My friend and I moved in August of last year. This place was in the perfect location for me, since I work right down the street, and he goes to school nearby. That is the only saving grace and reason why we continue to live here. Don't expect to get to know anyone that works in the leasing office, it's a revolving door of incompetency. We first were shown the place by Cameron, who doesn't work there anymore. There's been probably a dozen people since then, I can't keep up. He promised us a dedicated parking space and a garage space. That sounds great! Come move in day, he tells us that we don't have a garage, we have an "open spot", that meaning we have a permanent spot, and another spot that everyone else in the complex shares. Me, being a stupid 22 year old, decided to let it slide, that it wouldn't be a big deal. He told us there's always spots open. That was such a bold faced lie. I generally work at my job from 3PM-11PM. There are rarely, RARELY, spots open when I get home. My roommate also goes to school, and sometimes is out. If we are both out late, then forget it, there's no space. I have to leave my car at work and he'll pick me up, or vice versa, or I have to walk home. People also love to leave their cars strewn all over the complex, just parked on the side of the road and everything seems to be alright. There are 2 laundry units, each with about 8 washers and dryers.. "Great," you must be thinking, "enough for a lot of the units to do laundry at once. No. First off, they aren't coin operated. You have to get a stupid little card and put money on the card like at Dave and Busters. Then, you can use the card on the machines. BUT, there's only 1 spot where you can refill the cards, which is at the laundry location by the leasing office. Great for the people that live in the front, awful for the people, like me, who live in the back. They also love to randomly shut down the laundry near me, so I haven't done mine for some time. And if the card refill thing doesn't work? Looks like you don't get to do any laundry. We live on the third floor with vaulted ceilings. "That sounds nice, big high ceilings!" you're saying to yourself right now. No. It gets to be over 90 degrees in our place. Over 90. My roommate had a Command strip MELT off the wall. There are also bugs EVERYWHERE in this place. Constant flies buzzing around everywhere, ants abound, and spiders. DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF SPIDERS. I can deal with spiders, but I probably kill a spider every other day in this place. The bushes are COVERED in cobwebs, and they get all over inside our apartment as well, which isn't terrible for me, but my roommate is a big baby so I have to kill them all, unless they are on our wonderful vaulted ceilings and I can't reach. No guest parking. The tenants take all the spots. Don't even ask. Your girlfriend can park down the street near the cemetery and get mugged on the way over. We currently have wasps. They don't care. I came in to the leasing office and told them when we went in to renew, and she told me to remind her the next day when we were signing the papers. I told her. Nobody came for the wasps. I had to wear a hoodie and knock the nest off with a broom. They're back though, and I'm sure I'll have to do it again. We live in the back. There's a Starline bus station there. IF YOU DECIDE TO MOVE, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT LIVE IN THE BACK. There are bright floodlights that point directly at your windows, and the buses come and honk their horns and beep ALL NIGHT LONG. Being located right off Orangewood, if you have to leave the complex in the morning, don't. You'll be trapped waiting to make a left to get to the 5 for 30 minutes. Somehow our DOWNSTAIRS neighbors slam doors loud enough for us to hear them. Didn't know that could be a thing. Terrible, rough stone stairs. Be careful, my roommate slipped and fell once. It would suck if he broke a bone or something, because there's no elevator or way up other than these death-traps. The kitchens are ABYSMALLY small. They fool you with what looks like a great pantry, until you open it and find it's about 2 inches deep. Doesn't come with a fridge, so we have to rent one for $35 a month, with a company they so graciously provided. No room for a dining room. We eat everything off the couch/coffeetable. My roommate's car was also recently broken into. When he went to tell the leasing office, they were quick to tell him "We aren't responsible". Upsides? Lots of cute possums running around that you will think is a cat until it makes that awful noise that possums make. Adorable stray cats (Not a joke, they are very, very cute, the momma cat just had kittens). Close to Angel stadium, so you can deal with that traffic. 0/5, do not live here if you have the option. If you can afford it, go somewhere else. They also told me that they'd give me a gift card if we gave them a good review. I think not. read more

My husband and I have been living in these apartments with our two daughters for almost 6 months. We have had HORRIBLE customer service from the apartment manager Nicole Derego. She is rude, she has actually gotten verbally abusive with my husband over him simply informing her that every time we go to her office, she is not in there, rather in her apartment, not doing her job. We have witnessed her getting in loud verbal confrontations with other tenants, simply because she is too lazy and incompetent to do her job. The correspondence we have received from her has atrocious spelling and grammar, it took us both to have to decipher what in the world she was talking about. She is rude, verbally abusive, she has also been known to send threatening text messages to my husband and I, and we feel she is mentally unstable. It was also brought to our attention by another tenant, that her degree from Devry, is fradulent, and she basically has no idea how to write a letter, let alone run an office. How can one run an office, if she is never in it, rather in her house not fulfilling her duties. We are not the only tenants who have suffered her harassment, verbal abuse, and totally unacceptable, unprofessional behavior. We are going to take up a petition to get her removed. We are also going to be contacting her superiors to let then know of her erratic, unprofessional, unacceptable behavior. She is not qualified for this job and has had many verbal altercations with numerous tenants without any sort of discipline or consequences. Please do all the tenants a favor, and remove this mentally unstable woman as our manager. read more

upper management is so hard to work with especially Jim. He shows zero empathy and extremely dry on the phone. It took me several days to get in contact with him but I wish i never talked to him. The place is extremely over priced and os not worth it all. Very old apartments and tons of issues inside the unit paint and maintenance jobs are done very poorly they charge $2300 for a unit with no fridge. stay away you are better off living somewhere else in the platinum triangle at a luxury place for the same price. the only good thing is the leasing agents terance and carlos. Also becareful if you want to move out there are no termination clause. its done on purpose so they charge you for the entire lease. they will send it to collection and charge the whole amount. so if you have 10 months left. they will send you a bill for $23,000 and collect it over the years. all other units have a one month termination fee except this one. greedy owners and arnel is a terrible management. read more

My lease is up in a couple of days and I'm really going to miss this place! I have to move out due to a family issue but otherwise I would have loved to stay. Mostly because of the staff here at Hampton Pointe ( especially Nikkie ). They make sure any issues are taken care of immediately and are always there to help. They have made my move in and move out a piece of cake! Im really going to miss these guys! The apartments are nice and amenities are a plus. Only issue can be parking but it has improved alot since the first couple months. None the less youre close to everything from disneyland to walking distance from the angels stadium! I highly recommend you move in here if you get the chance, you wont regret it! read more

It's been a peaceful, clean place to live. Our Home Studio is full of Light- great work at home space. Thanks to the location manager Denise for being to helpful each year and having our back. The neighbors usually go to her. Nikki was difficult and I'm not surprised she got fired. We have to go to Denise Because she has been the one removing any unsafe tenants who are involved with criminal activities and not renewing people who are disrespectful to the community. They keep the place save and I truly have all ways felt safe here. Looks like the bad reviews are from people that have gotten kicked out because of problems. My finance' and I have been residents at Hampton Pointe for a year in July and we are grateful to be in our apartment community. All of the Service reps have made our stay extremely comfortable by keeping our facilities clean and safe. Nicole, our property manager is very hands on with assisting her residents and makes sure that things get done quickly. I am grateful that she takes the initiative to troubleshoot everyday and/or emergency issues that arise in managing a large property like ours. She is very personable with us and we truly love her personality. We have signed our lease early and are very happy to be residents under her care. read more

I have been in this apartment for 2 months now. Will update my review later. However, my experience has been very pleasant . Briana helped my move in process so easy. She answers her email quickly, so if you can't reach her by call, email Hampton. Brianna or Nikki will answer emails as soon as they get to the office. You can email or discuss with them the location of your apartments, they will try to compromise. Communication is the key. Discuss, talk to Brianna or Nikki about your concerns or request. I have been living here over a year. I just renew another 12 months. I must say the rent for 2 bed and 2 bath are totally reasonable, complex is beautiful, clean and great locations. staff are friendly and professional...Since,Danielle has started six month ago, everything has improved so much better. Evidently, work order and request have taken care right away. She has a excellent customer and management skills! Not but not least she is absolute keeper! I have lived at Hampton Pointe for two years now and it has been nothing short of amazing. Nikkie is the best property manager, she is very friendly and welcoming . She along with the rest of the staff are very responsive and helpful with any problem I have had. The maintenance crew are awesome as well, the are super quick and fix any problem the first time often the following day. Avoid renting from one of Arnel's properties. If you want to live in one of their apartments, be prepared for utility disasters, property damage and constant harassment, big threats over minor lease infractions, and complete hypocrisy when they are the ones violating the agreement. On-site manager is ok (they switch them around a lot so everyone can think things will be different under their authority, when in fact Arnel does not grant them sufficient authority to make any real decisions). Just avoid this company and you wont be sorry! read more

Great place to live! I work the night shift so I get home around 4 am and have never felt unsafe walking around at those hours. It's very peaceful here and I've had no issue sleeping during the day. The property is well maintained and always smells fresh. When our air conditioning went out during the hottest week of the summer, one of the managers (I think her name was Denise) made sure to get it fixed the very next day! Definitely recommend living here! read more

Hampton Pointe is a nice place to live. The apartment was ready to go when my roommates and I moved in. Any maintenance problems we had in the apartment where taken care within the same day! The staff is very friendly especially, Brianna and Nikkie were both very helpful in answering questions that we had. Pretty quiet apartment complex for a busy area. This is one of the nicer apartments in town especially the pool area. Everything is super clean and it's nice to be able to relax in the hot tub after a long day of work and just enjoy my free time with some of my awesome neighbors.
