This campground is 5 stars all around and we will definitely return…read more There are no sewer hook ups so you kind of have to use their restrooms/showers unless you drive to the dump station if you are staying for a week.. thus, the drop in a star (to be mentioned below) The GOOD: Pretty much everything! Lots of shade, big sites, signs everywhere to find your way, TONS of trails, dog friendly, friendly staff.. Bunker beach is walking distance, the activity/event center is gorgeous. There are stables at the regional park as well as the stunning golf course that we did not use. Just absolutely beautiful grounds. Bring a bike or take some long hikes. Maps are well marked and so much to see! Our California campgrounds are not this green and lush or have sites so spacious so we LOVED that! The BAD: Spiders (Daddy long legs) everywhere.. we sprayed eco friendly bug spray each day around the picnic table, tent and trailer and helped a bit.. but after 3 spiders on the window curtain next to my bed in he RV and a big old spider ON my bed.. I had a big more compassion for my boys in the tent with too many of them to count on top of the tent. Bathrooms - need to be cleaned as the sinks were pretty gross on most occasions. The water in the shower? I froze for all 3 showers and there is no way to control the hot/cold, no water pressure (which is kind of common at campgrounds) but not even a spray.. just a slow trickle/stream from the shower except in the family bathroom, a faint spray (also cold). Oddly, my boys showered once in the men's showers and said it was too hot, they had to get out. The showers were also unpleasant with spiders everywhere, moths flying at you from every direction. There were grasshoppers in abundance as well, but the moths were pretty disgusting. The GOOD FAR FAR outweigh the BAD and definitely recommend a stay here. It IS camping so just expect a lot of bugs around and you won't be disappointed!

No thanks to the filthy conditions of the many cabins we had paid for in addition to the main lodge. Hair in showers, toilets overflowing with crap (as in feces, shit, poop...well you get the idea). Had it not been for my awesome sister who arrived early AND DID HER BEST TO POWER CLEAN SAID CABINS AND LODGE, we would have been unable to eat, sleep or even keep our eyes & nasal passages open. The staff was and still is unresponsive to our disdain and will certainly never see us again! It's a shame. A real, real shame because it's situated in a absolutely beautiful part of this fine state, loads of trees & a pristine view of Green Lake. "You sho have a purdy mouth." Ugh...

The site to park our trailer in was smaller than anticipated and they just put fresh grass down and gravel down. It is obviously because of the flooding of that particular site. Our site was C 11. We were told by Manager Maya when we got there that only four spaces are available for daily/weekly rentals. If we knew that in advance, that would have told us so much more about this terrible place. We paid in advance for five days ($405.00!) expecting much better. The majority of the trailers there are permanent and rundown. They have obviously been there for a long while. Mud roads in/out allow you to get STUCK. VERY DISAPPOINTED. RUN AWAY FROM EVEN CONSIDERING THIS CAMPGROUND. Stillwater has a reputation as an upscale community and area. This "trailer park" is an absolute P.O.S. with mud/muck/dirt/unsightly areas and junk throughout the area.

With Kate C. as our guide, I knew this would be a lovely experience. We focused on the goddess Lakshmi and plant Tulsi. Working with both energies really brought out the themes of sunshine, abundance, exploration and love for me. I got to play with all these themes on the property. Lake Osceola Retreat's land is outstanding from both the interior and exterior. Lush rolling green hills, varying ponds, hiking trails, lounge chairs, a swing hanging from the tree, sauna, jacuzzi, flowers, herbs and exterior porch were some of my favorites. The small details such as mosaics around the home made me smile. For wildlife I saw the cutest otter floating on its back for 20 minutes, 1 deer, eagles nest, a yellow bird, squirrels, butterflies, a frog and more. I had a serendipitous connection with another gal regarding the blue vervain plant that filled in a big portion of the landscape. Connected to the land is a lake which contains some kayaks and row boats next to the dock. Swimmers beware: while swimmable, the water is beyond murky and weedy. I did jump in to get the full experience along with a kayak adventure around the entire lake. Being there solo with only 1 other cabin on the lake was serene. The water was like glass everyday as zero motor boats exist. For my room, I had a the red lotus room and slept comfortably. The property has various wings where rooms exist. In my wing, there were 3 rooms and 1 bathroom. The retreat gives you shower towels and every gal brought her own beach towel and toiletries. The best part of the interior of the home was the yoga room where we spent a majority of our time. Yoga props such as mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters are available to use. For my retreat, we had a beautiful alter with flowers, tarot cards, pictures, reading materials and more. We did various yoga classes, guided meditations and women's circles. This space was extremely grounding and healing to me. Each day, my host made a meal. The kitchen was large and boasted a long wooden table big enough for all the gals and more. All the dishes and amenities were available for us to use along with a dishwasher. We had soup, curry, hibiscus tea, eggs, toast, berries, a cacao ceremony, coffee, tea, and dates with peanut butter. I will always remember how clear my mind was coming into this retreat along with after. I felt called to explore, be with women, and absorb myself in nature. All of this was possible because of Lake Osceola'a space and Kate C.'s magic. Thank you for sharing your home - it is absolutely lovely!!

I purchased tickets a day in advance just in case they filled up quickly. I purchased 2 adults and 1 child ticket. My son was so stoked to go on his first trolley ride (he's 6). We got a huge surprise when we pulled up to pick up our tickets and my son's local school bus driver (Terry) was going to be driving and giving us the tour today! Yay! What a treat! We got great seats on one of their brand new trolleys. Terry drove us around downtown Stillwater very carefully and we learned lots about this amazing lumber hub back in the day. We also got to drive by some historic and beautiful houses in Stillwater (north and south hills) with amazing views. We had a blast and I would highly recommend this as a great tour if you want to learn about the birthplace of Minnesota and take a break from walking Main Street. They also have some seasonal and other trolley offerings like princess story time or another seasonal spooky tour in October. Check it out!

RUN DOWN B & B. It's been five years since my husband and I stayed at the Covington Inn. Sadly, the…read moreB & B is showing its age and neglect. We roomed in the Pilot House Suite. There was one lightbulb burnt out in our room and three lightbulbs burnt out in the bathroom. The panel covering the bathroom sink bottom had fallen off. The towels were cheap white fabric and not classy. One of the bannisters on the spiral staircase rail was loose and wobbly that could cause a tripping accident. There were lots of spider webs on the boat's exterior and a stain on the cushion of a deck chair. Breakfast was almost inedible because the hash browns and mini quiches were blackened and burnt. Skip the breakfast! The cabins are still unique, but be aware to arrive with low expectations as far as being a guest-ready B & B.

I've tried to get Yelp to indicate "permanently closed," but the listing is still up. Too bad, because back in the day, this was a sweet and charming place to stay. Ownership changed and it went downhill rapidly. I really wish Yelp would maintain some credibility and indicate this place is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Folks, it simply is NOT THERE.
