Lots of shade, big sites, signs everywhere to find your way, TONS of trails, dog friendly, friendly staff.. Bunker beach is walking distance, the activity/event center is gorgeous. There are stables at the regional park as well as the stunning golf course that we did not use. Just absolutely beautiful grounds. Bring a bike or take some long hikes. Maps are well marked and so much to see! Our California campgrounds are not this green and lush or have sites so spacious so we LOVED that! The BAD: Spiders (Daddy long legs) everywhere.. we sprayed eco friendly bug spray each day around the picnic table, tent and trailer and helped a bit.. but after 3 spiders on the window curtain next to my bed in he RV and a big old spider ON my bed.. I had a big more compassion for my boys in the tent with too many of them to count on top of the tent. Bathrooms - need to be cleaned as the sinks were pretty gross on most occasions. The water in the shower? I froze for all 3 showers and there is no way to control the hot/cold, no water pressure (which is kind of common at campgrounds) but not even a spray.. just a slow trickle/stream from the shower except in the family bathroom, a faint spray (also cold). Oddly, my boys showered once in the men's showers and said it was too hot, they had to get out. The showers were also unpleasant with spiders everywhere, moths flying at you from every direction. There were grasshoppers in abundance as well, but the moths were pretty disgusting. The GOOD FAR FAR outweigh the BAD and definitely recommend a stay here. It IS camping so just expect a lot of bugs around and you won't be disappointed!

No thanks to the filthy conditions of the many cabins we had paid for in addition to the main lodge. Hair in showers, toilets overflowing with crap (as in feces, shit, poop...well you get the idea). Had it not been for my awesome sister who arrived early AND DID HER BEST TO POWER CLEAN SAID CABINS AND LODGE, we would have been unable to eat, sleep or even keep our eyes & nasal passages open. The staff was and still is unresponsive to our disdain and will certainly never see us again! It's a shame. A real, real shame because it's situated in a absolutely beautiful part of this fine state, loads of trees & a pristine view of Green Lake. "You sho have a purdy mouth." Ugh...

My husband and I camped at MRRV Park from July 5 to August 5th ,2023, because my husband had a job in the area. We signed a lease that went through October 15th. We agreed that the lot's owner could find another renter after we left with the condition that some of our money would be refunded. Shortly after we left, my husband found out he had a second job in the twin cities. We tried to contact the owner many times to see if any other renters were lined up. Only by contacting the park board did we find that the lot had been rented out 2 days after we left. The lot's owner refuses to return any money for the 9 extra weeks we paid for! My husband had to rent a hotel room The RV Park board refuses to help so we are going to court.

Phenominal Place! This is one of those rare moments when a five star rating is not enough. It…read morewould rate it so much higher than many of my other five stars because of the unbelieable hosts, delicious breakfast, clean rooms, super comfortable bedding, and breathtaking rooms. Unbelievable! This place is well worth the price. The private bathrooms are spectacular. Between the eucalyptus steam shower with a myriad of water features and the jacuzzi type soaking tub, we could barely tear ourselves away from our personal spa time to go to dinner. We love the fact they have no tv's in the rooms but an awesome speaker/disc system for music of your choice and a refrigerator full of drinks. They had snacks available upon our check in and I would highly recommend the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for an additional $5 - YUM! The best part of our moring was the delicious breakfast served right to your room. OH My! We loved our breakfast (see picture) and the homemade scones were SO good. We came here to celebrate our 29th Anniversary in February and we weill be back for a summer visit and of course, many more anniversaries. This place made our anniversary special. Thank you Tom and Sandy.

The Mansion is beautiful, a real mix of old and new.. so you get history.. but still really nice bathrooms and big bedrooms It's about three blocks further than the other highly rated one in town and well worth the extra travel. We were greeted by our gracious hosts, Tom and Sandy. We made it just in time for the afternoon snack.. you know.. wine, cheese etc... with time to enjoy the large veranda. In fact, we were there for three nights and made extensive use of the veranda.. at breakfast, in the afternoon and in the evening. Tom and Sandy are good about seating you with people that are a good match.. or if you prefer.. alone.. there is plenty of space. You can even have food delivered to your room. We played croquet on the grounds (yes, they have ample parking, gorgeous landscaping, a fountain and a place to play croquet) it was fun, but when my wife kept beating me I decided it was time to try something else. (I grew up in the city, what do I know about croquet?) Back to the breakfast thing.. one day the whole area suffered a power outage so they fired up the grill and cooked us our breakfast. No big deal, it was excellent. We stayed in the Joseph room, but were able to view all except one and they were all very nice. We had a King sized bed (super comfortable) and an oversized bathroom.. a big tub with jets and a shower that I needed the instructions (laminated) to use.. so many sprayers. As we spoke with the other guests.. we were all in agreement that this is a really remarkable Bed and Breakfast. Tom and Sandy's labor of love really shines. A great value.

I figured it would be dirty and dumpy like most cheap weekly rate motels, but i was pleasantly surprised. Although it is an old motel, it is the cleanest motel I've ever been in. When they clean your room, you get all new bedding, fresh rugs and replace all the linens. Not just towels and sheets like other places. Thank God, there are not bugs here! They have a dock with really great fishing, a bonfire area, and I believe they even do small boat and kayak rentals. The staff have been wonderful. There is a laundromat on the property as well. If you need a place to stay for a week or two, you cant beat it for only 275$! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend it to anyone needing a temporary home.

Once we got to our room we were immediately overwhelmed with the smell of dirty socks and rancid beer. There was peanuts and trash on the floor and a "mystery" wet spot. To top it all off, someone's artificial nails were picked off and left in the nightstand. There was nowhere else for us to go because all places in a 50 mile radius were booked (Labor Day weekend). Needless to say, we spent most of the night in our car until we were exhausted and went and slept on the bed with our linens and pillows. In the morning, the awful smells were overpowering the tree air fresheners we had hung in the room. We left ASAP and will never go back, even if we were paid.

The women's washroom was clean. I realized that I had been here eons ago. It looked and felt the same. There were a few maps for me to look at. I liked the scenic byways map better than the you-are-here one. What stands out about this rest stop are the vending machines. There were five of them. You could get everything from snacks, to hot and cold beverages. I liked the variety. The hot beverages one was cool. It had hot chocolate. I wasn't in the mood for a hot drink, but I'd like to try it someday and see if it's any good. This rest stop has picnic tables and lots of trees. It would be the perfect spot to have a brief picnic in the summertime. If you've got a pet with you, it would be the perfect place for your furry family member to go for a walk or stretch.
