Unfortunately, I received an email about 5 days before I was due to pick up the arrangement essentially advising that my selection was no longer available because the flowers wouldn't be in season the month of December. Huh? They explained that they would do their best but I asked for a refund instead. Apparently there was a website issue that allowed the purchase to go through but shouldn't have. Disappointed and frustrated, I placed a last minute birthday order with a large corporation and tried to put the matter behind me. Well color me surprised when the Flowers & Fancies team sent me an arrangement to apologize for the error. I was shocked, surprised, and necessarily reminded that mistakes happen and it's best to have patience and understanding, especially for local, well meaning businesses. The arrangement provided is gorgeous and makes the one I ordered from a large corporation just doesn't compare. Thank you to Heather and the Flowers & Fancies team for making it right. I've frequented the area for quite a few years and can say they the businesses that lease here change fairly often. Shopping choices do seem to be catered to a certain [middle age] crowd. The outside lawn area is a really good spot to hang with family and friends; during the warmer seasons they'll have swinging benches and a nighttime concert series with live bands. During the colder seasons, they transform the area into an ice skating rink. If you like farmers/flea markets, stop by early fall mornings - lots of good vendors for jams, candles, pet goods, etc. Lately they have been enforcing the chaperone/minor curfew policy. I think it helps keep the vibe family friendly and makes the place feel secure.

I put my number in but apparently, she was ringing up my order as a brand new purchase. When I told her that I was returning an item, she responded that I never informed her that I had a returned. I responded by informing her that she never said hello to me and never asked what I needed. She argued back that she asked me how I was doing and that it was my fault that she rung up the purchase. I educated her on customer service and informed of better ways to act as a cashier. She processed my return finally. Because of this interaction, I wouldn't come back to location. If Kristen isn't able to remain professional and welcoming while working at the cash register, she should find a different position that doesn't require employee-to-customer interactions.

Some of the aisles had a lot of empty spaces which is something I'm not used to seeing in dollar trees either. The elderly African American lady who was cashiering me was very sweet.
