The splash pad is small but pretty fun. It's close to bathrooms which is great. The playground is very small. I would say this park is great for toddlers and maybe preschoolers. If you have kids older than four, it's not that fun. The skate park could actually be fun for young elementary kids if you get there early enough before the bigger kids.

You probably lost all your money there or just got kicked out - they don't tolerate any nonsense whatsoever - oh well you learned your lesson and good thing you have your skateboard in the back trunk. The trash was only up front and the toilet was a space age looking thing. Looked like a flying saucer. How cool is that? They call them the Portland Loo. This little park is as good as it gets. Incredible design - somebody did a great job squeezing it in. Half of it opens up to a parking lot so there isn't this claustrophobia inducing feeling when your there. Some good lighting even at night - which is great as the sun sets early now. Grab your skateboard and come here - you'll be as happy as my cat with his beach side crunch party mix treats.

It is open 7 days a week from 6am - Dusk. The park is fully gated with 24 hours surveillance cameras. Here you can practice and fine tune all your boarding tricks on their ramps, rails, steps, ect... There is also a shaded picnic area with one picnic table for those whom need to take a break ! Free to use all the amenities the park has to offer. Just a heads-up, there are no restrooms here. The park requires helmet and pads, has a bathroom, water fountains and allows bladers and scooters and has experts to beginners. There's no snacks but the coner store/deli is jsut a block away, just past the Best Western Hotel on Dry Creek. There's a great big oak tree that shades an area where you can get yer gear on, sit and watch or hang out with friends. It's really an example, no A MODEL of how city government and locals can come together and support space for our youth. There's no graffiti and zero tolerance for drugs or violence and signs that say "This is Your Park, Take Care of it" and the kidz and elders do = every time I go there, it makes me smile! I've seen real young kidz and veteran/ experts ride here all toegther no prob'! This park just has a great energy, great feel! This is such a great little park hidden off the beaten path, with nice grass and really nice smooth concrete bowls, (so no bikes here)..the layout is not huge... but just flows ....so sweet, even if you don't skate take your lunch and hang out and watch the talent do their thing, SK8 for LIFE!

The skate park had its grand opening a few days ago. Apparently, it was too crowded to really ride…read morewell. I took a scooter rider with me today and there wasn't a big crowd. There were 2 bike riders, a few scooter riders, and a lot of skaters, though not inline skaters. The skate park is big but not huge. It is not nearly as big as Lake Cunningham in San Jose, but close to Granite in Sacramento. There are two bean bowls--no waiting. There are many street bits from the front gate onward, including a working fire hydrant, a leaning parking pole, and many rails and benches to grind. Besides the two bean bowls, there is a bigger, multi-purpose bowl with a spine almost splitting it, and a very good wall extension. They have bleachers on the side and a small tent-like cover toward the center of the skate park. Most everything seems possible to skate.

The Speedway parking lot is shared with the skate park. The park is free to use and open everyday from 8 am until the sun goes down. It has the variety of ramps, bowls, ledges, and straight aways. The few times I dropped on by, which were weekend afternoons, the place was neat and tidy and occupied mainly with families. Chill vibes. But that's not to say there are never any rowdies. Oh for the folks wondering if I shredded out there, those days are way behind me. Another important thing to note is that there are no restroom facilities, just a porta toilet.

By 3:30 there was at least 25 kids there. Seems to be mostly older teens/20 somethings. Bikes are okay as long as you stay out out the boarders' way. Same with scooters. Locals are nice; I've never had my kid run over or yelled at; they always are cheering her on if anything, or they will just stay out of her way. She doesn't care how crowded it is. Definitely her favorite park.
