I have heard so many good things about Hana Tea... my daughter and friends love this place... in fact, it's a couple of my friend's birthdays this month so I wanted to get some gift cards. Luckily there was no line when I visited, but I would wait even if there was a line because the drinks are worth it. I first noticed where Hana Tea was because of the long line that wrapped outside the door and down the walkway. I waited about 15 minutes to get to the front of the line, and then about 5 minutes after ordering to get my milk tea. Their service is fast and staff is friendly! It's a cute boba store that smells OH SO HEAVENLY, as soon as you enter the door you're hit with the smell of milk tea. There's lots of options to choose from including fruit smoothies, but my favorite is the Brown Sugar Milk Tea 25% sweet. I tried the cheese foam, pretty standard with a little saltiness but recommend the creamy cake if you prefer your drink a little heavier. It was also pretty big and had a good amount of seating. It was pretty crowded when we went and there were quite a bit of locals, so I'm guessing it gets pretty crowded on the regular. I'm not a big milk tea drinker but I think this place was pretty good. We got here on a Saturday afternoon and already the line was out the door. I got the brown sugar MT with brown sugar boba and creamy cake, 50% sweet with less ice and my bf got the same except cheese foam instead. First off, the quality of the container and its capping is exceptional. Theres the side for the straw and on the opposite side of that is a hole like in a Starbucks cup, so if you want to sip the tea and not get boba, you can use that side. Also very insta worthy, which at this age of social media is a must for new businesses to do well. The drink itself is pretty delicious. Not as sweet as I was expecting, so I next time I'll probably increase the sweetness to 75%. The boba is probably the best boba I've had in a milk tea, and that's coming from me, who never gets boba because I dont like having to chew on them, I just like to drink the tea itself. Came again, this time 5 parties in line - which over there I guess is considered slow. In Taiwan, Hong Kong and many parts of Asia, milk tea with cheese foam and creamy cake have been around for several years he said. They use three different kinds of black tea mixed with milk and cream. Creamy cake is whipped cream and other things mixed in to your milk tea to make it richer and creamy tasting. It isn't sweet as you might imagine cake to be. I got mine with 50% sugar and it was perfect. Cheese foam adds a nice salty, savory layer to the top. Other patrons were having their brown sugar milk tea with Boba. All good. On a cold windy day when I lived in Japan, I used to like to have a cup of hot milk tea with whiskey.
