I reached out to Brandon after a highly recommended K9 trainer left my dog with more anxiety when we were looking for help with confidence issues. While the other trainer negatively impacted my dogs confidence, with Brandon's guidance we have been able to take some steps in the direction to where it doesn't feel hopeless. Brandon is very knowledgeable. He takes the time to make sure you understand why you're doing what you're doing. He's great at communicating how and why you need to communicate with your dog. It's all about building your relationship. We'd been struggling with some territorial issues with our dog, before the confidence issues. Other trainers told us we needed to work on obedience and compliance. Our dog was very obedient, he just didn't care if we were near home. Brandon helped us work through that. He's not heavy handed, unlike other trainers who are, which damages your relationship with your dog. Due the the other trainer, our dog developed anxiety in the car, with unsafe pacing. We've made huge progress with this, due the Brandon. Our dog is doing better, being able to listen while being stressed, making him much less of a hazard in the car. We went from feeling like we had failed our dog, to having some semblance of having happy life for him.

I have decades of experience fostering dogs and personally adopting many of my own, and over the years I've worked with a wide range of trainers. Without question, Steve is in a league entirely of his own. His talent, intuition, and depth of understanding when it comes to dogs is extraordinary. He doesn't just train dogs; he teaches humans how to truly understand them. What made the experience even more unforgettable was the joy he brought into the day. We laughed constantly. At one point my cheeks genuinely hurt from hours of smiling and laughter. And yet, amid all of that warmth and humor, we walked away with an incredibly clear, grounded, and practical understanding of his methods and a deep sense of confidence in our ability to apply them. Steve's approach is refreshingly doable: just five minutes of training per day, paired with his ongoing availability as a resource. That combination alone feels invaluable. We literally just completed our training day today, so I plan to update this review in a few months with more detail about long-term ease of execution and results with our dog, Griffin. But one thing I feel compelled to share now is this: throughout the entire day, even while Griffin was dramatically protesting (vocally, and with flair), Steve remained calm, steady, and completely unfazed. Griffin didn't love everything he was being asked to do, but he clearly adored Steve. He never cowered, never shut down, never showed fear. That level of trust speaks volumes. At one point, I asked Steve about scheduling an additional training day for one of our other dogs. His response was thoughtful, sensible, and deeply ethical: he told me it wouldn't be necessary. He explained that the principles I was learning with Griffin would absolutely apply to our other dogs as well, and that he'd be more than happy to answer questions along the way. That moment really matters to me because it so clearly reflects that Steve is driven by genuine passion and care for people and dogs, not by squeezing every possible dollar out of his clients. I also want to wholeheartedly acknowledge Tasha, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and compassionate throughout the scheduling process. We had to cancel our original training day due to a traumatic injury our other dog, Enzo, sustained: a spinal stroke. Tasha immediately offered to refund our deposit without hesitation. When I shared that I still very much wanted to work with Steve, she later went out of her way to find us an earlier date than originally offered after I asked to be notified of any cancellations. That level of care and humanity meant so much during a really difficult time. I am profoundly grateful for Steve and his entire team. This was one of the most positive, affirming, and empowering experiences I've ever had as a dog guardian. If you're looking for the best, congratulations. You have found it with One Day Dog Training!

From the start.. Finn really took to Steve. Steve is personable, knowledgeable, and patient. His love for dogs is felt. He put our minds at ease from the start. Through the training, Steve took time to teach us how to better understand dog behavior and how we can better communicate what we want our dog to do...It was very enlightening. It was an education for us and Finn! At the end of our 3 hour session, we were really amazed to see a transformed young dog. We are soooo proud of Finn. The 3 of us have learned so much! Before using the…read moretank, I was told to check it, but when I decided to return it, the return was refused because I had not retained the original packaging. The problem is that the packaging requirement was printed in faded fine print, and the aquarium packaging did not seem possible to open without cutting through and destroying it. I understand that stores have return policies, and I try to be very patient with customer service staff. However, this situation felt unreasonable because the requirement was not clearly communicated and the packaging itself made compliance impractical. What bothered me most was the manager's dismissive response when I tried to explain the situation. When I asked whether there was someone I could speak with about the details, she simply said, "I'm the only manager in the store," and as I stood there visibly surprised by how abruptly the conversation had gone, she then asked me to hold my receipt, without acknowledging my concern or offering any explanation beyond the packaging issue. I left feeling that the policy was applied in a rigid way and that my concern was not treated respectfully. I would caution other customers to inspect return requirements very carefully before opening aquarium products, because the packaging may be impossible to preserve. I used to visit this PetSmart, but now am very unlikely to return. That manager could have volunteer a number of different words that would have made the exchange much more respectful and empathetic - instead, it made me incredulous that someone with that attitude was the choice for a manager. ( I do have to say that whoever helped me with my aquarium selection a couple weeks prior in the fish department was EXTREMELY kind and helpful ) - I think that manager has something to learn from that employee. Perhaps they should swap jobs.

Your pets are in for a treat, literally and figuratively, with a visit to Pet Food Express!…read more With aisles filled with pet food, treats, toys and other supplies, you'll find all that you'll need here to keep your little furry friends fed, happy, and learning. The variety of food options from different suppliers and manufacturers give you plenty of choices to consider. If you're experimenting with different diets and meal combinations, this is a great place to build up your inventory in small batches at home. You'll find wet and dry varieties for both canines and felines but you'll also find feed for smaller critters as well. Their collection of treats and snacks is also immense. You'll find at least 4 aisles dedicated to chews for canines including horns, hoofs, antlers, bones, and hides. Biscuits, dried fish and produce blends, and jerky are also very common here with multiple brand options available. For biscuit and cookies, you'll also be able to purchase them by weight if you're looking for smaller amounts. They may vary in ingredients and design but they all seem very intact and organized. In addition to the edibles, your pets will grovel at all the toys and supplies to help them learn, play, walk, and be comfortable. From leashes, harnesses and boots for walks to beds, grass pads, and toys for home bodies, you'll be able to shop and buy all of them in person. Prices don't seem too much off from online prices but the benefit here is that you'll be able to bring it home with you right away while supporting a local business. You'll also find a self washing station here where many guardians take their furry pals to get cleaned up. The basins are quite large to accommodate larger animals and despite being self service, it seems to be kept pretty clean. The staff were also great during our visit. They gave warm greetings and were on task, keeping the place clean, organized and stocked. Management has done a great job building a good working culture here! Overall, Pet Food Express is for sure where you'll find your pet necessities quickly, but due to the variety of items, by no means would you want to leave quickly. The available supplies and extent of options give you plenty to look through. If you're looking for something specific, the staff are available to help and fortunately prices are reasonable, so you and your pets will stroll out happy!

Before paying, my husband asked if they could try the wash first since we weren't sure whether to purchase a single wash or take advantage of the "Buy 3, Get 1 Free" special. The process was very easy--shampoo and aprons were provided, and they had 25 minutes to wash our pup. This was more than enough time to thoroughly clean our 100lb husky and use the air-dry hose. The only reason we opted for just one wash instead of the bundle was the drying system. While the air-dry hose is a nice feature, it wasn't strong enough for our husky's thick coat. We'll be looking for a place with heated dryers, but if those don't work out, we'd be happy to return here. Thank you for the great service and for cleaning up after our very hairy pup!

Before working with Beth, walking Gambit was pure stress. He'd lunge at every dog, squirrel, jogger and even leaves. Anything that moved. I dreaded every walk and it got to the point where I was avoiding walks altogether, which wasn't fair to him or me. I felt like we were stuck in a vicious cycle and I was failing as an owner. Then I found Beth and from our consultation her approach was firm, clear, and incredibly effective. She didn't sugarcoat things and set expectations right away, and Gambit responded immediately. The transformation was FAST. I decided to take the basic obedience package and after the first session our walks are now genuinely enjoyable. What we like most is that Beth doesn't just train the dog she explains why every technique works. If you ask (and I did, a lot), she'll break down the reasoning behind her methods and the psychology, the timing, the consistency, so you understand how to maintain the progress yourself. It's empowering and makes the results stick. Her methods are firm but fair, never harsh, and always focused on building a better relationship between you and your dog. If you're on the fence, do yourself a favor and reach out to Beth. She's worth every penny and then some. Gambit and I are forever grateful. Beth gets a 10/5 from us--highly, highly recommend! This review is based on my experience back in Fall 2021. My puppy was 3-4 months at the time... we went to maybe 5 of the training classes and by that point, were so frustrated across the board that we never came back. Reasons for my 1-star review: -HUGE class sizes with 1 trainer. Supposed to be a class for puppies less than 1 year old but that was definitely not the case for many of the dogs. Not only was the trainer not able to give anyone individual attention, but my puppy was unable to handle this level of distractions at this age. The class is one-size-fits-all, no matter how young/old your pet is, maturity, size, behavior. We couldn't even get our dog to focus on us, definitely not able to train any behaviors. Clearly some older dogs were doing much better than ours but they shouldn't have even been in the same class. -Really dirty parking lot where the weekday trainings took place, which was even more concerning because my puppy was not fully vaccinated at this point. They didn't seem to be worried about it, but we were on high alert as this was also the parking lot of a PET STORE. Which meant a lot of feces everywhere and always a risk of disease or virus for puppies. -Training style was very harsh and not positive reinforcement. Did not let us use our harness and forced us to jerk our puppy's collar to get her to listen. That might work for some dogs, but ours was so crazed by all the dogs that she wouldn't even realize she was choking herself. Finally when we showed this to the trainer multiple times, he agreed maybe another tactic would be better for her. -Even worse than training style, EXTREMELY rude and aggressive owner (we're pretty sure it was the owner). It's one thing to coach us, it's another thing to force yourself and your style on us. Due to all the issues above, we started taking our puppy to the training and just standing on the outside - not actually participating in the training but just trying to practice on her focusing on us with all the distractions. For some reason, the owner didn't accept this and cornered us with his dog and tried to force his training tactics on her, which we were actively avoiding and it felt like he was trying to intimidate us. All to say, we didn't return after this. To be fair, I don't blame the trainer - I think he was doing the best with what he was given, but the program needs a serious revamp and the owner needs an attitude adjustment.

I would leave -10 stars if I can. Very bad experience with my puppy sending here for training. The…read moretrainers dog often attacks my puppy and they never seem to care. When first time the trainers dog caught my puppy's ear tight enough for him to get hurt and my puppy cried in pain . They said nothing to their dog nor never put them on leash. After three weeks the trainers dog bit my puppy again this time it was bad enough to hurt with a big pierce in his ear and lot of bleeding. My puppy cried loud and was scared a-lot to come out his father's hands for a very long time. NOW MY QUESTION :- when they cannot train their own dog how can they correct and teach other dogs ?? My advice to all new puppy owners please be aware and dont go here for your puppy training!
