We needed a new place to go as the quick Chinese food place we used to go to has really weird hours now. We stumbled upon this place and thought we would give it a try. We've been there probably 3 times now, and this has become our go to restaurant. I love that I can easily put my order in online, and when I've had requests such as certain veggies in the good, they have gotten it right so far. We've tried a few different dishes including kung pao chicken, beef and broccoli, bourbon chicken, sweet and sour chicken, garlic chicken. Everything's has been fresh and hot. I would recommend this place to others to try and honestly think it's one of the best in the Massillon area. As far as those wondering about the spice levels: There is a bit of spice in the spicy dishes, but it's not overwhelming. read more

I have been under the weather and soup just sounded so good... I have only ordered once from China King and never ordered soup from them, but man, let me tell you, THIS WAS THE BEST SPECIAL SOUP I HAVE EVER HAD from ANY Asian restaurant!!! The broth is delicious!! And it was chock full of meat, shrimp, veggies, wantons... So good!!!! I have had lots of Special Soup from other restaurants, and they pretty much all taste the same... China King has some of the best take-out Chinese food around. I've been eating their food for over 27 years (it's changed management only 1 time, to other family members, I think) and the quality and consistency has remained high through out the years. Everything on the menu is well prepared and tasty. The young lady, who can always be found at the front counter, is diligent and courteous. The food is always ready within 10-15 minutes and the orders are always filled with 100% accuracy. And, I probably shouldn't say this, but even if something isn't on the menu, if you know what you want, they will prepare it for you. They are special people. I just pray they don't support the CCP! Average General Tso, but my son's bourbon chicken was very good. Each lunch special came with a can of pop, so the price was very reasonable. It was also slightly cheaper than other places. Probably will be back again. Will try other items next time. read more

We've had supper from China King a half dozen times now, and I believe we've found our go-to Chinese restaurant in Massillon. The food always tastes fresh, everything we've had is good and tasty, and the service is friendly. The restaurant is always spotless, prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. I can only give four stars for these reasons: 1) No delivery 2) No place to sit and eat 3) My honey says the Hot & Sour soup isn't hot enough. I think China King keeps their prices down by not offering full service in the restaurant, and one can always call Uber Eats if you can't go pick up your order. Overall we're pleased with this place and look forward to many more meals from here. read more

I will speak to the food in a moment, but the service at China King in Massillon (Marc's Plaza) is exceptional for this type of Chinese takeout restaurant. I don't know her name ... wish I did ... but the lady who works the counter every evening I have been there is one of the most likeable people I've met. She smiles a lot. She makes little humorous statements if appropriate. She remembers you. She understands and speaks English well with an accent that doesn't get in the way. Very pleasant, and makes the experience friendly. The food is really good for the price, too. Though I have eaten there many times, I haven't strayed from my staple (orange chicken egg roll, and white rice $7) but for that price point it is excellent. No need for me to try any competitor. A couple of tips: 1. They add a reasonable $0.25 if you use a card 2. Order ahead or plan to wait 15 minutes. It is cooked to order. read more

We are fairly new to this area and are STILL looking for reputable Chinese take out. We tried this place and were happy with the prices. They seemed to be cheaper than another place we tried a month prior. We brought our food home and quickly realized that this experience was not going to be a pleasant one. The beef in the lo mein was not beef. I'm not sure what is was. It was tough and slimy. Tasted gamey. My husbands shrimp fried rice was okay. Egg rolls were not crunchy, but had more of a doughy consistency. Weird texture. Very disappointed and will not be going back. Oh, another tip...make sure you take cash. huge portions. the crab ragoon was decent as was the eggroll. the fried rice was a little bland and the general tso's was under seasoned even though I requested it to be extra spicy... it was still tame enough for a small child.
