This is an overall review of multiple orders. Ingredient quality is important as well as care of assembly. China Express has managed to maintain fresh, high quality vegetables and meats during supply chain shortages. Yes, have had a few disappointing meals here. Used to burn egg foo young regularly. Egg rolls are variable. Soup is variable. I care about food I eat impacting health and well-being. The broccoli is usually super good. China Express does a very nice job for the cost of the dish. I do wish they and restaurants nearby would seriously think about going to healthier packaging alternatives. I don't like dealing with plastic waste. Having hot food steeping in plastic reminds me of Harvard Medical School info I read. Decide for yourself, but as a result, I eat out less and less. Here's a sample of that Harvard content published in 2019: Some of these chemicals have been linked to health problems such as metabolic disorders (including obesity) and reduced fertility. This leaching can occur even faster and to a greater degree when plastic is exposed to heat. They state an even HIGHER dose if you microwave leftovers. Less chance of that since serving sizes at most restaurants including China Express have gone down. read more

The best Chinese food I've ordered anywhere... ever. The food is delicious and consistent. Sweet and sour chicken and General Tso's chicken is excellent. The crab rangoon is the best I've had. Again, this place is consistent... the food is what you expect... every time. I recently moved from Wadsworth to Medina... and will be making the 15 minute drive down to this place. read more

I come here every once in a while and the food is usually pretty tasty. The gentleman (I think may be the owner) that's usually cooking is so polite too! Now today, he wasn't there. There was a lady cooking. I'd ordered burbon chicken. I've had the dish before from several different places. This however, looked TERRIBLE! IT TASTED EVEN WORSE! The chicken tasted like it sat in a salt brine, then was covered in duck sauce. The entree was on a bed of shredded cabbage with some chicken fried rice. That wasn't what I ordered....I'm not sure if this is their usual way if making the dish or what. This place has been my go to for Chinese food, but I think I'll be taking a break. This is my go-to Chinese place in Wadsworth. The best around in my opinion and I get to see the discuss fish whenever I go there. The owner has a great set up and watching the fish for a few minutes is fun. My usual order is the sesame chicken combo. Ordered General Tsao chicken and a few other things last night. The general tsao chicken was very mushy on the inside and I got horribly sick from it a few hours later. My wife got steamed dumplings and loved them, but the chicken was mushy and had trapped me in the bathroom all day... first and last time ordering from here. read more

Looks can be deceiving! While the small strip mall Chinese joint may seem cheap and unappetizing, it is by far the best Chinese takeout in the area. With a reliable wait time of only ten to fifteen minutes, they manage to cook up hearty servings of fresh Chinese food at it's best. And they now deliver! My family and I have been regulars for over ten years. The food has always met our often picky standards. I reccomend the chicken lo mein or chicken broccoli combinations. Whoever is ha doing this business clearly needs a lesson. I regularly order from this Chinese restaurant about once a week as a way to chill and no worry about dirtying dishes once a week. The service has progressively gotten worse every week. Food would come about twenty to thirty minutes after ordering. Now, I consistently get phone calls that they don't have enough chicken, pop, shrimp chips, sauce, etc to complete my order and inquire what I'd like to substitute. Last week was the last time I will ever order from them. I ordered at 4:30 for dinner for my family. No food by 6pm. Called and inquired on why and was hung up on. I would say it tasted like dog food, but my dog wouldn't even eat it! The black pepper chicken was a soggy mess. The teriyaki chicken was inedible. Half of the crab rangoons were empty from being fried too long and the Chinese donuts could make you swear off ever eating donuts again, which I suppose could be construed as a good thing? The best part, their solution for the covid pandemic? Plastic off the kitchen (while a door to the kitchen is wide open) and have you use a corded phone to talk to them, cause putting that dirty phone that's been used by who knows how many people up to your mouth seems like a good idea... about as good an idea as ordering whatever it is they sell from this place. My husband read some not so great reviews for this place on another site and tried to convince me to try another place. We are new to the area and I wanted to give it a try and so we did. I got the sesame chicken ($1.50 extra for all white meat, pretty standard) and he got general tso's ( which I consider him to be an expert on). Food was awful. Awful like I didnt want to eat it, awful. Husband thought his was pretty terrible too. I think that what we ordered are pretty standard Chinese meals, so if they were this bad, I don't think I'd be willing to try this place again and get something else. My husband said that they were very unfriendly. I wish that this experience had been different because there really aren't any great Chinese places in the area. :( read more

The food is fine. It's not bad Chinese food like a lot of places. The problem is the insane wait time and the horrible service. I know a lot of people don't like Chinese food places because it's hard to understand them. That's fine, I get it. I don't appreciate getting mean mugged by the employees when I walk in 30 minutes after ordering in the middle of the day (not busy hours) and my food still isn't done. First time tonite we ordered carryout - what a mistake. Don't order the Pu Pu Platter - the rib & chicken wing was mediocre, but the so-called shrimp was un-identifiable - the Crab Rangoon was nasty and so was the shrimp toast. We threw out most of the Pu Pu Platter because it tasted like POO POO. The wonton soup was good. The egg rolls were re-fried and dripping with oil so we actually threw out most of the Pu Pu Platter. We ordered Hawaiian Chicken - it had potential if there was any chicken significant to be called CHICKEN - and most everything that is fried is not completely done - it's awful when you get WET BATTER on the inside of the chicken. It was under-cooked. We threw out about $25 worth of garbage. Now I know why nobody was coming in and out of the place. read more

We have eaten here since we came to Ohio, and I don't know what happened in the last couple of months,but we shan't eat here anymore. They charged $1.75 extra (per portion) for the fried rice that came with no egg or veggies in it. I wondered of something was wrong with me because the food tasted so bland but my kids agreed that the best part was the frozen egg rolls that came from our freezer. read more
