I'm not sure that this is a resort at all. Far from it. It's just in name only. Fortunately for me it was on the way south towards Boston and quite fitting for my budget, so I booked it. I was here on a one night stay here in Hampton, New Hampshire. The Hampton Village Resort seemed like a good property to books at the time and I was happy that I did. The pricing per night was a nice budget friendly sub $80/night and it was nice comparable to other properties along the I-95 corridor. They do have a pool and sauna here, but I didn't use that service during my stay. The temperatures were already dipping into the mid 40's F at the time and going swimming outside isn't the brightest idea then. I arrived here on a Monday afternoon, October 17, 2016. The check in process was alright. It was quick and friendly for the most part and the check out process was as quick and painless as well. The Hampton Village Resort, as mentioned before, is in name only. Not to be mean, but it felt like it was a moderately priced hotel with the modern conveniences. Certainly not a resort in the traditional sense, but they were near Hampton Beach, but still, the property itself does not rise to the resort status that I am thinking of. Don't get me wrong. It was a good stay for me. I did enjoy myself, especially with a good nightly rate that offers comfort at a budget friendly surroundings. The overall experience here at the Hampton Village resort can be categorized as being nice and decent, budget friendly, casual. and quiet. The Hampton Village resort is located at 999 Main Street here in Hampton, New Hampshire. They accept major credit cards, which is always a good thing. In the hotel and hospitality, it's probably 99% of payment methods for bookings; but I'm just assuming. They have a private parking lot options available, but it's limited. Best bet is to get here early to avoid not getting a parking spot. The wifi here is pretty good, although it was spotty at times. The resort itself was a modest 3 story building, including the first floor parking, swimming pool, and lobby area. The room key is a little interesting. It's a cross between an old school green key ring and an electronic key reader. I received room 312 for the night and the air conditioning worked, after spending a few moments warming up. The television worked good and the room itself was very clean and the bed was made with perfection. The bed itself was quite comfortable and got a very nice night's rest. It was a nice stay here at Hampton Village resort for me. Thank you for the budget friendly room rates that make it positive for us travel junkies to make it happen. If you are in the area, consider the Hampton Village resort during your travels in New New Hampshire or anywhere throughout New England. It was a nice place to stop after cruising in Maine and I was off to western Massachusetts the next morning for more sightseeing. 3.5 stars for the experience. 4.0 stars for the bed and comfort. 4.5 stars for the price. This is the king bed room. On the smaller size. Double queen room is pretty roomy. But this is fine.

I've stayed here twice this 2017 summer. I've heard the hotel is under new ownership, from before and there have been a lot of changes. It has certainly been remodeled. Hotel rooms have been very clean, both time. The outside and halls could be cleaned up a bit. However the bargain price makes up for those minor flaws. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pool area could use some updating. I'll definitely stay again next year.

Update: We did not know they had a sauna but they do! Man did it take the edge off after a long day of the bitter New Hampshire cold.

I had to leave a message and got a call back 2 days later. I was excited to book a cottage for August of 2026 for our family vacation and paid the deposit. The next day I received an email that my reservation was canceled and deposit returned. I called to find out what happened and was told that Erica, the assistant manager would get back to me the next day. Less than an hour later I got an email from Erica saying that my reservation was booked by mistake and that the cottages were promised to other people by previous ownership and that they could only rent to us if someone canceled. What a terrible way to run a business! If those cottages weren't available then why weren't they marked as already reserved? Why send out an email to book now if there is nothing left to book? Why take my money in good faith when what I booked wasn't available? When I finally got a phone call back, she was rude and completely condescending about their mistake. My family was planning this vacation from out of state, what if we had already purchased plane tickets? There was no compassion about a mistake made on their end, only anger that I called her out on it. I don't know if I could trust that they would actually honor any reservation made. Tread carefully!

Location 5/5 Accommodation 4.8/5 Staff 5/5 Value 4.7/5 It's located on the corner just one street in from the beach. So it's quieter at night but still a short walk to the ocean and food spots. Even better, you're adjacent to the Casino Ballroom. It was cool to check out the tour buses arriving as we walked to breakfast. We stayed here for a show and it was convenient to be so close. Every interaction with the staff was helpful and pleasant - phone calls to in person! The price is on par with other spots in the area but here you get a parking spot, pool, and everything is clean and new. Over $550 for two nights is still outrageous, but that is life in 2022. Comfortable bed alert!! Both my husband and I had very restful sleeps (I'm a stomach sleeper and slept awesome!) The rooms were just was we needed although it would have been nice to have a small table and chairs in the room. There's a perfect space by the window in the room for that. 2 night minimum stay...so we made a beach weekend out of our concert night. We left saying, "if we ever come back let's stay here again".

The rooms are evidently undergoing some renovations; however, I don't think there is anyway to renovate this to today's expectations and standards. The heating and cooling unit is loud enough that if you are trying to watch TV you have to turn the volume up when it kicks in and down when it cycles down. The floor had a downhill tilt (not as noticeable in shoes but definitely if you are barefoot). A laminate wood floor has been added as an "update" at sometime, which would have been the time to level up the slope. The ceiling and areas around the heat/air unit all have crazy gaps and need better trim work. Let's talk ventilation and insulation. I swear the ducts just connect one room to another. We listened to the kids next door carrying on till after 11 and the parents evidently didn't care about other guests and the running up and down the halls and hollering during other times was like they were in our room with us. Our room was over the function room and I think the music was louder in our room than it was when we had been downstairs. The advertised "shared microwave" is just one in the lobby, not even one on each floor by the ice machines. We attended a function on Saturday night in the banquet hall. The serving staff was great and were hustling their butt's off. The food was a giant hit or miss!! Those who had pre-ordered the grilled sirloin had the home run meal. The rest of us struck out. The chicken was pounded so thin that it was dry all the way through except for a silver dollar sized area, those who got the ravioli found them to be under stuffed and lacked any kind of sauce so were also dry. If that wasn't bad enough everything was luke warm, but because I was hungry I ate the broccoli and penne . The salds were good, veggies were crispy. Dressing was spotty on some of them and well dressed on others. For the outrageous meal price for events, I am sure we will not be back. When we checked out there was no " how was your stay inquiry from staff, just a "there are no charges so you are all set"

August 22-24 2025 / standard king room…read more I really wanted to like this hotel because of its location, but unfortunately my stay was very disappointing. Upon arrival, The floor was dirty (see photo), the tissue holder in the bathroom was rusty, and the baseboards were both dirty and covered with hair (see photos). The bathroom was stocked with no extra toilet paper or tissues, and the bath towels provided were tiny and felt more like hand towels than bath towels. The bedding wasn't much better - I found dirty pillow cases when I checked in. In terms of amenities, the room lacked the basics I'd expect from a hotel in this price range. There was no information about restaurants, hotel hours, or amenities provided in the room, and no phone or safe available. Service was also hit or miss. The valet consistently took around 15 minutes to bring the car, which is a long wait when you're trying to get somewhere. On top of that, I had requested feather-free (hypoallergenic) pillows and comforter, but it took two attempts and over an hour and a half after check-in to finally get it resolved. Overall, the hotel has potential because of its beachfront location, but the lack of cleanliness, poor room setup, and slow service made for a very frustrating experience. I expected much better for the price and would not stay here again unless significant improvements are made. When we brought our concerns up (again) upon check out they did wave the parking and resort fee's but we will not be returning... Perhaps the name should change to Trashworth.... Very disappointing

Must have been a drug party going on by the last occupant? The bed was made when I checked in, but how can housekeeping miss the drugs in the bedside table AND inside the bathroom?? Also, the dark, woodgrain laminate floor was disgustingly DIRTY! My guess is they just sweep only, and hardly if ever, actually wash the floor. I asked the front office if they could do a quick wash of the floor, but they never showed up. Don't make the mistake of walking barefoot on the floor with wet feet, and if you are wearing socks, the bottom of them will turn black quickly. The cold water knob in the shower was frozen shut, and it couldn't turn, only leaving the hot water knob usable, making the shower unusable onless you like scalding water. I asked the front desk if someone could look at it, but nobody showed up. Also, don't try sitting in their cheap plastic patio chairs outside the room, unless you have good health insurance. I really want to like this place, but find it difficult at the present time. 8/23/25
