    Andrews Park, Vacaville

Big beautiful park that includes a much needed public restroom. Thanks for that. The 18 acre part has a large playground that looks quite awesome. Picnic shelters will grills and electrical outlets and an open air stage. The park also has a nice walkable trail along the Ulatis Creek that has some captions and reading so the kids have something to do while the slower adults catch up! Great place to relax and hangout during COVID. Plenty of space on the grass to host a picnic, area of trees to setup a slack line, and playground for kids. There are picnic tables scattered around and the park is clean. There's a tiny parking lot located on side but it's better to just park downtown and walk in.

This park is one of our favorites! Great for kids and dogs. Conveniently located downtown by the library and so many eateries. Nice walking path, lots of shade. There is also a bathroom with running water that is stocked with hand soap and paper towels. There is a lovely picnic area with several tables that would make this park great for a party. This park always has so many great events going on here. Fiesta days, fireworks, creek walk, food truck mania, Easter egg hunt, farmers market, movies in the park and so much more. My one fear in the park is that with all the wood on the playground it is an easy place for a little to hide and not be seen. When it gets busy it and be a little nerve racking. But from a kids perspective it is an amazing hide and seek park. The one suggestion I would make would be to add doggie bags around the park. We did see some feces as we walked along today.

As parks go, Andrews Park is rather large; it has a nice enclosed children's play area at the top of the hill and a small stream that runs the southwest perimeter. Teenagers have been known to put up volleyball nets or play frisbee tag on the large expanse of lawn. There is a vast flat area for gathering and the city always has some function scheduled for the public. Traditionally Andrews Park plays host to Fiesta Days, Creekwalk, Fourth of July firewalks, the annual Christmas tree lighting (in conjunction with Main Street), and many outdoor performances. I even saw child bicycle races one morning while visiting the Farmer's Market. It is not surprising to see rented bouncy houses for private birthday parties or young adults having their senior or Quincinera photos taken utilizing one of the many landscaped settings. I've even seen engagement photos being taken as well. There is ample parking located nearby and if you get hungry or thirsty there are a plethora of choices up and down Main Street that should please even the fussiest eater.

Very cool park overall. A lot of walking areas and great playground for the kids. Right next to the downtown Vacaville area so you can go get an awesome meal nearby and walk it off in the park. I have been here for some really cool events like 4th of July and others and they have some live bands and good vendors. This is THE park in Vacaville, all others would be considered neighborhood parks.

This park is beautiful and well kept! Came here the first time with my family and my son had a blast! The playground is nice and big and very fun! This park is well maintained and has a decent amount of picnic areas. There are a lot of shady areas and the grass is healthy. What more can you ask for in a park? It's also right next to the Vacaville Public Library. After an hour park fun we walked to Los Reyes Restaurant for some lunch.

The kids play ground is great. Includes a mini climbing wall, swings, slides, climbing structure and lots more. The climbing area looks like a giant fort. My kids ran around here for over an hour without stopping!!

    The girls love our park!

I recently found out about this place from a friend's Instagram story when they went. So I made…read moresure to plan a hike here for when I had time. I was able to come here in the middle of the week around noon. The GPS made this place easy to find. There is plenty of parking here at pena adobe park and lagoon valley park. The hike is located at lagoon valley park, so don't mix those up. You do have to pay $5 for parking, and the machine kiosk was broken when I went, but you can still pay through the park mobile app, which is what I did. The hike is listed as moderate, but felt borderline difficult to me (maybe I'm just out of shape). There is a lot of up hill when you first start, and because there wasn't a lot of shade combined with me going on the hottest day of the week (low 80 degrees), it did make it feel more difficult. After I parked, I was a bit confused on where to go so had to ask someone finishing up their hike for the direction. I was instructed to go up the main trail past the gate for the main trail to the lighthouse at the top. There are lots of trails here, but the one to the top of the hill is the most popular, and probably the most difficult). Once you park in the lot by the lake/pond, you cross the road to the grassy side and follow that trail to the gate that keeps the cows inside. There is another easier hike/walk your can take around the lake/pond, which is mostly flat. The views on this hike are great. Despite it being a little warmer, the breeze helped a lot. I liked the views and made it to the top after about 1 and a half hours. In total, it took me about 2 hours to finish the hike. And that's with a 20 minute break halfway going uphill. Going downhill is a lot faster. I'll be back for one of the other trails and how to bring family and friends to join.

This place is great right now late January. I think it's probably hot as heck in the summer. My…read morekids and I went for a walk around the lagoon, it took us about 50 minutes. Nice walk on a dry day. Would be super muddy in the rain. Seems like a place that's only good during a particular weather/season. Parking is $5+. Lots of picnic tables, some bathrooms and a playground available. We'll probably be back if we find ourselves in the area.

Magnolia Park is still newer, so of course it looks beautiful and well-kept. There are covered bench and table areas to enjoy a picnic or even throw a party. Those, unfortunately, are the only shaded areas at the park. Given how hot Vacaville can get, this is quite disappointing. The dining areas are fairly clean, for the most part. We will, unfortunately, always have individuals who will not clean up after themselves though. In regard to play areas, there are a couple areas where both big kids and little ones can enjoy. The jungle gym areas have bark to help soften kids' falls. I'm personally not a fan of the bark, since it gets in shoes, cause splinters, and what not. Thankfully, other areas have a thicker rubber covering the ground. There is also a water station where kids can play and enjoy playing in the cool water. This was a huge hit for many of the kids (and adults with their children) during the summer.
