Roy at PawPaw is truly amazing and the only person I trust. I came home to a beautiful, clean and better dog than when I left!! It's like she remembers her early training again-- she sits on command, is quiet on command (now HOW did you do that??!!) and is just perfect!! Holy cow!! Roy sends pictures and videos every day so you know that she is safe and happy. I loved seeing her "tucked in" at night with the other pups. My dogs are both super high energy, and they always seem to return relaxed from their stays. I like that there are certain activities they do with the dogs and that they video / photograph it daily. I do feel like a live camera would be nice but I understand that can bring more complications. Lastly, their actual place has gotten WAY nicer since I first went there. This is a review for Boarding at Club K9 in Castro Valley / San Ramon…read more We will not send our dog there again based on this experience on a 5 night stay from 6/27 to 7/2. This was not over a holiday weekend. Consistent messaging by email (after night 1) and phone from Club K9 staff was that Mira was having a great stay - we were notified that she wet her crate/dog bed the first night, but we weren't worried as that could've been a switch from dry to wet dog food. When we returned to pick her up - we were told that she had a great stay! But we were then told later that she had a second accident where she fully soiled her dog bed with diarrhea, likely due to the stress of being in the crate, and an employee handed out some extra prebiotics to help over the next few days. She also had a fairly large nose injury from rubbing it on the crate/fences. No one from Club K9 noticed the injury over the 5 day period or let us know - the reaction from the employee when shown the injury was "oh my god, we have no records of this!" with an off-the-cuff recommendation not to send her to this facility in the future. I have no issue with the facility's standard operating procedure of crating the dogs overnight- we were told and shown the facility in advance. I have significant concerns that staff are emphatically optimistic on every dog's "reports" when that optimism is unwarranted. Honesty that Mira wasn't having a good stay would have been appreciated- we would have made a call to have a friend pick her up for the last night or two. We will take the employee's advice and not send her to Club K9 in the future. Staff's evident ignorance of concerning issues, or lack of care to proactively address the situation, all while telling owners that everything is fine is too much for us.

The kennels they have are spacious and allows the dog to run a little bit. I have used other kennels where the dogs are kept in tiny enclosures, by the time I get the dog, the dogs just look sad. Play time and bath time are also options here. The staff are always nice. The best part and I know they really care, my dog forgets I am there when I drop him off and doesn't want to go home when it's time to leave. Dog and owner approve.

She happily wags her tail when she arrives and just as happily wags when leaving. Many of the staff members recognize her and know her name. We think she's comfortable with staff and gets plenty of attention. I think that it also helps that we pay for daily playtime. When we arrive, we bring one of her "donut" beds, some "fresh" food and some kibble along with her favorite toy. On longer stays, we also give her one of my worn t-shirts, so she doesn't forget who we are. We often see her picture taken during playtime on the Dublin Creek Kennel website. Unlike some kennels where all the dogs run in packs based on size and temperament, dogs here only run together if they're from the same family.

During our initial visit, she was very professional and helpful, and the facility seemed well run. We ultimately chose a home-based daycare for our 6-month-old puppy and canceled well in advance. In October 2025, I paid a $855 deposit via Zelle to reserve boarding and requested a refund after canceling. After multiple follow-ups, I was told the refund would be processed. I was later informed that the refund had been sent to the wrong person and would be corrected, with a commitment that it would be completed by February 18, 2026. Unfortunately, I never received it, and there has been no resolution since. I've attempted to follow up via phone (calls are no longer being accepted), WhatsApp (messages are read but not responded to), and email, but have not received any response. At this point, I am still waiting on the refund and have had to pursue formal channels to resolve this. I hope this can be resolved promptly.

When I brought him in I was worried and had to tell her again that he is high energy to make sure everything would be ok. She met him and took him in and made sure I left feeling confident. She told me if he was uncomfortable she would take him home with her so he would be able to sleep. 100% would recommend Hailey. (If you're planning to board during the holidays, I highly recommend reserving weeks, maybe months for major holidays). In the rush of going to the Sunol to beat the 680 rush hour traffic - I completely forgot my dog's food, bed and toys at home ‍. I was too far out to turn around. Once I arrived, I explained my situation and asked if they had any in-house food and how much it would cost. They were so gracious and told me that the can take of the food for 3 nights at no charge - thank you so much!! They'll also make sure to add extra blankets on our dog's pet. I highly recommend this place, and it's always my go-to place for boarding in the South Bay. Been boarding our dog here the past 4 years!
