Han Palace Dim Sum was fantastic! We came here to eat for my husband birthday lunch and fell in LOVE with their top-tier Dim Sum quality. Considering it's all you can eat, their quality is INSANE. Their menu options were pratically ENDLESS considering my all time favorite peking duck is on the menu here?! Seriously, this place is a gem. Han Palace "Unlimited Tasting Menu" offers 2 options.. Option A: has selected menu options for $38 per person. Option B: has the entire menu selections for $48 per person. (this option has filet mignon and duck!) This location has the sweetest and most attentive staff. Everyone was so welcoming and genuinely outgoing, and our food came out impressively fast. It's another perfect example of how exceptional an AYCE experience can be when quality truly comes first. Every dish was flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and honestly spectacular. The Star Of The Show: Han Style Peking Duck: The Han-style Peking duck was beautifully prepared, served with house-made hoisin sauce, fresh scallions, cucumbers, and soft pancakes that made each bite perfectly balanced. Han Style Filet Mignon: A generous, thick-cut filet mignon that's exceptionally juicy and flavorful, enhanced by a rich sweet-savory marinade that complements the cut beautifully. Pork Spare Ribs (Kingdom sauce): Perfectly tender mini ribs glazed in a bold, savory black bean sauce that adds depth and richness to every bite. Mapo Tofu: An absolute favorite, oily spicy sichuan sauce with soft silken tofu. It's perfectly paired with a bowl of white steamed rice! Purple Gold Yolk Bun: A delicious balance of sweet and savory flavors, featuring a rich, salty egg yolk custard filling wrapped in a pillowy-soft ube bun. Absolutely addicting. Brown Sugar Crystal Dessert: Truly a childhood comfort dessert. Clear jelly agar served with a clean sweet brown sugar syrup. It is served cold, and topped with tamarind candy bits. Stuffed Crab Claw: These are hands down the biggest stuffed crab claws I've ever seen/tasted. They're incredibly juicy and moist, making them absolutely worth ordering! The meat is succulent and generously packed, with perfectly balanced flavors in every bite. Pair it with their chili oil and it's pure perfection. They definitely do not skimp on the meat here! Came here on my birthday for a nice meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We walked in and it was LOUD. So, I just went with it and spoke loud too and I think people realized they weren't using their inside voices. Saw this place from TikTok and recommended by my friend! Amazing options. I love their $18pp all you can drink lemon drop martini, mai tai, or mimosas. Definitely worth it as long as you drink at least 3. They often came by to ask if we wanted refills of the lemon drop and water (very important to hydrate in this heat)! Not everyone in your party has to get the all you can drink package, but if you chose to do the A or B all you can eat dim sum, the whole table must order the same. At the end, they also included gratuity into the check. Dimsum: -Soup Dumplings Really good actually! Well made. The skin is thin and with a good amount of hot soup that tastes delicious. Came piping out. None of the skin broke too. -Dry beef noodles (ho fun) They were decent, but I wasn't expecting a small plate. Had the right flavors though with the beef and bean sprouts too. -Mapo Tofu Delicious! Not too spicy at all although it has a reddish color. Tofu is soft and melts with the sauce. It came with 2 rice bowls for 4 people. -shrimp crystal dumplings (only came with 3 though) Fairly good. Skin is a bit on the thicker side. Was a shrimp ball, I don't think it had any bits of ginger or chives in it. -roasted pork bun Originally we didn't want char siu bao but apparently that's the only roasted pork bun they have, which is them steamed. A lot of bread which we could dip into the mapo tofu. It's very fluffy and lots of bread if you're into that. Def the least favorite dish we got. -Chinese garlic broccoli Big chunks of Chinese veggies. Had a Big Crunch to it. Hint of garlic flavor. Not a big portion though. -drinks The lemon drop martinis were made in this liter bottle and they come to refill it. They weren't that sour at all so def lots of sugar or not as much lemon juice. I honestly don't understand why the reviews here are so bad. I had a fabulous time! Granted, I was in great company with friends, but the service was excellent, everyone was friendly and helpful. At $38/person it's a good deal if you can sit two hours and add the $18 all-you-can-drink, but otherwise maybe just go to regular dim sum where you can eat authentic dim sum items? Let me just clock out real quick... We did the tasting menu option A, we sat, and we ate. Here's the thing, a party of 10 was there and so was a party of 22. Yes you read that right, Taylor Swift sized seating and they were not prepared for it. There's only like 3-4 waiters running up and down the stairs and truly bless their hearts for being able to handle all of the chaos. The food was good, it's just good. Is it mind blowing? No, they use plastic spoons, calm down. The shrimp and pineapple fried rice was my personal favorite, tasted like a traditional buttery Chinese tossed dish. Didn't opt for much of the dim sums since my friend doesn't eat pork but everything else was just good. Pro tip: it is not $35 or whatever it is advertised, gratuity is included and so is tax (obvs) an it comes out to around $50 per person, so don't be surprised. We opted for the AYCE Option B and it was 100% worth it due to the 2 duck items. I highly recommend you get the Peking duck and salted duck. Tried Han Palace in Georgetown for the first time recently and it was a good experience! The portions you get are a good value for the all you can eat price, but the dim sum only menu isn't as big of a variety as other dim sum places. The seating inside is very tight, and can fill up quickly. So best to arrive early and during weekends, you will probably have to wait. The staff members are attentive despite having so much to keep track of - serving drinks and food and picking up after tables and seating new guests all at the same time. The place was buzzing! But the food was good. I think some of the dishes were made with sauces that were a little too sweet for my liking. They didn't taste how traditional dim sum should taste. I stopped here yesterday after work to pick up my takeout order. I work super close to this restaurant so was able to walk down there within 5 minutes. I was so excited to try this location since I enjoyed the food so much at the Barracks's Row location. I ordered General Tso's chicken and their seafood fried rice. I grabbed my food and headed out and again, not one goodbye, or thank you, or come again. As someone who worked in customer service for a number of years, I always pay attention to these things when I visit an establishment. It will often determine if I go back again. Now for the food, it was just ok. It was not as tasty as the food from the Barrack's Row location. The General Tso chicken tasted more like batter than actual chicken, and the sauce didn't taste right. It wasn't sweet enough and the rice was very plain. There was barely any scallop in my bowl and for almost $20, I expected better tasing rice. We had been to the Han Palace Barracks-Row before and were excited to see one open in Georgetown. Steamed Chicken Claws The chicken feet were delicious, they seemed to be seasoned in a sweet and savory sauce and were super tender, they fell right off the bones! A 2. Shrimp Dumpling Very tasty, good ratio of shrimp filling to dumpling/flour. Paired very well with soy sauce and chili oil. A 13. Stuffed Crab Claw To be honest, we didn't order this, we ordered the chicken claw but think they heard crab claw, but were so happy we got to try it! We normally wouldn't have ordered it but it was actually really good. It came out super hot and a very crisp exterior. Also very beautiful presentation and taste. A 12. Scallion Pancake This was the only one we wouldn't get next time, it just wasn't our taste. It was, however, super crisp and flaky which was nice, just not great flavor wise in our opinion. LITERALLY THE WORST SERVICE EVER. We made an 8pm reservation for my friend's birthday. When we got their, the "manager" kept insisting we called to cancel and when we explained why would we call and still show up, he changed his response to "well, someone called" and shrugged. Lastly they argued with us for wanting takeaway boxes but after everything they put us through and only having a limited time to eat, boxes was the least they could do. We were enticed based on various social media posts promoting this place. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as advertised. The service was good as it would have been appropriate to downgrade to two stars if it wasn't. We opted for option A for the dim sum smorgash board. The good ones were the clab claw and Singaporean noodles. The rest were a little greasy that left my stomach very uneasy. The mango boba was not that good either. Really good food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a tiny place and so can be a bit hectic on the weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were a group of 5 so we were able to try so much of the menu. The duck, pork belly bao, soup dumplings and Chinese broccoli were excellent. The bottomless mimosas were premixed and almost all OJ, skip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The soap in the bathroom is as watered down as the mimosas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hot and sour soup was meh but everything else is worth a return visit. read more

I am deeply disappointed by the discriminatory and unprofessional behavior my teenage daughter and her friend experienced at this establishment. When it was time to pay for their meal, the waitress falsely claimed their card was declined. My daughter, confused, asked to see the receipt and inquired why her card would be declined when she had sufficient funds. Instead of providing an explanation, the waitress yelled at my daughter, demanded she pay a tip, and forcibly charged her an additional $10 without consent. My daughter, intimidated and afraid, paid it out of fear. It is completely unacceptable for any adult--especially someone in a customer service role--to treat minors this way. -- UPDATE as of 04/24/2025 -- When I visited the restaurant the same day, and my mother returned the following day to address this matter in person, the same waitress was still rude and hostile. She yelled at me and laughed mockingly in front of other customers when my mother asked for a simple apology for how she treated her granddaughter. Not once did she express remorse or take accountability. To make matters worse, we were the only Black customers in the restaurant and were treated with clear disrespect. This experience felt racially charged and exploitative. A $20 credit from corporate does not address the harm done. This is not about money--it's about integrity, accountability, and basic human decency. I urge this establishment to fully refund the charges and take appropriate action against this staff member. Your team failed a young customer--and failed again when confronted with the truth. Shame on this behavior. read more

Han Palace on Connecticut Ave has always been a favorite for my friends so when Han Palace Georgetown opened up and is much closer to my house, I wasn't able to resist. Right now they have a like $40/45 (? I don't remember- don't quiz me) tasting menu for the dim sum and it is SO worth it. It's all you can eat but you have to finish what you order or you're charged a fee for your food waste- which I think is a good practice for restaurants to enact. The star of their menu is truly the crab dumpling- it is this massive fried ball of crab and shrimp meat and it's crispy and hot and just so dang good! We also tried all 3 of the desserts and the sesame ball is actually just pure deliciousness. It's this sweet rice ball with brown sugar inside and covered in sesame seeds, but it's simple done right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is really cute but it is a tight space so be prepared to be near other people when you eat here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's great food all made fresh to order, so I will definitely be back. read more

What an incredible addition to the neighborhood. Though not large, the interior is nicely decorated and welcoming. We sat upstairs in the bar area, right along a wall of windows which brought in nice light and made the space feel much larger than it is. Service was prompt and courteous, with menu substitutions noted and suggestions given. We ordered a few dim sum, all of which were tasty, and then 1/2 duck to share. All our food was great, but the duck was the standout. read more

Terrible service and a combination of mediocre and bad dim sum. I would never go here again they took my order walked away, and I had to get up get my own napkins refill my own drink. There was no one in the front of the house with me. They were clearly hiding in the kitchen. it was very uncomfortable, and they were very rude on top of everything. My food was basically bad. I would never go here again, and I would never recommend it. read more
