This was my first time ordering from Phoenix Express. I ordered from DoorDash so I'm only commenting on the food. I ordered the Hunan beef and an egg roll with steamed rice. The hunan beef dish was pretty good. The veggies were plentiful and cooked perfectly, the beef was tender, and hunan sauce was tasty. Unfortunately the rice was super sticky. And the egg roll tasted like it was fried in oil that hadn't been changed in a year. It was honestly gross. I doubt that I'll order from here again. read more

Sushi seems fresh Ambiance is ok, but its not a restaurant where they come to your table and wait on you - you order at the counter and there are seats to sit in (think chipotle) Service is ok - but they served our food to another table and then after a few minutes they realized their mistake and came back out, picked up the food from the other people and brought it to us to eat. When I asked if they expected us to eat food that other people had I was told yes because they were only looking at it for a little bit. We won't come back - no need. We stopped by at this place on our way to Blossom music center and we really liked the quality of the food and how fast we got it all ready. They didn't have it pre-cooked (which I really like!) and cooked it right after we ordered. The taste was good, fresh and spicy only to the point that it warms your mouth. Definitely recommend. 3 lunch special entrees with 2 cans of soda and 1 bottled water = 30$ without tips. read more

The food is always pretty decent and reasonably priced. My family ate at the restaurant today instead of getting it to go, and will not be doing so again. They plop the plastic to-go containers on the tables, give you plastic ware and paper plates, and don't even have tap water or ice available for customers. If you want water it's Dasani or nothing. There is zero value added to dining in here, get takeout and eat at home. Also the sushi today was warm for some reason despite not having tempura. Probably no biggie, but it's weird and feels wrong to eat warm raw fish. read more

Never order Chicken pad tai. Check out my photo for a comparison of the "chicken" that comes in pad tai VS. the chicken from my wife's chicken hibachi. And the best part is they don't kill you on price. We came across Phoenix Express when searching for good sushi around us (there isn't much), and this place kind of fell into our laps. If you want really fresh Asian food, try this place. I hadn't tried their egg rolls before today. Not many places can make them good but Phoenix does! If you're not staying to eat, definitely call ahead. We decided to eat in and there's really no area for people to wait for their food. We had two couples standing next to our table watching us eat and they kept commenting how good everything smelled and how hungry they were. The hibachi and chicken teriyaki were outstanding. The egg rolls were amazing and the sushi is good. My husband ordered the Hawaiian roll. It was good, but ima nigiri or sashimi girl. I like the simple things. The roll fell apart as soon as he attempted to pick up a piece and it was quite a mess. The yum yum sauce is always a must. The fried rice is fresh and not full of fake colorings and additives. Again, simple being better. I think this is going to be our go-to take out joint. I only give it four stars because our server attempted to give our sushi to the next table and we noticed this happened a lot. They even "lost" one guys sushi and had to make more.
