    Beef on hot stone

I felt unwelcome from the moment I sat down. When I asked questions about the menu, the server brushed me off and walked away. Several small plates were dropped on the table with no explanation, I had to find a server to ask what they were. The server's response was in Korean which did neither helped nor was conducive. The main dish barely had any meat compared to the amount of rice. While the food itself tasted fine, the service was rude and the experience was horrendous. This was probably the worst service I've seen in New Jersey and I eat out a few times a week. Good food isn't enough to make up for poor service, and I wouldn't come back because of the poor service that was provided.

In a strong Korean food area, this bbq is one of the best! Love the meat quality (cooked over charcoal!) the ban chan(seaweed was so good), and the fact they cook for you. Had a great feast with my girl friend here, then went downstairs to the karaoke. Get there early (or lucky enough) to grab a parking spot in their lot!

This is my family absolute favorite KBBQ in NJ! Everything they do from the banchan to meats are amazing and super fresh. I would definitely recommend making a reservation (call them), especially for a Friday or Saturday night because it does get pretty busy. They do also bring out a bunch of banchan including veg stew, steamed egg, and corn with cheese! Will be continuing to return for special dinners.

Really good Korean bbq! We came at 2pm on a Saturday, and it wasnt too busy. A bit on the pricey side but everything was good quality and tasty. Some items were not available but the substitutes were great too. Staff did a good job working the grill and bringing more requested banchan, drinks and meat. We had some individual orders of beef and pork. Enjoyed all the banchan too which balance out the meat. We had a reservation for 8 people in a side room which was pretty private. Did not leave smelling like grilled meats. They do not have dessert. Parking lot was pretty full but we were able to find spots.

I've gotten kbbq so many times at so many different spots across jersey and nyc and wow this blew everything i've ever had before out of the water!! the charcoal adds such a complex smoky layer to all of the meats that just cannot be recreated with a normal flame. Kinda need to get go here now every time i'm craving kbbq!! Staff is super attentive and friendly! and of course the banchan spread was incredible and complementary to the meats!

Tips: - 5% off for a cash discount but need to let them know when they bring the check - They do charcoal here, which is a differentiator. - Rice bowls are free, but need to ask for them - Free refills of banchan, but they ran out of certain ones (potatoes, mook) - Made a reservation just an hour before, which was a good idea because they are really popular and there was a wait We ordered the beef combo for 2 and the pork combo for 4. We ended up having to take 2 pork belly to go because it was so much food. While everything was good, I would get much more of the cha-dol (thinly sliced beef) because it really absorbed the charcoal taste the most out of any of the meats.

The smoky flavor in the meats due to the charcoal fire makes a huge difference. The plain unmarinated galbi was the star. Super tender and moist, filled with juice. The thinly sliced brisket was probably my least favorite selection. The souffle egg was super silk and flavorful. They provided a bunch of side dishes and the server cooked the meat consistently med rare. I would go back for sure!

My fiancé and I went to this restaurant on a Sunday night. We didn't order bbq but regular entrees. We were welcomed by a server and he sat us on a 4 seat table. My first impression was that the table was not clean because there was still rice stuck on the table and the table was still pretty wet. Also, my chair was a bit wet. My fiancé and I wanted to leave at first but we decided to change to another table. The server was very nice and helped us move. We ordered squid stone pot and beef brisket tofu stew. They gave us many side dishes which included fish cake, dried anchovies, Kimichi, bean paste stew, and steam egg. We didn't order bbq but they placed side dishes for bbq, but we ate them too. The food turn out to be delicious and big portion. We were glad to stay and eat at the restaurant. The only thing I think the restaurant could improve the cleanliness for the cleaning their tables and the floor. They were a lot of trash on the floor and it would be way better if they swept the floor. Not sure if it because it was late when we came in to dine (9pm). Other than that, the place is pretty bright and have many seatings. There are two bathrooms by the entrance. The servers were super friendly throughout our dinner.

Food (4/5): Got decent amount of banchan. The lettuce tasted a bit odd and soapy but the rest was really good. We ordered the beef brisket and tofu soup plus the squid stone bowl. Both dishes were good. The portions to price ratio was also very good. Service (4/5): When we mentioned that the first table was wet and dirty, they were super helpful and were willing to move us to another table. Unfortunately, a bunch of the food we initially wanted like the bulgogi and the Kimchi cheese pork belly were out. The food took a bit to come out but they were quick with the banchan so we were able to enjoy that while waiting. They also nicely gave us a steamed egg and small soup on the house. The staff overall was very friendly which was great. Ambiance (3/5): The restaurant was quite dirty. You can see scraps over the floor and the first table we got was wet and sticky with sticky menus. The next table was a bit better and cleaner. The place does look nicely decorated though with hanging lights.

Pretty great Korean bbq. Comes as set menus that are pretty tasty. Found the meat to be tender as well.

Go up the stairs for KBBQ! One of the only places that uses coal in the BBQ instead of gas. Honestly this does make a difference in the taste, especially in the vegetables or more delicate BBQ. Service is speedy with cooking and efficient. They also leave you and your party enough alone, if that makes sense lol. That's a plus for me - not sure if that's universal. I think we ordered the BBQ set for 2(?) but it was wayyy more than enough meat for a party of 4. Granted it was for lunch, but they also have generous helpings of banchan, steamed egg, etc. I'm always more a fan of beef over pork so we got the exclusively beef set I think - pretty decent BBQ and very filling. This place is also super popular but doesn't take reservations so call ahead or show up a bit early!

We came on a Friday night with 2 people around 5:30pm and were seated right away. It seems like this place doesn't get too crowded since there were still some tables open when we left. I enjoyed my time here but think I prefer other kbbq places over this. We got the two-person beef set combo which comes with three meats. Two of the meats were delicious and juicy but I was a bit disappointed by the wagyu brisket. When I hear wagyu I think it's gonna be super soft and melt in your mouth but when it came out it wasn't very marbled. It was a little tough, but to be fair they didn't say the grade of the Wagyu. The banchan was good and the veggies were fresh which I appreciated! They give steamed egg, stew, and corn cheese on the side which we appreciated, but they were just okay, nothing special. Something that's also pretty important to me for kbbq is the sauce since the meats are typically served without marinade and seasoning. They only had Samjang but most places have like a soy sauce based sauce to dip it in. So I was also disappointed to see they didn't have another sauce for the meats.

But if you want to gauge price a little, we went with 4 adults, 3 kids and ordered japchae (glass noodles), kimchi pajeon (pancake), 2 bottles of soju, drinks, a meat set that came with soup, 2 types of pork and 2 types of beef and it came out to about $350, tip included. The meat was fresh and tender, and grilled up beautifully alongside some mushrooms, garlic, and daikon on the tabletop grill. Loved that they threw in fresh herbs (rosemary/thyme) on the meat too -- nice touch. Banchan was plentiful and kept coming, so you're never short on sides. For dipping, you get a choice of garlic scallion sauce, soybean paste (ssamjang), or just salt -- all solid options depending on what you're grilling. Service was attentive and quick to help with the grill and refills without being intrusive. The restaurant has a big dedicated parking lot, which made getting in and out so much easier. Will definitely be back to try out the intestine options.

Their menu has a variety of different options and our favorites that we tried tonight was the LA galbi , beef brisket, & finger galbi (boneless galbi). I also liked the banchan & salad sides to pair w/ the meats. What wasn't so good was the service. When we arrived to the restaurant and got a table, we were only one of two tables & waited 10 min before we got ahold of someone to order. After ordering, it was pretty difficult to get one of the staff to put in another order of meats, replenish sauces, and some of our food didn't come. For example, we ordered fried calamari & we ended up asking about the status of the fried calamari 4 times lol... eventually came at the END of our meal & mind you, we had ordered another round of meats already & those had came within minutes + the calamari came AFTER we were done grilling everything. Not to mention, for 3 pieces of calamari haha. The service was iffy because we were waving for a staff member to order and just got ignored, luckily we were in no rush to be anywhere. ALSO, if you are planning to bring children, note that no matter how old or how young your kids are, they will be subject to be charged the same $ as an adult. $40/pp for dinner. We had 5 people total, 4 adults 1 child & total was $213 after tax, before tip. So with all this being said in my review, if you're looking for solid AYCE KBBQ, look no further BUT be aware that the service is not the best. AND, they offer sushi here which may seem tempting but I do not recommend. Not very good and looked like supermarket sushi. Just come for bbq meats. Parking: they have a parking lot in the back!

I'm personally no expert in Korean restaurants, but I'm usually around folks that are, and this is a solid to above average place based on my experience and their opinions having gotten a variety of dishes (Pajun Uguji Tang, Galbi Stone Pot Rice). Our banchan also was delicious. They even had the spicy squid here, which I hear and personally have experienced to be pretty uncommon due to its niceness, so that elevated my opinion of this place already that they not only served it, but also refilled it for us when asked! The Korean side dishes were so fresh and tasty. It didn't taste or feel like it was going bad and still being served. Either I came on a good day or the food is just amazingly tasty and fresh. That's what I really appreciate. The only downside was that it was a but pricey, but I do understand that inflation has hit hard. One dish per person for five people plus tip was about 170.00.
