I recently had a stroke (at 52) while up on an extension ladder, falling 11 feet and aquiring three brain bleeds. This was at 9 on a Sunday night. I didnt wake up in the hospital until Thursday afternoon. An elderly friend picked me up who is not their customer so when someone unknown went in to pick up my meds, which included controlled meds, the pharmacist, En Ling, promptly came out to the car to verify my presence and get my permission to hand them to my friend. After having been their customer for several years, I can safely say that this is not service I would have received at any of the big national chains. They are all invested in furthering my better health and overall success. I can say without equivocation that they are the best pharmacy I have ever had! I thought we could transfer all emergency medication issued by Sutter Health (just across the street) to Hammer Lane Pharmacy rather than Walgreens. All our other prescriptions are handled by another pharmacy that we have been using for over 20 years. So yesterday my doctor ordered a prescription. I went in to pick up my prescription and I was told by the clerk, that they want me to change all my prescriptions to them before they can fill prescriptions in the future. Of course I told them it will not happen. With the abrupt closing of Save Mart Pharmacies people were forced to go elsewhere for medications. People were asking about various pharmacies in the area especially on social media. One ask was about Hammer Lane Pharmacy and how was the service there. Since my wife had transferred her medications there I had had experience in dealing with this place. The experience left MUCH to be desired. It was obvious they were in no way prepared to take on this much business at that point. I reported this on social media. I was not rude...I did not mention anyone by name. I simply related my experiences. I did relate that scrips called in and promised by a certain time were NOT completed and I had to make multiple trips to secure the meds. This was but one of the issues related. This caused an issue with the pharmacist/owner. He took great offense that I had simply related my experiences with his business. He said maybe...MAYBE... note the word...I should take my business elsewhere. He did NOT tell me too just suggested! So I tried to refill three scrips for my wife as she was nearly out. Their automated system took the request and I went to pick them up at the appointed time. The pharmacist said he would not fill them. Imagine being so infantile as to say NO like some petulant child. So I asked/told him to transfer to CVS. He said he would. That was yesterday 11/26 and he said he would do it then. I checked with CVS today and they had received no such request. Imagine that!!! Needless to say I will NEVER do a cent's worth of business with his pharmacy again and I will tell EVERYONE I know of my experience with this business. Prescription is never ready. Wait times are horrible and they can never find my prescription . My provider has to send it over multiple times and she sends me a copy of the fax receipt stating it was successful. The staff is not friendly. I left Safeway pharmacy because this was closer to my home. I'm going to switch back to Safeway. My last RX was only partially filled and haven't heard back from them. read more

Don't bother trying to refill medications for your loved one, they give you the run around. They tell you to call the nurse and then Bristol tells you to call them which I did, got transferred to the pharmacy then tell you call nurse. lol. Big circle. tried to get a booster shot, I was one day early so could not, I then went back and the do other vaccines but only do boosters Mon-Fri then I tried since this morning to get my meds and the doctor said they had her on hold forever would not let her refill for the time she wanted and they didn't even tell her that they don't have the medication even in stock and have to order it. They seem really disorganized today too. I never cursed at his staff as he says and he is lying about that. I did cuss one word when I was at the door walking out but not at your employees just cussed out of frustration but you don't even mention that you stopped me from being able to get my meds from someplace else with my insurance forcing me to have to pay 25.00 cash for 7 pills. You don't mention that and why lie about cussing at your employees when I did not. Also, I am not new I have had other prescriptions, and also the doctor had to CALL you guys, and when she called and even told me that you guys put her on hold a long time and then she was really annoyed because she said why they didn't just tell me they didn't have the meds in stock when she was on the phone. She also tried to call in a 7-day prescription and since you don't stock in you guys made her submit a 30 request. Your response back to me here is full of lies. I truly like this pharmacy. it's the people that work there. You really get the local family owned feeling. I had expressed to Amir how his pharmacy is one of the only places I've seen the family Aspect or good part of Stockton. I've been living here for a year and absolutely can't wait to leave but in the meantime it's nice and comfortable to have a place that feels like home. I've continued to have issues with my doctor getting the exact amount prescribed and with the way they regulate drugs these days it's been hell at times. They took care of me. They have continued to and I will always fill here. Please if you go to the standard CVS and wait for hours just be treated like a POS or a drug addict, definitely get out of there and go see Amir. Cost the same and I get a text when my prescription is filled. Also they aren't so big and understaffed that they can't find your prescription or lie to you and tell you it will be an hour only to come back three hours later and they don't know who you are. Just want to share a very unpleasant experience with this pharmacy. I registered online and booked an appointment for my son to get a COVID-19 vaccine. I took my son to the pharmacy today with a valid vaccine appointment confirmation email/voucher; the staffs inside the pharmacy just told us that they don't have the vaccine available in the store so they can't do anything about it. I told them that I booked the appointment online and got the confirmation email, if things changed, they should inform the customer so they don't have to come for nothing. One of the staff simply said that a online appointment does not guarantee the vaccine will be available at the date of appointment, he keeps saying that it is not their fault and they are not responsible for any customer who drove more than two hours to the store and just found out that there is nothing there; they make it sounds that it is our fault not to call to confirm the vaccine availability. I just can't believe how this pharmacy is treating their customers, no apology at all!! What a terrible place!! read more
