Haven't gotten Hunan King in a couple years and this time it was amazing. Great food!

Between the 3 of use we spent roughly $100, orange chicken and rice very spicy which was very strange. General Sou chicken with vegetable lo mein, I am used to a nice hear but this was unbearably hot! The lo mein noodles was amazing! Meat egg roll x3 very rough to eat all wrapper and cabbage nothing more. Beef and mushrooms with white rice. First off no white rice beef was small fraction of stripes with no flavor. Mushrooms was just ok. Peanut chicken with fried rice. Chicken was disgusting so tough couldn't eat it. The rice no flavor at all. Donuts delicious. Crab lagoons, it's named something different there, very greasy yet dry and hard. Filling had all cheese like flavor zero crab. This is my absolute favorite Chinese place. I have ordered from here weekly for over four years. Only once I ordered something that didn't taste right and they immediately replaced it. I love the crab Rangoon!!! l I was kind of disappointed that I didn't get it tonight, and ended up with dumplings instead. That being said, the dumplings are very tasty too. I tried to call but a recording said they were so busy that they couldn't take any more phone calls so I will just have to wait til next time for my Rangoon. They provide such good service, and I didn't want to bother them over that. I ordered the Hunan beef this time also and it was very hot and fresh! My whole family loved their meals! read more

This place is absolutely terrible! I had ordered the bourbon chicken, sesame chicken, crab rangoons and boneless ribs. Both chicken dishes the chicken was rubbery and left a bad taste in your mouth, the boneless ribs were the same way. Not to mention both dishes were downing in an almost water sauce! This is my favorite place! The last review that I put up, I believe it was on Google but I had mentioned that the orange chicken was not up to par the last time I ordered it. Not only did the owner personally contact me but they gave me a free orange chicken on todays order and gave me and extra crabmeat with cheese order. I never really expect to get anything when I post reviews, I just want places to know if something is wrong so they can fix it but I am a faithful customer to this place and I appreciate the fact that they look out for their customers. Some of the worst Asian food I've ever had came out of this place. Everything tasted stale, with a side of vinegar. Husband got Hunan Chicken, which was just way spicy, and not much else. Not made like the picture at all, no baby corn, very little sauce. The fried rice is a weird yellow color, not fried, just rice cooked in chicken broth with a few diced onions added. I got Sweet & Sour Chicken, not a hint of sweet anywhere, just a very sharp vinegar flavor to the red runny sauce it came with. Again, yellow rice, not fried. Odd chunks of chicken? Mostly batter. The appetizer crab cheese fried wonton things were stale, with mushy cream cheese and zero crab, fake or real. Really awful. The egg rolls were over fried, stale, and filled with just mushy cabbage. First time ordering from Hunan King since moving to Uniontown. Not disappointed at all. I have tried a few others in town, but this is now my very favorite. Food was beautiful looking, hot, and delicious. Food arrived right on time, delivered to my door, and they even called out to let me know it was there. We ordered the General Tso's Chicken, some wonton soup, some vegie spring rolls, chicken on a stick, and crab ragoons. ALL hot and delicious. Very tasty. read more

The absolute worst Chinese food I've ever had. Had absolutely no flavor. Cashew chicken was bland and soupy. Wonton soup broth was horrible. Watch out for the "planted and paid for" reviews. I had a friend that wrote them for $5.00 each. This place is worse than bad. read more

The general chicken well the chicken was pink inside so I took it back acked them to cook another order lady came out with raw chicken to show me and I said yea that's raw and what was supposed to be cooked was still pink inside showed her and she said o that is fine so just asked for my money back and I will never order from there again read more

Our go to order is General Tso's Chicken (comes spicy and extra spicy upon request) Fried Crabmeat Cheese and Chicken or Vegetable Lo Mein! Their soups are really good too!! 5-Stars for Moo Goo Gai Pan! Even though it is a hot summer day, I craved wonton soup, Moo Goo Gai Pan and steamed rice. It was my first time trying Hunan King and I ordered through the BeyondMenu website. 13 min later I arrived to a fresh meal... everything is exactly how I pictured EXCEPT there's a bonus! The Moo Goo Gai Pan has the freshest vegetables I've ever received in this dish! Usually the flavors blend together, but these actually weren't cooked to the normal mush! Each bite contained its own flavor, the green peppers, the onion, the celery, even the mushroom! I'm impressed! The wonton soup was yummy too! It had a slight pepper taste that added an extra flare! I love Chinese and when this restaurant opened close to our home we decided to try it. My husband ordered pepper steak ($7.25) and I ordered sesame chicken ($7.50) combination platters. We also ordered appetizers of boneless spare ribs (small $5.95) and fried crabmeat cheese ($4.50). The platters came with fried rice and egg roll. We placed the order for pick up to go. ( You can also eat in and delivery is available with a minimum of a $10 order.) The sesame chicken was sweet and tender and delicious. My husband said the pepper steak was also delicious. The egg roll was a little on the dry side but still very good. The boneless spare ribs were sweet, favorable and chewy. The fried crabmeat cheese was crisp on the outside and cheesy on the inside ( yummy!). This restaurant is definitely a keeper. read more

Normally I've had very good experiences here but when I ordered delivery today I was deeply disappointed, not only did I not get the donuts I ordered, but the General chicken I ordered was slimy and disgusting. The taste was kinda there but it was very disappointing. The rice was also very dry and had little to no taste. The egg roll is always my favorite part but when I took a bite, not only was it over cooked, but it tasted old and leathery. This is our favorite Chinese food. The cheese Rangoons are so delicious! The fried rices are moist and flavorful. We had a big order delivered to our house yesterday. General Tso's chicken was the favorite ! My guests all loved everything. The steamed veggies were perfect. Everything was delivered hot. Prices are fair. So glad this place is close by. I order from here once or twice a month. The portions are big, the food is always yummy. We have tried the General Tso chicken, Sesame chicken, coconut shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, friend donuts, chicken on a stick and more. Everything is always amazing! Just received our delivery order from here tonight! We ordered the Orange Chicken and Peanut Chicken dinner combo (fried rice and egg roll with each), as well as some Crab Rangoons. It's all delicious!!! The manager (possibly owner) was funny :) He even threw in two free pepsis! $21 for a TON of food and delivered?! Heck yes. Read the reviews and tried this place . Save your time as it did not measure up . The General was weak tasting but the chicken was very tender. The fried rice was a total waste as it had no flavor and was pre-made and dry. My wife tried the Bourbon chicken and it was over cooked and dry. Her fried rice was also pre-made and lousy. This place did not make the grade . The two star was only for the quantity of food not taste and quality !!! read more

The food is meh, oftentimes is either too bland or too sweet. When I get chinese I want something salty or savory and Hunan King is lacking in both of those flavor profiles. The customer service is poor as well - at least with their delivery drivers. I recently bought 13 dollars worth of food, and paid with a 20 when the driver arrived. He didn't have change and assumed I was giving him a large tip and quickly left before I could correct him. Another day, a different driver got to my door and was EXTREMELY rude and yelled at me for how far I lived from the restaurant and told me I shouldn't have ordered because they only deliver for a 5 mile radius. I live 3 miles away from the restaurant, so I was baffled by his attitude. On top of that, I realized when he drove off they gave me the wrong order. I will probably never order from this place again. I really only ordered from here because it was of the few Chinese places nearby that delivered instead of just offering carry out. I could put up with a rude driver or two if the food was amazing but it really just isn't that great. Go to Lucky Star instead. Even though I have to leave the house for it, it's better food, better pricing and better service. read more
