very old apartments and tons of issues inside the unit paint and maintenance jobs are done very poorly they charge $2300 for a unit with no fridge. stay away you are better off living somewhere else in the platinum triangle at a luxury place for the same price. the only good thing is the leasing agent terance. also becareful if you want to move out there are no termination clause. its done on purpose so they charge you for the entire lease. they will send it to collection and charge the whole amount. so if you have 10 months left. they will send you a bill for $23,000 and collect it over the years. all other units have a one month termination fee except this one. greedy owners and arnel is a terrible management. read more

Unfortunately, my experience at Hampton Pointe has been extremely disappointing from the beginning. There are many nitpicky points specific to my situation, but I'll share the general highlights: *Residents and Management don't respect assigned parking. I've had more people park in my spot in the last 8 months than my entire 10 years of apt living in LA (including the parking-deprived Westside). The manager had told another resident to park in my spot and at least 2x that person parked there. Those incidents happened to be when someone in the office was there, so they called her and the resident moved it (but the 'offender' was pretty rude about it). I know the manager told the resident, because the manager let it slip on the phone to the resident "you can't park there any more." I had been living there approximately 6 weeks at the time. And, I see that car in several different parking spaces nearby pretty regularly. Another resident did the same thing "just because" in his words. The real problem that time was that it was after-hours and the people handling the HP after-hours line gave me the wrong info 2 and the tow truck people when I finally got through were extremely rude. I only found the resident who parked in my spot when I started knocking on doors because the tow truck driver took 30 mins to call me back (even though his dispatch company said it would be 5 mins - both times I called them). *They've never fixed anything I've requested within 48 hours. It used to take several calls/faxes and threats to tell Arnel before I started submitting fix it requests online; it got a little better then (probably because there's a record). *Most egregiously with not fixing anything, it took several months and 4x fixes before they replaced the horrendous dishwasher that never got anything clean. And, when they did finally agree to replace it, they sent the handy man to tell me when he was driving around that they would come by on a certain day. And, they didn't. And, they were rude about it when I called to complain, as though it were my fault. *Agree with Joshua's post about lack of parking - it's terrible and unacceptable. *Also agree w/Joshua that it's excessive to pay for all utilities. *Agreed 3x w/Joshua that Arnel in general doesn't like to return security deposits. They nickled and dimed me (I was at another property before coming here). *In general, the staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. There are many things I would be willing to overlook if they had staff and managers who acted at least professionally. But, because they are extremely rude all the time, I'm not invested in this complex or the company. Extremely disappointing that their business model relies on churn and not resident loyalty. read more

They will only tell you "sorry there's nothing we can do about that" or "the managers not in until at least 3 days from now" (every time this happened, not one exception.) if you wanna live in a complex that will basically put you up and tell you to shut up until your lease is up, this is your place! read more

Absolutely NOT recommending this place! I just received my deposit back... or should I say a joke of a return.... Yes, I received $1.64 out of my $750.00 deposit! The charges are a joke! Besides the deposit, the parking absolutely sucks! My car was towed by mistake and when I asked the management to help me fight the tow fees they stated that tow company wasn't part of Hampton Pointe apartments and didn't help me! Sounds ridiculous! I didn't know a tow company could just go into private property and remove cars????hmmmmmm !! You won't be making friends with management in the leasing office since they don't seem to last past 3 months. Oh did I mention that parking is horrible! Visitors will have to park a couple of blocks away. Don't rent here. It isn't cheap and you definitely don't get what you pay for. They aren't looking to keep the customer happy that's for sure! Refuses to return security deposit. I was only ever supposed to be a one month tenant; I didn't even have furniture! Only an air matress!

First of all I am a pretty positive person when experiencing or going through new things but living here for a year was the WORST experience ever! First of all my car and my roommates car was broken into twice. Then both of my roommates cars where stolen and there is absolutely no cameras in the parking lots or in the gate entrances. Now if you are going to live here make sure you don't get apartment number M270. Because the downstairs neighbors are old and they will complain about anything or bang on your floor (their roof). I have a 1 year old baby and she wasn't allowed to walk in the living room since she walked to loud and we where always careful and we rarely spent time at the living room or kitchen since they always banged for any little sound. Even if its on the weekend they will tell you to be quiet at 6pm!! One day they even yelled at the people in the apartment across from them just cause they "where loud" and they couldnt here their tv, and guess what? they moved out right away as well.. When we got our apartment everything was old and out dated the oven, the dishwasher nothing was new like the model they showed us. The only good thing is that our garage was bigger then others since it was on the side. Also the landscape is beautiful, the maintenance people are really cool. Also we got 3 parking spaces and that was pretty awesome since you can't really get that anywhere with a two bedroom. Either then that I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. But who knows you may have a better experience than we did. So I guess good luck and remember don't get APARTMENT #M270 stay away!!! trust me... read more

I've had a very good experience while living at Hampton Pointe. I have a west facing apartment (which admittedly gets hot on summer afternoons) in the front of the complex. The office staff and maintenance staff are great. They are quick to help and maintenance issues are taken care of within the same day they are requested. The only issues I have had were that some fluorescent bulbs burned out in the bathroom and kitchen and one of the screens in the window was missing when I moved in. Both issues were addressed within hours. During the time we have lived here, we have never once had an issue with someone parking in our assigned spot, which shows that people are generally courteous and respectful of the rules. On the few occasions I have had to search for an unassigned spot (we have two cars), I have been able to find one within the gated parking area, even if it wasn't very close to my apartment. As another review mentioned, the AC unit is loud and you can hear water running when other apartments are using the showers, but that's white noise and never created an issue for me. As for loud neighbors, that hasn't been an issue at all. Maybe it's due to my apartment location, or due to the people living around me, but I barely hear a peep from my neighbors. The fitness center is a little weak, but there is a 24 hour fitness down the road, and I personally go to Planet Fitness ($10 a month!!) about 3 miles away, and that is sufficient for my needs. The pool and hot tub are wonderful. The pool is kept up really well, and the landscaping around it is great. Overall, living here is a really positive experience. I love the balcony space, how large the apartment is and the dual master arrangement of the 2 bedroom we live in. Two walk in closets make everyone happy!! read more

We have lived here for over a year and I would like tell my experience so far in this complex. Pros: The complex is really nice. The staff is very friendly. Whenever we have a problem with our apartment such as the sink issues or other things, maintenance is there to fix it within an hour or two. The staff has always been very helpful with anything ( I forgot my key once and got locked out and they made me a new one once I provided identification). The laundry rooms are a bit pricey but very clean and I've never had a problem with them. A lot of people complain about security issues and I totally get that because I've seen police on site multiple times, but just speaking from my experience alone, there has never been any issues with our property or cars. Location is pretty great, we walk to angels games and the block at orange quite frequently. The pool is always clean and lots of places to lay out. Cons: Honestly, parking is a pain. We have a one bedroom apartment and get one guaranteed spot and one "open" spot which there aren't very many of so it's by luck if you get one. We've had to park down the street at the gym before but usually the neighborhood across the street has some spots. We would get a garage but it's an extra $100 something a month and I heard there's a waitlist. What makes me most upset is that when we moved in the property was cared for SO well! However I have noticed a decline in this lately. There are spider webs everywhere by our apartment! Seriously everywhere. I kill spiders in the house like everyday. Very annoying. Also I just feel like the grounds very kept up nicer a year ago. Idk that's just my opinion. The noise can be annoying sometimes but that's with any apartment I feel like. I think at all times of the day there is some type of noise going on between babies crying, Disneyland fireworks, and kids partying late at night. Anyways, I've looked at other apartments and I think for the price and the location, it's a great option. Up the street is a seriously beautiful complex but for a one bedroom they want like 1800. The apartments and landscaping are nice. However if you want someone in the management office that got their job based on knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism RUN FROM HAMPTON POINTE. Unfortunately it would seem that the only qualification for both the leasing office and corporate is the mirror test - if you can fog a mirror you can work for Arnel. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but you will be scammed throughout the lease, you won't receive answers and if you do double check them - chances are they will be wrong. We were here for four years and finally decided to move only based on the lack of professionalism at corporate and the leasing office. If you can tolerate "not so bright" staff and the lease pricing going up EVERY year good place to live. read more

I need my AC fixed and they have not fixed it in 2 days... i have been in my apt which is 82 degrees and i am not happy with these living condition...Parking is not good we live in a 2 bed 2 bath and only get one assigned spot... we get home sometimes at 2am or 3 am bc of our job and we never get a spot for our other vehicle which makes us park across the street..... no bueno. up keep is good and property is safe... but if i would of known what i was in store for i would of stayed at the GATEWAY FOR 1890... then HAMPTON POINTE FOR 1515.. this place is a joke..... would you like to stay the night in a 82 degree apt ... i think not?? Today my daughters' car was towed from the leasing office parking area. An additional parking fee was paid for 2 cars to park on the property when the lease was signed. Arriving at the complex after 11 pm from work can be difficult to find parking. This was not the first time parking was not available, and once again unfortunately there was no parking within the gated parking area. Therefore she parked in the only available location which is the leasing office parking. The leasing office had her car towed when the office opened. the towing fee was $337. In addition to my daughter's loss of work time in which she had to call off work to take care of the towing. Needless to say that a simple solution of calling her and asking her to move to an available spot during the morning hours would have worked well. A Simple phone call and 5 minutes would have made everyone happier. However, the leasing agents are nasty, spiteful, unprofessional, and prejudiced. It has not been a pleasant experience in the four months at this property. Do yourself a favor...find another apartment property. I would give them No stars, however that option is not available. I used to live in this apartment complex for 5 years. When I lived there I got to experience living in both the 2 bed x 2 bath and the 1 bed x 1 bath. I liked the complex due to the fact it was nice and only 5 minute drive to where I work and for most of the time people didn't have loud crazy parties all the time. The maintenance team was great and when notified about an issue would fix it in a timely manner. Leading to some complaints I have about this complex. Depending on who took your maintenance request sometimes they would be notified same day or it could be you calling multiple times informing them that the problem was still not fixed. Parking was also a nightmare. If you did not have 2 assign spots after 6 forget finding an open spot. Lastly this should be no surprise but I was warned about this and I should have known from my first time switching units in this complex DO NOT expect to see any of your security deposit. When calling the home office to get answers about your security deposit it took over 3 weeks for them to contact you back. Out of all the time that I lived at this complex I had seen my fair share of property managers. Out of all the managers that were working there Nikki and Danielle were by far the most helpful and when I had a concerned hoped that they were the ones I could speak to since they got things done. read more

The Staff at Hampton Pointe is decent. The amenities and how close to the Disneyland Resort is incredible. There are a couple things wrong with this picture though. The parking is ridiculous. If you have more then one vehicle just plan on buying a tandem spot or a garage. They offer an option to buying an open spot(for $40) but just put that money towards a tandem spot. We have been towed multiple times and the landlords have very little to say about it. We parked on a nearby street and ended up getting a ticket as well. We have been having to leave our vehicle at work and walk home because of the horrible parking situation. We work in hotels and it is not safe for us to be walking home at 3AM by ourselves. The laundry isn't incredibly dependable. The machine charges you $10 to get an amenity card and it isn't a full $10 for laundry half of it is buying the card. The machine is only located in one laundry room and be prepared with only 5's and 10's because it doesn't take 1's and 90% of the time the credit/debit machine does not work to load the card. When we first moved in the fan in the bathroom did not work. The light in the bathroom does not work all the time. Not to mention we have zero smokers in the house and suddenly nicotine was appearing all over our bathroom walls. After sending emails and a phone call still nothing has been fixed. We ended up going to home depot and getting our own light bulb when it burnt out. Finally, we had a rain gutter break and we informed our landlords and maintenance. They claimed they would fix the problems. It had been months before someone finally came and even looked at the rain gutter. Needless to say in the end, we wished we had investigated the complex reviews far more then we had. Management changes constantly the only one consistent is Danielle. Not to mention a really bad theft problem, I've had my car broken into several times. I'm not usually one that immediately jumps on the review band wagon but this time I had to. Especially for those that will run into the parking situation. read more

Brianna and Nikki where both gone for the holiday unfortunately (they always treat me well, so as to not reflect on them whatsoever) so they had a temp in place for the past week or so (week before the 4th of July 2017). Gabby I believe. I came in yesterday looking for Briana or Nikki about another gate remote. Gabby was nice and cordial and instructed me to return today (Friday jun30) in the early afternoon to catch her. Fast forward to the following day and I wake up to an auto theft attempt on my Honda, parked inside the gates in guest parking where I can see it. More on that later. I had to go to work so I filed a police report and headed into work late. I return from work around 1p and headed straight to the leasing office. It was just Gabby there, on a call on her cell phone. I don't get into other people's business, but she was clearly taking a personal call about her job, how well she does, and how she deserves more all while I waited patiently to file a report. She made no attempts to end the call until I stormed out in frustration. I may be overreacting, but I really did not need that today, especially after we were given a day (literally) to decide whether or not to renew our lease (up in oct). Otherwise, we would be charged an extra $250 a month (versus $50 more if we renewed that day). Back to the breakin, I also learned from other residence (including my sister in law who lives with me) that vehicle breakins were common for this place, yet management makes no attempts to up security, even considering what residence pay here. I don't have unreasonable standards for the aspects of my life, but I want some guarantees for my investment into this place, one being peace of mind that my vehicles are safe here. So if you're planning on moving here, know that parking is absolutely insecure. read more

I was very skeptical about staying with Arnel, mainly because not 1 person in the office has ever impressed me. Ive been more impressed with the maintenance guys. When coming to Hampton Pointe my view point completely changed. Remember you pay for what you get but its clean, quiet and friendly. I've been here for a few months, and so far I have had zero problems. It's a quiet complex, everything is always well kept. The managers, Brianna and Nikky always respond to my emails very quickly if I ever have a question. They are awesome and I trust them if I ever have problems. It honestly isn't the worst place I've lived at, but I've seen better as well. For the Anaheim/OC area and working at Disneyland it actually fits my needs pretty well. Rent is pretty fair and the management is great at helping you out. The laundry facility is 24 hours a day which is great. It isn't expensive, but it can get pricey if you have a lot of loads to do. The pool and jacuzzi area are kept pretty clean. For being next to the freeway, it is pretty quiet, but it is AnaCrime as well, so if you keep the windows shut it keeps the noise out for the most part. The only thing is their parking. I wish they had more resident parking available as the first come first serve thing does suck when there isn't enough. I always tell my friends I can't be out past 10 if I'm driving due to no parking here or in the residential area across the street. And another $100 for a garage (and to be added to a waitlist), I'm ok. I rather just take my chances parking somewhere further and getting exercise than having my savings thinned out. Rec center is small, but there's usually only 1 person in there so it is never busy. Other than that though, never really had a problem with them. read more

Okay after reading most of these reviews I sit here and wonder if we are talking about the same place. Yes at first it was a roller coaster when settling down in our new apartment. What really helped us out was how friendly the staff were to us for example both Michelle and Cameron are by far the most professional apartment management team I have ever had to deal with. They are always ready to help you out with whatever concerns you have. The maintaince team is always on top of things and it does not take long for them to fix a problem in your apartment. Okay the only down side is parking for guest and sometimes it can be hard to find a spot if you come home late. The apartment grounds are amazingly kept nice and the pool, spa, club house, fitness center and laundry rooms are always kept clean. I feel like I could go on and on about how amazing this place has been so far. I come to realize I will be renewing my lease for sure. read more
