Several years ago I had tried no 1 kitchen when they came into town. It was pretty bad. Fast forward to today and I'm thinking - "how bad can it be?" I believed my memory to be somehow faulty. After ordering it and eating three bites - it was just as terrible as I remembered. The rice was gross. The general tsos inedible. Even the sweet and sour pork (how can you screw that up?) the breading was mushy. Tossed the whole thing in the dumpster where it belonged. read more

I love visiting Number 1 Kitchen. They're a fairly standard Chinese restaurant, offering the usual array of items you'd find anywhere else. Our orders are always 100% accurate, even when we make them complicated by asking for stuff to be not spicy or extra spicy. Every time we go in there are overly friendly, saying hi as soon as I walk in the door. I don't live far away so they've also started to know who I am, grabbing my order for me before I even have to say what I ordered. Personable staff, good food! read more

Pretty disappointed. Had good reviews, so my expectations were slightly elevated. The restaurant appeared very clean (surprising, I know) and crisp. But the food was borderline gross. I ordered gyoza and Szechuan chicken. The gyoza weren't even gyoza. WTF are these-just steamed dumplings with hot pocket mystery meat on the inside? These were not even fried. Why call them gyoza then? The Szechuan chicken was even worse. Took 2 bites and chucked the rest. Sauce was grainy and eerily reminiscent of ketchup. Yay Ketchup! if that's what you're into - then to each his own. Honestly tasted like it was finished in the microwave. Anyway, no sense in beating a dead horse. I'll never be back. I'll stick to New Style Chinese. It's nothing to shout about, but it's better than this place. read more

stopped in Wadsworth at the #1 (NOT) kitchen ordered a hot and sour soup. Did not resemble a soup flavors not hot or sour but sweet. just terrible. Main entree curry shrimp, worse. Shrimp were all different textures, very closet to being rotten and no curry flavor, rice was perfect, Returned the soup fora refund and gave the shrimp to a raccoon. JUST HORRIBLE 9NOT) read more

Sushi isn't as good as when they first opened, they seem to have problems getting/keeping a good Sushi Chef. They were putting smelly Salmon Eggs on the Sushi until we told them to stop and throw out the spoiled Salmon Eggs. They also sprinkle Multi-colored (rainbow colors) Candy Sprinkles on the Rainbow Roll unless you instruct them not to (we forgot tonight, picture below) WEIRD!! I've never had a Sushi Chef do this before anywhere! The Chinese food here is pretty good although there is a dish with Lobster and it's always way overcooked. read more

My husband and I tried them for the first time, picked up our order and when we got home and was serving out the soup, there were long black hairs in the soup and dead small flies all throughout the soup, visible and just all throughout! He went back to return the food and the lady was more than happy to refund, no questions asked like this thing happened all the time. I will only order from Great Wall in Lodi or even New Style in Wadsworth, it's sad because I'd love to buy in my own community but NO THANK YOU! Beware. Yikes!! read more

Absolutely disgusting. Was completely excited to see another restaurant in wadsworth to compete with the other Asian cuisine. Ordered take out. Kung pao chicken and sesame chicken. Guy on the phone had the worst attitude ever. No "thank you for ordering" Or "this is your total". Just "15 minutes" Mind you, he spoke perfect English. Got to the restaurant. (Which doesn't offer delivery- all the other places do... so to not have delivery, I would hope their food and service would be immaculate to compete and stay in business). And there isn't parking Guy in the bag hands me a bag and says "$23.01" no please. No thank you. No confirmation that I ordered what was in the bag. Took food home. Kung pao chicken wasn't special. Wasn't bad. Sesame chicken was nasty. Could taste the grease pour out of the batter on the chicken underneath the sesame sauce. Bummed too bc they sell sushi. Never again. Don't go here. Terrible service and food. close to the door. So walking in frigid Ohio weather isn't fun to get your food. read more

Extremely clean. Fast service. Good value pricing. Food was fresh and exactly what you expect from a typical Chinese takeout. I will have to try the sushi next time (now that I've seen how clean it is). Seemed to be family owned and operated. First visit, everything was very good. Shrimp roll had actual shrimp inside, not just tiny pieces.

This place was awesome, got done drinking beer down the street and wanted something good to eat. The hot sour soup was delicious. As was the streamed dumplings. I as the manager how fresh the sushi was and it's a 24 hr. Refresh so I felt comfortable eating. They made it right in front of me it was good! read more

Sushi is wonderful for the price point. 3 basic-ish rolls for $9.99, but plenty to choose from, and tons more, fancier rolls that are a little more money, but worth it. Only been there once so far, but definitely plan on coming back!! read more

This restaurant has questionable quality issues since their opening last year. When I first starting going here, I would order at least once a week. The sushi was delicious. Now, the chef is not cutting the fish correctly and leaving the gristle. This makes for a very unpleasant surprise. For a while, the chef was placing rotten salmon eggs on EVERYTHING. They tainted all the fish. I returned the sushi and the chef made a new roll. The newest problem, I ordered a rainbow roll. This should have a variety if fish on the top to create the rainbow. Today, it was mostly avocados with sprinkled candies. Not sure why ANYONE would want candy on their fish, however, next time I order I will make it clear no variations from the menu description! I am hoping the owner reads this and makes corrections. The Chinese menu is delicious and the location is great. I would like them to stay in business and improve the sushi. read more

I hate to say this but I didn't even eat there. We entered restaurant and grabbed a menu and attempted to sit down to review. Their benches are 6 inch knotty pine wood (I am tall and thin) l ended up on the ground. I was so embarrassed I walked out. So be careful when trying to sit on their cheaply made benches. I don't understand why they wouldn't make nice tables and chairs in this town. Thank heavens I didn't hit my head. I will have a bruise on my inner arm read more
