It's a great place to let your Littles run wild, and play on the various playground equipment. It's a great place to let those tweens skateboard until their hearts content. It's a great place to connect with neighbors! We love the park because we can get our steps in during sunsets, while enjoying the fresh air. The park is super clean and safe, and it's not unusual to run into neighbors and friends. It's one of my favorite neighborhood parks.

But, there were graffiti vandalism at the skate/bike park, there were lots of big and small leftover actual food and cartons and packages in the playground mulch and all over the park left by community or people who visited. Despite that there were trash bin all over. If not with those, the park is nice if maintained by community or neighborhood. There is one portalet and about two water fountains.

We arrived around 11:30am and it was mostly empty - I think due to the weather. We brought our dog along as well and she was able to be off leash and explore. This park has tennis courts, a pool, a basketball hoop, a baseball diamond and a big playground area with slides, swings and multiple giant animal figures to climb on. I had to drag my daughter home yesterday because she was having too much fun! It's big and spacious and usually packed during the warmer weather with BBQ's and birthday parties. There is street parking which can be a bit hectic depending on which time you go, they also have a small parking lot next to the swimming pool as well. It's a good neighborhood park and we always enjoy our time when we go!

There's a lot here, the park, the zoo, Fairytale Town, picnic benches, playground, plenty of areas for sports, and even performances. There's a good amount of designated parking as well, and while it's an expansive park, it's pretty easy to navigate. We stopped by on an early morning to take out dog for a walk while the weather was still on the cooler side. We explored and kept mostly to the sidewalks. Other people in the park were friendly as we walked past and there were a lot of other people with dogs as well. We noticed that at about 10am the park got a lot more crowded, so we were glad we were on our way out versus just arriving. If you're looking for less people early is definitely better. We had a lot of fun exploring and getting some steps in here.

There's a fun little playground, picnic tables, public art, walking paths, and lots of events! In the past, it's hosted Sactown MoFo, Chalk It Up, and an amazing light saber battle on May the 4th. To all you Star Wars fans, the force was with us that night. It's situated in a nice neighborhood and surrounded by some great bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. I recently wandered by and saw a temporary art installation called Fremont Park Bloom. It was a pleasant and colorful addition to the park. It's a park with a lot to offer, even without any events. Tahoe Park is one of our favorite places to visit!…read more We've lived in the area for almost six years now, and we absolutely love coming here. In the summer, they host food trucks on the last Friday of the month, which is always a treat. The park has lots of shady areas, two playgrounds (one for bigger kids and a smaller one for toddlers), and a track for walking or running. You'll also find fields for soccer, volleyball, and baseball, plus BBQ areas you can reserve. The neighborhood is safe and very family-friendly. One of the best parts is the public swimming pool that opens during the summer. They charge $3 or $4 per person, which is very reasonable. Just a heads-up--this year, they're only accepting cash at the pool. It would be helpful if they posted a sign in the parking lot to let families know. I've seen a few frustrated parents who had to unload all the kids and gear, only to find out inside that they couldn't pay with card. Despite that hiccup, it's a wonderful park for families and we're grateful to have it nearby!

It was a brisk and very windy day,…read morebut the sun was shining and it was a mild day so it was still a great day for a picnic at the park. The kids had a great time. Tahoe Park is huge. It's between 59th and 61st St going east and west and between 8th and 11th Ave going north and south, and it is almost 18 acres big according to the City's website. There are soccer fields, a baseball diamond, a full basketball court, a smaller but adequate kids playground, 2 actually, one bigger, and one for smaller kids. In the summer time, the swimming pools will be open, so that's a great facility for hot weather fun. There is also a big gazebo with tables and seating on the side closest to where we saw kids playing soccer. We hung out closer to the picnic table area since we were grilling up some burgers and hotdogs, and there were several picnic tables to sit at and plenty of room. Although that area isn't very shaded. Our church reserved the tables, but it wasn't at the gazebo so it was a bit hotter where we were picnicking, but since it was so windy that day, it wasn't hot at all. It was the perfect day for flying kites so the kids did that for quite some time. Super fun for them to try to figure out how to get the kites to catch the wind and keep afloat. There's a set of bathrooms near the playground but I didn't use them so I don't know if they were clean or not. All in all, this is a nice park that I've just never been to, guess I keep frequenting the same ones that are familiar to me, but this is an underrated park and it's in a safe residential area, so it's a great place for a BBQ or a picnic or a party. I'm sure we'll be back.

Waters were free, It was nice they had irish dancers and singers fun competitions. My only quam is the VIP section was hogged by people saving shade spots for their friends that were no where to be found, and the result was me and my husband sitting and eating on the ground. Could have been a bit more regulted. Other than that I was happy that the proceeds benefitted City of Refuge. Great organization, the founders are super sweet!

It's not the largest or the fanciest, but it has everything a neighborhood park would need and more and is the preferred go-to for my son because of its play structures. We've stopped in time and again to enjoy the playground, which is filled with local kids on weekends, or eat lunch on a neighboring park bench in the shade beneath some lovely old trees. There's a huge grassy field for running around until you fall, there's a basketball court that is usually occupied by at least one lone future all-star and there is a wading pool that I have yet to see open but is in good functioning order. For those who live nearby, I dare say they are foolish not to take advantage of this resource on a regular basis. I don't live nearby and still do. Bertha, whoever you are, my hat is off to you.

Great playground…read moreand there's a little kids wading pool with a giant toadstool waterfall and a lifeguard sitting at the pool's edge. Most of the children are under the age of four, little tots. I'm thankful for the restaurant that didn't have but one table under an umbrella to sit at. We took our lunch and did a search for parks by us on our google maps. And... so happy this little park was close by with plenty of shade, two picnic tables and four benches all in the shade. I wish I had raised my own children in such a neighborhood park!
