This campground is 5 stars all around and we will definitely return…read more There are no sewer hook ups so you kind of have to use their restrooms/showers unless you drive to the dump station if you are staying for a week.. thus, the drop in a star (to be mentioned below) The GOOD: Pretty much everything! Lots of shade, big sites, signs everywhere to find your way, TONS of trails, dog friendly, friendly staff.. Bunker beach is walking distance, the activity/event center is gorgeous. There are stables at the regional park as well as the stunning golf course that we did not use. Just absolutely beautiful grounds. Bring a bike or take some long hikes. Maps are well marked and so much to see! Our California campgrounds are not this green and lush or have sites so spacious so we LOVED that! The BAD: Spiders (Daddy long legs) everywhere.. we sprayed eco friendly bug spray each day around the picnic table, tent and trailer and helped a bit.. but after 3 spiders on the window curtain next to my bed in he RV and a big old spider ON my bed.. I had a big more compassion for my boys in the tent with too many of them to count on top of the tent. Bathrooms - need to be cleaned as the sinks were pretty gross on most occasions. The water in the shower? I froze for all 3 showers and there is no way to control the hot/cold, no water pressure (which is kind of common at campgrounds) but not even a spray.. just a slow trickle/stream from the shower except in the family bathroom, a faint spray (also cold). Oddly, my boys showered once in the men's showers and said it was too hot, they had to get out. The showers were also unpleasant with spiders everywhere, moths flying at you from every direction. There were grasshoppers in abundance as well, but the moths were pretty disgusting. The GOOD FAR FAR outweigh the BAD and definitely recommend a stay here. We visited in a small travel trailer and had one of the pull thru sites, #52. It seemed to be one of the few with no shade and will request a different site next week when we return. However, it's convenient to everything and not a bad site, just others we like better after seeing the layout. They deliver your firewood to your site for you. A small bundle at the store is $7 or you can upgrade to $10 for twice as much and it's delivered right to your site. We stayed 2 nights while visiting relatives in the area and my boys (twins age 11) loved it! The mini golf ($2/player) is clean and well maintained, though the cups are higher than the greens on a few holes leaving us frustrated on a few shots.. shuffleboard was a hit (free) and the game room with air hockey ($.75/game) was where they spent most of their time. The game goes until someone scores 7 points. The other games were $.50 each. The pool was clean and had many chairs, though on the weekend it had more people than we wanted to hang with so we didn't do the pool. Wifi is available but very slow. I don't agree that it's not a destination spot as we've been to many campgrounds that definitely are NOT.. this KOA has the nicest and caring group of people working there as well as immaculate grounds, that I would recommend it highly. Obviously there are a multitude of things to do in the area and this is a great base camp for that. My only issue with all KOA's in general is that my boys cannot pop up a tent outside our tiny trailer with plenty of space and grass. That is a KOA rule so I can't pick on this place too bad about it. We are returning again next week for 3 nights and my boys are excited to stay again

We received a buzzer and went back for it when it was ready. As I picked it up, there was another woman there complaining about hers not being done all the way and was going to have to wait another 20-30 min for a new one. I was happy to see all 3 of our pizzas were cooked and enjoyed by all. Also had food from the other concessions, the GF bun was fresher this time around and had to wait 25 min for a veggie burger that I had to keep running back to check on until I asked if the could hollar out the side window when it was done. A nice woman delivered it to me but only after my fries blew away in the wind one of the times I got up to check on my burger. Overpriced food aside with "meh" service, it was a great day we all enjoyed. We came back a second day with some relatives another day and it was less crowded on a Tuesday. We would visit again. I…read morelove the paved trail the human companions can walk on while your dog follows you and can be playful with friends along the way. I encountered some pretty nice humans here, as well as their pups. Enjoyed some nice conversations with strangers or just walked alone. So much space for dogs to run free. Water jugs were at both ends of the park but were both empty on all of our visits, so bring water for your furry friend. The rules say no digging, but there are some decent sized holes under the picnic tables where the dogs have tried to find a cool place to lay down. Lots of trees, well maintained, bags and buckets for doggy doo. On one occasion there were gunshots at a nearby shooting range that kind of spooked my pups so just be aware. Otherwise, our dogs were so excited to hop in the car and know they were coming here. You can also walk the trails, but it's a hike from the campground and our pup was tired out just walking to the park. Plenty of parking, though traffic can get heavy entering if arriving when the nearby dump opens.

I saw a little kid roaming around all by him or herself. That neighborhood seemed to have gang stalking activity. I experienced some weird situations and others said the same thing. I never felt comfortable walking in that park. The neighbors seemed to be messing with others and the swing set even got damaged by someone, Not a safe or friendly neighborhood in my opinion.
