Some fabulous new massage therapists came on staff after a few left. While I miss the ones I used to see, I'm so pleased at the high quality of their replacements. What a treat this place is! This was my first time getting any service from one of the Halina Spa locations, and they have exceeded my expectations. I booked the half day treatment package that included a 60-Minute Swedish Massage, Thermal Relaxation Blanket, Signature Facial, and Pedicure & Manicure. From the beginning, walking in the door, the front desk gals were a delight; so helpful and kind. Le provided my Manicure and Pedicure service. Le was so kind and made sure I was comfortable during both services, and I walked away with fabulous looking nails. Shannon provided my Organic Facial service. Shannon was very knowledgeable and gentle throughout my facial. My skin felt so refreshed afterwards. Dalton provided my Swedish Massage service. This was the most relaxing massage I have had yet! Dalton set a peaceful tone and listened to my concerns. I actually dozed off towards the end when the Thermal Blanket came out. The Grove location is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The entire staff was helpful, knowledgeable and attentive the entire day. I left feeling relaxed and "spa drunk". If you are looking for a "me day", definitely book here! read more

LaNitra is the best massage therapist! She is highly skilled and not only asks what about your needs but actually is responsive and changes up each visit as needed. She's also incredibly intuitive and often finds places that need work that I missed! I literally had the best spa experience at Halina Spa. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by a helpful and friendly staff. They showed me around, made me feel comfortable and brought me a beverage to relax as I awaited for my facial appointment. Sara was amazing, knowledgeable, and her techniques were fantastic! She listened to all of my needs and went above and beyond to ensure I was fully taken care of. Next was my appointment with Dalton for a 60 minute massage. I have been to many different massage locations, but todays massage far exceeded anything I've ever experienced. Dalton has the most unique and incredible technique that rejuvenated my muscles and me walk out feeling completely revitalized. Lastly, Angela did my Dysport.. I have always had to be numbed and even bled with other practitioners, yet Angela had a lite hand, she was patient and took the time to ice my face and ensure every injection was carefully placed. This spa has so many things I'm dying to try. I can't wait to go back and make this my regular place! read more

My second time going. Never again! I live in the neighborhood so was excited to have a spa for monthly facials, botox, massage etc. outside my door. They just don't meet the standard. It is a very low budget experience. 1st time I got a chemical peel and my face did not peel...AT ALL. No glow. No product suggestions. NOTHING! The aesthetician acted as if she had never done a peel before. No follow up and no one cared to even ask. They also had no aftercare material to give when I checked out. I had to ask for it to be emailed because peels can go very wrong if aftercare is not done properly. 2nd time massage. I asked VERY specifically for the BEST deep tissue therapist because I have lots of tension in my shoulder blades and it requires pressure for it to be released. 1st red flag was the girl telling me "everyone" there is good. A classic lie. I reiterated a 3rd time please don't schedule me with a therapist that is not good at deep tissue. She then proceeds to schedule me with an older senior lady named Olga. She seemed very apprehensive and confused about giving the massage when I explained my problem areas. I even told her if she was unable to do it let me know because at that point my instincts were telling me this isn't good. She said it "should be fine". Not something you want to heard before a massage. After having to get a new face cover for the table because it was dirty with mascara stains I explained my UPPER body/Shoulder needs. She proceeds to waste 30 minutes doing a very light swedish massage on my legs. I asked 3 times is this deep tissue and will this help my shoulder. She said yes. I asked again...Can you please increase the pressure. After 45 minutes of light pressure I asked again when she planned to do deep tissue. She asked me if she should use her elbows (50 minutes into the 60 min massage). I told her I don't want to instruct her on what to use I just know therapist i have had in the past have. She then proceeded to practically lay on my back pressing as hard as she could given her age and strength (over 60). When I tried to show her the area on my shoulder she RUDELY said if you can just keep you arm down. She also never had me turn over so she could do my shoulders. This is standard practice when getting a massage. She did the ENTIRE massage with my face smashed down. Also you can't do shoulders (MY PROBLEM AREA) without turning over to fully access them and press them down to release tension in the neck from being turned over for so long. Another amateur move. Why in the world would the scheduler girl pair me with a 60+ year old for a sports/deep tissue massage. The down trodden girl who checked me out could have cared less that I was unhappy and made the comment Oh really she was sweating and everything...as if that meant she did a great job. She also tried to insinuate that I hadn't paid the day prior when I purchased from their half empty, never open, Lina store next door. I have the receipt for that and I also paid and tipped (because this was the schedulers fault!) for this AWFUL massage and now I actually feel worse hours later. Why would you schedule an in shape person with athletic build for a sports massage with a senior WOMAN. Common sense is simply not common with the gen Xers. I don't foresee these people being in the neighborhood long unless they just have money to waste. The service is lackluster, low budget, overpriced, and AMATEUR overall. Customer service and etiquette is a complete ZERO. Proving everything that glitters isn't gold! Definitely a polished turd funded by a trust fund because they can not depend on customers with this type of service. read more
