pipping hot but in reality it was lukewarm. And eight dollars for a small bowl of hot and sour is ridiculous. Now to the entrees I got beef lo mein which was okay just a bit too greasy was trying to separate the grease from the noodles. The sweet and sour chicken was okay too just basic tasted like the food court at the mall. The fried rice was bad it was too mushy didn't eat it. Overall the food was edible nothing special lol won't come again but the service was good. read more
