Food was so salty, I mean everything was. The katsu chicken had a black overly salty sauce on it. I couldn't eat it. The cucumber salad was watery you couldn't even taste the rice vinegar on it. Our Billy roll came out as we were all done and paying. The servers were not friendly at all. We got there just before dinner rush started and were the only ones there. The place was packed just 30 mins later, though. The waitress was amazing and handled all the extra tables perfectly. The food was on point, and our toddler even devoured the sushi and ramen with us. Even with the crowds growing, it wasn't loud or overstimulating. HAMACHI in Lehi is a new sushi & ramen spot that took over the old spot "SOBO". This chef knows what he is doing with the way he cares for the fish. This is the first place that has served me the Ama Ebi (shrimp) so perfectly with the heads deep fried. The roll we had was "Kill Bill" - so neatly rolled. And the chicken kaarage, gyoza and mixed tempura was perfectly fried, lots of flavor! I really love that they serve you freshly grated wasabi and not the hard old stuff. Heads up they do bind the nigiri slices with wasabi, and if you aren't ready it can be a punch of spice. I love it though!! Service was stellar too. I found this place while looking for sushi spots close to the office. I had absolutely no expectations whatsoever given this place is in Lehi/Traverse mountain and historically we've only had Tsunami as an option which isn't ideal for sushi but saw this place roll up. Again, no expectations whatsoever but man was I pleasantly surprised!!! I'm a huge fan of poke as a lunch option and this was certainly one of the best I've had especially in Lehi area. I'm not just comparing it to Lehi area, it's also overall just pretty good and I was just overall quite impressed with the quality of fish and everything about the place. I have been here twice now and brought coworkers back the second time and it will now certainly be my go to spot for sushi while I'm at the office. The ambiance is quite nice and quiet enough to do a business lunch which is perfect without having to yell at each other and service has been fine both times. The only downside is that they are a little slow to get food out but it's made up for in the quality of the food so I'd recommend just planning for extra time. It's normally taken 20-25 mins both times to get food both times for a table of 2-3 so I'd just plan accordingly. Both times I had an hour and it was cutting it close, I think an hour and 15 mins would feel the best to sit down, order, wait, eat and then leave. 1.5 hours with drive time back to the office if you're in the area. Overall I'll be back for sure- very happy to have found a new sushi/ramen/bento spot that's actually quite good in Lehi that isn't a chain. read more

Pretty decent place to get sushi in Lehi. A little overpriced and we actually loved the previous Sobo sushi before this business replaced it. We had to wait 20 min for group of two seeing there were more than 4 tables available. Our server was really nice and attentively making sure everything was great. The host in the front could put a little smile upon greeting customers because that's pretty important on giving your guests what to expect. So I don't really ever leave reviews, but the food we had tonight at Hamachi was fantastic! We absolutely love good sushi, and this was our first time visiting here. We ordered several rolls, a nigiri assortment, uni, and a bowl of the tonkatsu ramen. The ramen and Sunset roll arrived first, and we were all sharing, we dug right in. Let's just say we all sat back, stunned! The fish was fresh, the rice was perfect, and the ramen was on point! We were all just surprised at how good this was! At this point, we decided we needed pictures of what came next to send to our family because this place was worth a visit. The remaining rolls, nigiri and uni came next, and things just got better! Each piece of nigiri was perfect! Beautiful and so fresh! The uni was like tasting the ocean! Creamy and decadent. And the rolls were just so good! This place is new, and definitely worth a visit. Found this place close by after a half day of shopping. Was only a little over a mile away from the outlet mall. Good reviews on Yelp so we went. Arrived and saw the place was empty and it was almost 7pm. Hmmmm?.... Asked if we beat the crowd and was told it's a slow night. We were the only ones there so we ordered some food. Place was nice and clean and well spaced out. So we ordered something from the small plates (Agedashi tofu) and the Tonkotsu ramen with added shiitake mushrooms and the Playboy roll. Wanted the food to all come out at the same time and it did, yay . Ho brah, the food looked awesome and pretty. The presentation fed my eyes and my mouth was ready to taste the delights. The Playboy roll was shrimp tempura and avocado and topped with spicy mayo and tobiko. The tonkotsu ramen was the skinny noodles and the portion size is deceiving. The little bowl contained enough for two people or one hungry braddah. The agedashi tofu is fried with a crispy coating and topped with bonito flakes. Going back to the ramen, it also had some black garlic oil. The shiitake mushrooms were cooked in a sweet soy sauce and that added a whole new taste to mushrooms. If you don't like meat, order the shiitake mushrooms topping, it's almost like meat. The pork was also grilled and added a char taste. I could eat just the pork with two scoops rice and Kim chee for a good meal. Dessert was a frozen three chocolate mousse. Go to this place, the food is first rate and ono. read more

I'm not the one to normally leave a review but I feel that my experience was less than mediocre and it called for a review. The service wasn't impressive! Server and host weren't very warm to begin with. Then the rolls (Vegas & Jazz) ended up being pretty spicy. I had specifically asked for a recommendation for my 5 & 3 year old boys. Unfortunately the roll was even too spicy for me! definitely not your typical "Spicy Mayo" beware everyone. Normally spicy mayo isn't that spicy! I've been to more sushi places than I can count and never had a Vegas roll lit my mouth up that way! The sunset roll tasted too Salty and the Miso soup and Edamame weren't anything special. It was a Valentines dinner for my boys and I and was looking forward to it, sadly left unimpressed and feeling the opposite of how anyone would want to feel after spending $80 on dinner. The worst part was how annoyed the server seemed when I asked for a different roll. Anyway, hate to be that person but here I am because I wish I would have know :( & to be honest the food could have been terrible and if the service had been decent I wouldn't be leaving this review.
