Hall of Frames - Just one of their cases of Chrome Hearts selection. - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Christian & Simon are godsends. They were able to repair my Chrome Hearts Kink sunglasses when others couldn't. Not only does Hall of Frames stock the best Chrome Hears eyewear in LA, but they furthermore are skilled craftsmen who have the expertise to know how to properly repair the ever-so intricate and ornate design and engineering that goes into all Chrome Hearts eyewear. Ultra thankful to have had the pleasure of coming into contact with the store. Big thanks! read more

THE BEST PLACE FOR FRAMES! Customer service was exquisite. I'm very picky but they had no issues with me trying on 20+ pairs. I found a pair I liked and I couldn't be happier. read more

I was looking forward to working with them to purchase my next pair of Chrome Hearts Frames. I sent an email requesting that they send me a sample of styles they had in stock based on my rim shape preference. I didn't receive a call nor email regarding my inquiry. However, I was able to secure my new Chrome Hearts with another vendor. With LA traffic and time constraints of busy people they should be more accommodating and responsive. I was able to secure my new frames with another vendor. Not sure why I never received a response. But hey...last I checked Moolah spends anywhere so I just took my business elsewhere! read more

I absolutely love Hall of Frames. They have a fabulous selection of beautiful sunglasses. Now, let me tell you about the staff, they are wonderful. I called this past Sunday to order some sunglasses. I was greeted by Simon who is friendly, helpful and wonderful. He took the time to help me decide on what to get and gave me great feedback. I ended up ordering 4 pair. Simon is my new best friend there. I also spoke to the owner Shawn and he is also a gem. This is my forever home to place for sunglasses. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. They truly make it a fun experience. read more

David has been an absolute God send. Made my buying experience as good as you could ask for. I needed to come purchase some glasses as a gift with almost nothing to go off direction wise. David walked me through their entire selection over the course of 20+ minutes and helped me come to an informed decision that they ended up loving. I live about 35 minutes away and was hesitant to even make the drive. I'm grateful I did, I will only be purchasing from Hall of Frames going forward. read more

Was walking to Jon and Vinny's for lunch and stumbled on this store. Had to check it out. What a great selection they have and never had such amazing customer service. I can't believe I've never heard of this store before. Ask for David, he's so knowledgeable and literally the best! Will be back soon for another pair! read more

Let's begin First off everyone in the store is extremely helpful and approachable, you don't feel alienated walking in amazing to find from a luxury goods store. I would like to give my greatest thanks to Shawn and Simon for the incredible help, they not only helped me try on a dozen frames but also explained every part of the process to build my custom pair of frames. Letting me try various lens styles, answered all my questions and more with technical breakdowns on how everything worked. Along with the excellent customer service came an amazing selection to pick from with frames that have long gone catalogs and new products. If you're interested h the market for a pair of glasses look no further. Thank you for everything! read more

The whole staff is the great! Always respectful, answer and return calls. I had to ship my chrome hearts to them under my warranty and they made sure it was handled without any hassles. Great company and I will be shopping with them again! Special s/o to David! Thank you HOF Family, read more

Went there to look at their selection of chrome hearts glasses right before closing and the worker there named David was amazing. He was so patient and let me try out a bunch of pairs before I found the ones I liked the most. Their prices are really fair (when it comes to high end stuff) and I highly recommend going there for any of your glasses needs! read more

Shaun had great customer service. This was my first set of designer (Cartier) frames and he was very informative on lense shape. Lense tint. And advised of the importance of signing the warranty page at the end of the Cartier booklet. Will be coming back here for a second set of Cartiers and will hope to work with Shaun again read more

I visited the shop and purchased a pair of frames in the summer a couple years back. The store staff was professional and accommodating, and the frames selection oozed style. I lost my glasses recently but I emailed the company to see if they had the details on the frames and they had the information pretty much immediately. Thank you James! read more

When you visit Los Angeles, you must go to Hall of Frames first and visit Shaun and his incredible team to pick up your "vacation sunglasses"! Hall of Frames has the most exclusive selection of Chrome Hearts, Balenciaga, Cartier, and Celine you'll find west of the Mississippi River. There are also more affordable selections available as well. Not to mention you can get a class on how to replace your lens if you are lucky. No need to go to Cartier, for "Buffs or wires or even bust downs." Hall of Frames is also fantastic because there are three parking spaces available to clients who coming in to see Mike or some of the guys and P. I've had a genuine great experience every time I come down and you will too. I can't wait to see where Hall of Frames goes, because they are doing big things. Looking forward to coming back and picking up my newly tinted "honey" lens! read more

AWESOME place to find almost any style of eyewear!! Shaun and the team there just get it. They're eyewear selection is top notch and I'm sure you'll find what you want going in there. Definitely a must to stop by if you're looking for glasses. Thanks Shaun!! I appreciate all your help with my glasses. read more

Got a pair of prescription lenses made for some metal frames I brought in. The lenses were done correctly in a timely manner, and I got a phone call telling me they were ready for pickup so I got them this afternoon just in time for work today. They also gave me a case for the glasses, some cleaning fluid, and a couple of lens cloths. Cool. I still can't get used to the finger signature when paying with a credit card because it always looks like I signed it during an earthquake. read more

Outstanding personal service and excellent work! I have an expensive pair of prescription glasses and the frame broke. I took it to the high end place that I'd bought them and was told that they couldn't be fixed and that I'd have to purchase a brand new frame. I found Fairfax Optical on Yelp. Having read all the great reviews, I went and met with Sean. The service surpassed my expectations. It was no problem repairing my frames and the turnaround for the work took no time at all! I look forward to returning and buying some new glasses. They've got a terrific selection of unique and stylish frames. I highly recommend Fairfax Optical and thanks to Sean and his team! read more

Came across this because of the reviews. Their selection of new and vintage frames are amazing. I got the same pair I saw at Nordstrom for half the price. I'm also having them customize lenses for me on a vintage pair I picked up, prescription and dyed to a cool color. Pro tip - amazing tea place a couple doors down called Pearls! read more

Hall of Frames - My awesome new Retrosuperfuture glasses :) - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Los Angeles, California

The best place to get glasses in LA! Getting new glasses can be a scary process. I've worn them since I was 3, and the right pair can make you feel amazing, the wrong pair and you want to run and hide. On top of that I need AR anti reflective coating and polycarbonate lenses so it can be painfully expensive too. Well it was before I found Fairfax Optical! It's a place to look forward to shopping for glasses. Massive selection of designer frames and incredible prices. Paulina was so nice, taking the time to find the perfect frames that fit my face and my style. If it exists they probably have it. Classic styles and latest trends, there was so many options to choose from. Normally I have to settle for one that is ok but not really what I want - I love what I found. Then it was preparing for how much the damage would be for a pair of nice Versace frames plus all the bells and whistles on the lenses. The price was great! The total price including lenses was $200 less than my old designer frames, and even less than I would pay for lenses alone at the crafters places. Shaun was so nice to work with, and I know I am getting high quality lenses and frames - I can't wait to pick up my new glasses and check out the sunglasses too!! read more

As one of LA's top vintage businesses I am always looking for an amazing deal on quality eye wear, and a place to replace lenses in our vintage sunglasses, so when a friend referred me to this shop I was so thrilled....I have been coming here for years now, and Gary never lets me down....mind you be prepared to wait, as there is always a line to get his personal attention....but, I suppose that is to be expected, for they are without question the best deal in town, for the very best service....and if they get to know you well you can simply do a drive by drop off like I do....they know what I like, and rarely ever need to ask me what I want when working on frames that are for me personally, and I am always thrilled with their price and the quality of their work. LOVE the area too, very colorful and fun to shop the other businesses while you wait. Don't expect a slick fancy place, the shop has an at-home feeling, and when it comes to your eyesight somehow that is a comfort....you just know you are getting personal service form someone who honestly cares about his customer. They also have a terrific selection of contemporary and vintage eye wear, so I have also found many fabulous frames for myself that were difficult to resit! I really think there is no better place in the greater Los Angeles area. read more

My friend tipped me off to this place, and for that I owe her a truly exceptional favor, because this place is a bundle of awesome. The service is friendly, attentive and expert. The prices are excellent. And -- as someone who compulsively buys vintage frames this is the most important thing -- custom carved prescription lenses will set you back a mere $35. And they are excellent quality lenses because I'll have you know I am not very gentle with my glasses and there is nary a scratch on my lenses. Also parking is easy -- plenty on Fairfax or on a nearby residential street. read more

I've been going to LensCrafters for years and I never looked for another spot as I was always happy with the service. I had lunch with my friend at Jon and Vinnys and we decided to go for a walk after. I walked by this place and a pair of adorable balenciaga sunglasses caught my eye in the window. The sign looked old and in need of replacing. Not sure if it's on purpose but once you walk in, wow. The selection they had was probably the largest I've seen. Not only did they have everything LensCrafters had but they had more brands and half the store is as they say "deadstock vintage". I honestly was overwhelmed but I ended up picking up these cute pink cat-eye illesteva sunglasses this vintage fendi eyeglass. The young lady Pauline that helped me out was so nice and patient with me, I kind of felt bad. In the end they were able to put my prescription in both pairs within a few days and another guy, Shaun called me and was super helpful when I picked them up! I got 2 pairs with my prescription for what I was paying for 1 at LensCrafters. This is definitely my new favorite eyewear shop. I highly recommend just popping your head in to check it out next time you're in the area. Side note: parking is terrible so try the side streets or canters deli parking lot. Just make sure to get a pastry and validation on the way back to your car or you'll have to pay. read more

Huge thank you to Shaun and his team!!! I am a serial procrastinator, so when I forgot to pick up my glasses on Friday only to find out they are closed on Saturdays (the day I left for Thailand) I was pissed at myself, and fully expecting to have to buy non prescription glasses for my trip. Shaun responded within an hour of my early morning message and went above and beyond to make sure that I got my glasses before I had to leave. Los Angeles is not a city famous for its customer service but this business is the exception. Fair prices and a staff that truly cares, makes fairfax optical my only choice from now on. Thank you Shaun, that glasses look/work phenomenally. read more

THE BEST!!! I have been coming here for years. I was first introduced when I was in town for a tradeshow in 2007. I have bought several pairs from here, so have my friends and family. I am a lover of all things vintage--especially sunglasses. They have the best selection of new + vintage glasses and their prices are great. The entire family is so sweet and they are always willing to help. Gary is so knowlegable! I was in search of a pair of Cazal glasses and he did his best to find them. Not to mention, he never gives me a hard time when I need my glasses adjusted or cleaned. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. All they need is a website for people like me who moved back to NYC! read more

ITs the best place in town...

I wanted to give an update because of the outstanding service I received from Sean and his staff. I hadn't been to the store since the new owners took over, and I wondered if they would be just as good as the previous owner. They exceeded my expectations! I still have the Emilio Pucci sunglasses, and I wanted to change the prescription. They originally messed up the prescription (due to an employee who has since been fired) and they went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was happy with the new prescription. I wouldn't dream of going any place else for glasses/sunglasses. Thanks guys! read more

I HATE the shitty and spotty --at best-- hours they keep. I drove 25 miles to come here on a Sunday, only to see a sign with a lame excuse for not being open today. Really Gary, no one else could come open the shop? Fuck this, I WAS a long time customer until today... but your lousy hours are just unbearable. You lost my business, my very frequent business. Never again. Bye read more

Gary is the absolute best! I live in New York and send all of my optical work to Fairfax Optical. His work is so much better than all of the other opticians that I have ever encountered...and that includes the super high-end optical stores. His prices are phenomenal too. One thing that you have to remember when calling. Fairfax Optical Lab is just that, an optical lab. Besides their storefront, they do optical work for many other opticians. So go to Gary and you cut out the incredibly expensive middle man. read more

If you're looking for a great deal with a guy who backs up his product 100%, drop by and talk to Gary. He's got hundreds of frames - just as eclectic as the Farifax/Beverly/Melrose neighborhood - and, if he doesn't have what you're looking for, he'll do whatever he can to find it. I've been buying glasses from him for several years, and I can vouch for both his customer service and commitment for providing a great product at a great price. read more
