This park has a nice dog area. We stopped here to let our pup out for a while. We noticed that all the dogs, large and small, were in the same enclosure (even though they have signs separating by weight) and that was fine for us because our dog gets along with all sizes. We still made sure to ask if it was ok to bring our smaller dog into the big area and everyone was happy to have us come in. The other dog owners were friendly and welcoming. The park is all bark, which seems good for some things, but not so good for others. Our senior dog had noticeable difficulty with the changing level of the ground due to the bark, so although bark doesn't get muddy, it is also not very stable for walking and running. It was easy to clean up her potty but we also had pieces flung at us when the dogs started chasing one another so I am personally still a fan of grass. Also, we noticed that none of the dogs really used the play areas as there was only one covered seating area right at the entrance that all the owners were stationary near so that was a shame. There was one other picnic table but it was out in the middle with no shade so it was going unused and there were no trees for shade inside the enclosure either. As we were leaving, we did notice a patron sitting in the small dog area alone, so it's nice to have the option. The park was clean and parking was convenient. We needed to use the restroom and after a bit of searching, we found that there was one available near the baseball diamonds in case anyone is in need. This was a nice space to have available to us as we were going through the area but I would probably seek out a park with level ground and/or grass next time we are looking for a spot to get out and enjoy some play time.

No complaints! They have a permanent covering for humans to sit, they have a clear community that comes in and loves their dog park. There are multiple chairs near all of the trees so depending on where the sun is pointing, you can get some shade and sitting in a nice chair. Additionally, there's water and a kiddie pool. And, the thing that makes me the happiest, is people have come by and attached solar powered lights to the fence. And there are solar powered Christmas lights attached to the permanent structure. All of this is designed to keep the area user-friendly at dusk. The place is clean, there's a largedog park next to it is a small dog park.

    Wood chip surface prevents mud

By far the best dog park I've been to in the area around Winters, Davis and Vacaville. The main reason is that the park is covered with wood chips , which prevent mud, and puddles, and make cleaning up poop easy. Thee's a lot of area for the dogs to run. There are separate areas for large and small dogs. There's a water fountain for the dogs, and a useful double gate entry, so that dogs don't accidentally run out when other dogs come or go. People are also friendly there in my experience. The wood chips are soft enough not to hurt paws.

I recently found out about this place from a friend's Instagram story when they went. So I made…read moresure to plan a hike here for when I had time. I was able to come here in the middle of the week around noon. The GPS made this place easy to find. There is plenty of parking here at pena adobe park and lagoon valley park. The hike is located at lagoon valley park, so don't mix those up. You do have to pay $5 for parking, and the machine kiosk was broken when I went, but you can still pay through the park mobile app, which is what I did. The hike is listed as moderate, but felt borderline difficult to me (maybe I'm just out of shape). There is a lot of up hill when you first start, and because there wasn't a lot of shade combined with me going on the hottest day of the week (low 80 degrees), it did make it feel more difficult. After I parked, I was a bit confused on where to go so had to ask someone finishing up their hike for the direction. I was instructed to go up the main trail past the gate for the main trail to the lighthouse at the top. There are lots of trails here, but the one to the top of the hill is the most popular, and probably the most difficult). Once you park in the lot by the lake/pond, you cross the road to the grassy side and follow that trail to the gate that keeps the cows inside. There is another easier hike/walk your can take around the lake/pond, which is mostly flat. The views on this hike are great. Despite it being a little warmer, the breeze helped a lot. I liked the views and made it to the top after about 1 and a half hours. In total, it took me about 2 hours to finish the hike. And that's with a 20 minute break halfway going uphill. Going downhill is a lot faster. I'll be back for one of the other trails and how to bring family and friends to join.

This place is great right now late January. I think it's probably hot as heck in the summer. My…read morekids and I went for a walk around the lagoon, it took us about 50 minutes. Nice walk on a dry day. Would be super muddy in the rain. Seems like a place that's only good during a particular weather/season. Parking is $5+. Lots of picnic tables, some bathrooms and a playground available. We'll probably be back if we find ourselves in the area.

Exercise equipment. A large field for soccer games. Lots of parking. Restrooms and water fountains. Play structures for children. I considered buying a house in this area partially for this park. The dog park is separated into two areas which are not connected. The small dog park is very flat and down some steps or a slope from the restroom picnic area. The large dog park is to the left and goes on a hill. The large dog park has two paved paths. One is like a switch back. The other goes straight up the hill. There's water fountains for the dogs at both the top and bottom of the park. There are also two double gated entrances. The park has some agility structures at the top of the hill, some metal benches throughout, waste bags and trash bins. The landscaping is mostly dirt/bark. There are plenty of trees in the park so the dogs to sniff. It's a great park for the sniffari type of dogs. It's also quite large! It's great for getting your steps in to walk up and down the paths. Most of the people I've met there have been great. On one occasion I have seen a dog walker bringing in 10+ dogs at once... The only words of caution I have would be to dress for the wind and in the summer I have witnessed a snake in the dog park.

The only downside is no matter what because of the location expect high winds at almost all times of the year and day. One of the greatest things I love about this park and I hope to preserve is how clean it is . Rarely as their trash scattered and almost always the parties pick up after themselves where they can meaning they put their stuff and bag it up and put it in the trash or take it out to the dumpsters. This matters when you have a community space ! there's also bulletin boards throughout that show when the parks are reserved for events or when the tables have reservations for parties. (to book reservations or parties you do it directly through the Fairfield rec and parks website.) Last but not least they have a shared book library . It's been there for about three years now I believe.
