    Egg rolls

We've ordered for years from the restaurant on 30th Street. Now that it's closed this is our first time at the Belden Village location for carryout. The restaurant looks like it's decorated nicely and the meal was ready promptly. The food is the same as it was at the other restaurant. The egg rolls were crispy and the salad was tasty with the ginger dressing. My wife had the "mango tango" which was made with mangos, and warious other veggies. There was abundant chicken and shrimp in a sauce. I had the walnut shrimp. There were about 8 or so moderately large breaded shrimp with a mayo based sauce. The fact that I've ordered this dish many times speaks to how much I like this creation. Both meals were accompanied by fried rice that was an excellent choice. All in all, I'd recommend this restaurant.

I'm so happy to have a good Chinese restaurant close by. This is located in Thursday's Plaza, we used to have to drive all the way to their 30th St. location. There is an outdoor patio area however he would not allow us to bring our little tiny dog which didn't make me happy... but it's his restaurant! All three of us enjoyed our meals. We started out with the gyoza (pork potstickers) which were tender and quite tasty. Our three entrées were Sambal sauce with chicken, Yaki udon with beef and Fried rice with shrimp. All three of us loved our meals and would order them again. Serving sizes are quite substantial, we each took food home and had it for lunch the next day. Our waitress was darling. She was very polite and helpful. We will definitely go back again!

Jasmine's has long been our go to for sushi. IMO it has simply been the best in the area and even among those we've had while traveling. That being said, our order on NYE puzzled me a bit. Two of our salmonella rolls - most notably the "Amazing Salmon Roll" which is a chef's special roll- were a really odd fake red color. My son described it as the red coloring of the Red Hot Cheetos which was a spot on description. I'm not sure what's going on with the salmon but I hope it's not permanent. Aside from this most recent experience I would rate them a 5. Sushi is expensive enough because we often order for 4 or more so when a couple main entree favorites are not good as usual it leaves me feeling less confident about the rest of the order quality.

Fresh dishes from sushi to teriyaki! The sake was amazing and the service was phenomenal!

I have to say, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, service Wise. Yin was our waitress, I ended up finding out that she is actually the owner of this restaurant which is even worse. I asked her for a kids menu so I could get some easy to eat food for my 2, 9 month old twins, she responded that kids normally just order rice or noodles. Not super impressed that that is all they serve for kids, but we ordered the rice. Approximately 50 minutes later, our food was brought out. Our dishes tasted fine, just like normal, and obviously the kids did make a bit of a mess because of their age. She walked up to the table and embarrassed my wife horribly. She was clearly upset and made it known to us that she was upset about the mess. I included a picture of this "mess" she was mad about. My sister, who was with is, ended up cleaning it up for Yin. After all of the attitude that she gave my family, I just asked for some to go boxes and the check. It took her probably another 5-10 min to bring these items to us. Once I had the check, I ended up having to walk up to the front counter approximately 5-10 min later and pay because Yin did not come back to our table after she brought us the box's and check. I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day, but this was horribly unacceptable. Especially since my entire table probably spent over $300. After going to this restaurant in the original one for years, I won't ever step back into that place, unless they reach out to me personally and apologize.

We were excited to try a new Chinese place that we had heard pretty good things about (they have another location). We do not eat out right now inside a restaurant, but have been trying to support by getting curbside and to go. This restaurant does not offer curbside, but it does do to go orders. The person that took the order did not know what vegetables came in the certain dishes I was questioning, however, they may have been new and they did find out for me. The food overall was good. I wasn't a huge fan of the types of veggies they use, and was actually kind of disappointed to see that they do not offer Kung pao chicken (this is always one of my favorites). I tried the teriyaki chicken and the sauce was pretty good. Also tried the chicken satay. The peanut sauce that came with it was pretty good. A little thick, but overall very good. We will go back again for sure. You could tell the vegetables were fresh, and the quality was there.

Photos and reviews of this place are scarce so I just went in on a wing and a prayer to pick up my chicken pad thai to go order, which was ready about 20 minutes after I called it in. For only $9.75, I was given a pretty good size portion of my noodle-y craving with plenty of Jalapeño, peanut crumbles, and a scattering of bean sprouts. I took the peppers off, of course, and dug in. While I wish there were more bean sprouts (and any other vegetable associated with pad thai), I enjoyed the sugary sweetness of the sauce and the salty flavor added from msg and the peanuts. The sauce isn't as sweet as other pad thai I have gotten in the past, which I am not sure if I like more or less haha. The chicken is what brought the dish down... the strips of chicken were truly nothing special. The lady working the counter provided good service, despite how busy the place was with to-go orders. She offered to staple my paper bag with the food and kindly allowed me to take lots of sauce packets and plastic silverware. It took me a year to finally order something from Mr. Chengs, but I am happy I finally did and enjoyed my lunch! I try not to eat portions as large as they give for lunch but I ate this all up!

First of all, the place is beautiful. You will want to stand and stare a minute when you first arrive, from the cherry blossoms overhead to the gorgeous art painted on the walls. We were welcomed immediately and seated quickly. Our waitress was attentive and efficient, again this was no small task with a bit group at a very busy time. She made great recommendations and we started with several appetizers for the table: Crab rangoon Mozzarella stick, Goyza, and crunchy rice with avocado. They were all good and cooked to perfection, but the Crab Rangoon Mozzarella sticks were show stoppers. This is fun fusion at its finest, and everyone agreed we could have just lived on those. We had to put in sushi orders early as there was a bit of a backup with the kitchen, but our server did a great job of keeping us informed about the timing and made all the entrees work out so people getting hot dishes got them at the same time as people who ordered cold dishes. I had the sora roll which is another great fashion dish with a simple tempura shrimp and avocado roll upscaled by adding thin slices of wagyu beef, spicy mayo and dark sweet soy. I loved the combo. My wife had the peking duck and said it was fantastic with a good bit of flavor and a hint of kick, cooked to perfection so it didn't get dry. My son had the mushroom risotto which he said was very flavorful, and carried a bit of asian spiciness. Other people at the table had sushi, the katsu chicken, and the crab fried rice. No one was disappointed! Finally my wife and I split the smoked creme brûlée and all I can say is, you should save room for dessert because this was a fantastic spin on a classic! The only thing I would note is that it's not a quiet restaurant. Do not expect to have a hushed or private conversation here, but even with the big group I could still hear everyone, so it's not like it's ear splitting or anything. Honestly, every part of this experience impressed me and I would love to go back next time I'm in town.

I had never really heard much about the food, but I found it to be pretty delicious. It's not a cheap dinner by any stretch and this is more of a special-occasion type of venue. It was my birthday and though I don't really like to celebrate (or admit to) my birthday anymore, it was a nice place to try. My family, party of six, was seated in a room upstairs by ourselves. Cool little private dining alcove, painted with dark walls and sexy, almost what I would consider Halloweenesque, decor. Yessss, now they are singing my SONG. Service was good. Don't expect to get bread or any added extras with your meal. Pretty straightforward. We did try a couple of their specialty cocktails. The "Black Moon Rising" cocktail was a fun novelty, served in a skull-shaped mug, but it was a little sweet for my taste. The "Fashionably Late" was solid (similar to an old fashioned). Many things on the menu did seem to have a degree of spiciness, and it is not really a place that children would find something that they love. My son had the portobello mushrooms, which were okayyyyy, but very garlicky and peppery for a five year old's taste. I had the lemon shrimp and rice, which was just delicious. I loved it. My son liked that too and I think he probably would have enjoyed another order of that more than what he ordered. The French onion soup was hearty and good. Someone else in our party had the steak, which I tasted (yum) and the mahi mahi, which I did not get to taste, so it MUST have been good. Slice of HUGE birthday cake for dessert. Pro tip: don't order coffee with dessert. The coffee is weak and not good for $4.50 a cup. Anyhow, overall, I think it was a good dining experience, although I might make some different choices next time. Oh, and it IS allegedly haunted, but the hostess, nor the server know the details of the stories. Something about a dentist and a murder and another story about a little girl. My curiousity is piqued. Maybe a year or two ago I had reached out via email about hosting an event here for my tour company and I think my clientele would enjoy the stories and the history behind it all! Itching for more.....

We were eager to check out Yummy Bowl because they specifically mentioned being similar to BD's. We came on a Friday at lunch and were immediately welcomed and asked if we'd been there before. We had not, and our server, Jane, was SO wonderful. She explained the menu, the process if you get the BYO Bowl, took our drink order, brought us our bowls and showed us the cards to fill out and take up with us. You put your name, table #, and rice choice. The choices are plentiful and there's something for everyone. Jane met us at the sauce section and helped us sample different sauces based on our preferences (I like sweet-n-sour and she recommended General Tso sauce which was exactly what I wanted). My Build Your Own Bowl: shrimp, crab, steak, & chicken, broccoli, onions, green peppers, pineapple, and mushrooms. Topped with seasoning and General Tso sauce. The food came within five minutes and was DELICIOUS! Jane checked on our son who asked for chopsticks and was so impressed at his ability to use them (he eats Ramen frequently and has mastered using chopsticks). Overall it was a superb dining experience. The food was amazing, the service was spectacular, the restaurant atmosphere was clean, friendly, and inviting.
